      I have few doubts. 1.ABB presence sensor and one of my on/off button assigned for some light. But while ON the light by button it goes OFF after the sensors delay time. 2.How to set Time based Control to a Light Ex: Night 10PM to morning 5AM I want to Auto Turn on a Light.

      For abb you need to disable the write flags.
      For the other you need a device to have time functions on it.

    I have one question, when would you use the yellow & grey cable from the KNX cable? I know the red & black are always used but never seen the yellow & grey used.

      The yellow and grey used for auxiliary power. Most of the touch screen needs auxiliary power 24vdc too.

      Connect FB1 - output 1 to the light you want to control. And go select no (brightness independent option). In the parameters FB1 - brightness evaluation

      Download Product database (ETS5). Then import this to ETS then you should be able to find all the gira devices database files there.

    Hello, first of all thank you very much for great tutorials. I have one question. As I read in KNX materials KNX component has BCU (Bus coupling unit) which are checking in some interval the status of AM (Application modul). So for me it looks like even KNX components are not doing anything they are consuming electricity. So simple KNX switch is doing that too. So may question is: Is it really money saving approach comparing to the old style when you have simple switch without any electronic devices and mechanically turn on/off the light for example?

    • @KNX-expert
      @KNX-expert  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Simple switch don't consume any power but it's very limited. You can't turn on/off a light from 10 or more different location on a simple switch.
