I have seen the same results....BR4 have more velocity than the 450. Thanks for your efforts! Good job!

Very cool findings, Brian, and really, again, appreciate the effort to run these tests and post videos on your results. It will save many people time and money for sure and add to the tomes of reloading knowledge on this and other sites.
    Well done!

Best primer sorting test ever seen amazing work.

Nice follow up Brian, Interesting! Saves me doing the test with the BR4 and saves me worrying about weighing out the thousands of primers I use every year. Your increased speed with BR4 mirrors my experience. Also interesting that you only found 4 separate weight classes when I clearly have 5 over 220 primers measured(although only 15 out of the 220 measured were the heaviest outlier). The difference in actual measured weight could be a scale sensitivity or calibration difference.

Fantastic results issue BR4 only And my group size have shrunk considerably in my 6BR Norma I'm not currently weighing my primers but now that I have the new creedmore sports precision scale I may start doing so Thanks again for another great video

Wonder how federal primers hold up to your test?

Need to weigh the primers after firing.

I've weighed fired primers (primer and anvil together) and, within a brand, they all weigh exactly the same.

@@gonagain compare pre and post firing weight. This should give you the primer charge weight.

Bryan, if you shoot 205's in your 6ppc, why are all your tests with BR4s and 450s?

I am a fan of testing and breaking from tradition/consensus practice when tests show something other than tradition works better. For my first few years, I did shoot 205Ms exclusively with N133. Recently, in my effort to test more, I’ve been using CCIs and LT32 in 6PPC. I like the BR-4 and LT32 combo and will keep testing it. Maybe switch to that combo. I plan to test more though to see what combo does better or worse in the various conditions. I’m essentially testing my string of tests. Regardless, if the effects are demonstrated with whatever combo, then it’s an effect to publish for others to add to their knowledge-base.
