The good ole saying the more you know the less you know... So true. And trying to control and suppress your mind is tiring, let your mind he free. And bow down to a higher power, that presence, and life will unfold naturally. Wow that is some deep stuff. Whoever reads this, have a good day, and you got this.

I think maybe I’ve learned more in this one video than the last 20 years of searching for answers.

Good. Me too. It's a reminder of what we already know in our human experience when we quiet the mind and listen .

Oh man this is so Tao Te Ching and Wu Wei, I’d recommend searching for that. It really helps for us Westerners which are predisposed to a certain kind of restlessness ✌️

UCIBME Thanks. I’ve actually read quite a few different sources such as the Tao and others and found them quite inspirational. This specific video struck me on a personal level. 👍

Corvus Morve it’s the belief that truth is aligned with the intellect that means people get tangled up in the words and miss the point. Trying to prove this truth by reference to intellectual argument is like feeding someone the menu instead of the meal and expecting them to be satisfied. There you go some more pseudo religious babble that you’ll probably take apart but maybe at some point your pain will become great enough it will break the arrogance in you. Happened that way for me.

What is reality, who can judge that fully and truly, that little echo chamber on top of our shoulders, I think not. You identify with your intellect, when it's only such a tiny window, a tainted glass, barely hanging onto the frame. I hope it dawns on you of what I am speaking of. All the best

I myself a knower of No things and of 53 yrs on this earth, bow my head and offer humble thanks firstly to God and Natures magnificence and perfection and then my fellow man and woman. Treat a man as he could be, not as he is. Love and kindness all.

We keep bees at work. We have a dozen hives each housing thousands of bees.
Here's a lesson I learned the hard way. Make sure your mower ( tractor in this case ) has GOOD forward momentum and you can drive by fast. I didn't have any net on as I drove past and the tractor was in low gear and they came out and " educated " me.
    It was a painful lesson.
    Thanks and have wonderful week.

Thankyou John and Listeners! I have been using “Ho’oponopono” for a few years now. It’s Hawaiian meaning “to make rightly right”. It’s the practice of being present and realising that all mind stuff is memories, memories in the subconscious. When I do “hooponopono” I am using words of power (words are spells) like “I love you” and “Thankyou” and ask the inner child or subconscious to let go of memories that shroud my awareness and prevent me feeling peace. It sounds mechanical and “new agey” but it really is profound and It works, I’ve watched miracles happen just because I took responsibility for what is happening to me. This practice of “being present” also removes creative blocks as inspiration comes from a higher place but is blocked by subconscious trauma, memories, fears. This practice has changed my life. I am 45 and have always been spiritual but also have always been depressed. Yet since I started remembering to be present the depression is no longer darkly suicidal and I know I have a way of coping now. John’s words fit perfectly with the mysticism and practices I have learned so far, infact they all fit together perfectly and it’s like everything is a piece of the divine puzzle box of wonders for us to explore lol I relate to much of what John says and admire his no fuss approach to this which is what attracted me to Hawaiian mysticism. These feelings of being “holier than thou” is just subconscious mind stuff, the voice of condescension we have heard so many times and becomes our inner monologue that now plays like a recording whenever you attempt to see yourself but You Are Holy! You Are a Divine Being lol. I am Thankful that I am! Look into Hew Len and Ho’oponopono if you like the simplicity of Mr Butlers words you will love it!

A very profound idea I have come across in the Upanishads is that desire is the fundamental force behind the universe. I think it is also that which creates our intellectual errors about the nature of our experience and in Hindu terms keeps us cycling through ''separate'' existences until we relinquish it.

      Wow, that's a deep question

    • @hardcyd3r

Honor is gained for the benefit of you and your group, like family honor. You do sacrificial things to honor your heritage, to create a confident example for the younger people in your group.
Pride is a selfish thing, it honors only the self because it thinks so highly of itself. When you do things for prideful reasons, you are honoring only your ego, not your lineage.
Honor ends, and pride begins, where ego trumps the importance of the people around you.
Of course that's just my best guess lol I'm not our lovely teacher John. 😅♥️
