I don't feel "happy" when wildlife lose their homes to human stupidity, ocean life is vanishing, my elders are lonely, confused & isolated at care facilities, & billionaires are plundering my nation's public lands, greenlighting big polluters & rigging elections. Powerful message. I think we are being broken down for a large scale metamorphosis to occur.... Stay present , meditate and eat better for stronger immunity. It is vital right now. ❤️ from Phoenix, Az
@Sam Cooper John defines Christ in a very general way, not even as a man, but as a symbol of sacrifice for others. Once he spoke of all the "mini-Christs" he sees in the world - the carrot that sacrifices its life for us to eat, for example. A person who lends someone a hand, etc.
Have you watched his video about "What Christ means to him"? I personally like that he views Christ as a symbol available to everyone by whatever name feels right to them versus hard-core and exclusive Christianity. Not everyone is a Christian, but that's not to say they're not spiritual and on the same journey as everyone else. John has made it clear many times that he is not judgmental of people's beliefs and that his understanding of the Bible, Jesus, and God is what he grew up with and how he understands "The Presence". But that there is no "right" or "wrong" way to do so.
I love that you used the word "home" (4:00) When I returned to my faith in Christ and God and prayed for the first time in a long time i was overcome with this incredible indescribable feeling. I guess I'd say it was the Holy Ghost who came over me. But the best way I always felt like describing this feeling and the only word remotely fitting is home. This unlimited feeling of being home
Same, i was filled with love I can’t describe, this world tried to give us something that isn’t really home but fake temporary substitutes of the real thing
John yes this life has purpose God has created us for himself but we think we created ourselves.were here to become saints ,we were angels and born into these bodies we lost all of God’s glory when we came into this world, Yes-to across the valley of shadow of death, the key is to understand divine presence and the prize is sainthood. Yes John Saints and angels.
Another great talk, thank you John! I always feel so relieved by this kind of message, having had the bottom fall out of my life, after thinking I was somewhat "clear." That's why I've read ALL your books-even the poetry. Can't help trying a little Python humor though: In the spirit of the "Luxury!" Monte Python skit of the Four Yorkshiremen: 7 years of depression? Is that all? Luxury! My "Dark Night" went on for more like 15. And I was God before that! "Aye. In them days, we'd a' been glad to have the price of a cup o' tea. GC: A cup ' COLD tea. EI: Without milk or sugar. TJ: OR tea! MP: In a filthy, cracked cup. EI: Luxury! We never used to have a cup. We used to have to drink out of a rolled up newspaper. GC: The best WE could manage was to suck on a piece of damp cloth."
I reject with strength the idea - because it is just such: an idea, a product of the mind!- that this life is no joy ride. To me the Divine is everywhere. It must simply be recognized; until one doesn't do that, yes, they're in exile. A voluntary one. This life is the perfect place to remember and go back to the Divine because this life is Home as well.
He knows its needed as all do who see. We have had a hundred years of being taught to wrap our arms around evil and how it will turn to good. Nope, it only empowers it and we are living in the result of that failing philosophy.
he seems to be angry and getting emotional...he's sucked into externals...he's 'too certain'...he talks a good game but he's 'losing it'...but , he's human and it's fun to see him 'be opinionated'...he's just a regular guy but he's buying into his 'guru', 'pride' and 'fame' and 'being an author''...he's showing his 'ego'
John Smith. I like John a lot but I did notice that he dodged the question about “does he believe in ghosts?” It’s always a problem to dodge a question and change it to giving an answer to something that wasn’t asked. It would have been interesting for John to tell us whether he believed ghosts were projections of parts of our own minds externalised, or whether he believed they existed as independent beings, with personalities and skills and specialist knowledge. He might say “well it doesn’t matter whether I believe in them, just go beyond“. But it’s a politicians answer. Sometimes there is nothing wrong in saying “yes I do believe in them” or “no I don’t really believe in them.” Personally it seems as though he does believe in them but possibly as projections of the more hidden and deep parts of our minds. But he does choose to dodge the question here

I hope he does not show us his pants😳
Hahahaha he means trousers
i laughed when he said cool skater
I offer the suggestion to listen to this multiple times. I know I will ❤
A great joy ride with you
I love that you used the word "home" (4:00)
When I returned to my faith in Christ and God and prayed for the first time in a long time i was overcome with this incredible indescribable feeling. I guess I'd say it was the Holy Ghost who came over me. But the best way I always felt like describing this feeling and the only word remotely fitting is home. This unlimited feeling of being home
viva libertas ergo vivite libertatem beautiful. Keep it up ! I’ll pray for you
Same, i was filled with love I can’t describe, this world tried to give us something that isn’t really home but fake temporary substitutes of the real thing
@@dorothysay8327 thank you
@@truthwithjalani7082 exactly. All human creation is temporary and only gives temporary joy. God is eternal as is the joy we have in him
I hope he lives another 100 years!
Can't help trying a little Python humor though:
In the spirit of the "Luxury!" Monte Python skit of the Four Yorkshiremen:
7 years of depression? Is that all? Luxury! My "Dark Night" went on for more like 15. And I was God before that!
"Aye. In them days, we'd a' been glad to have the price of a cup o' tea.
GC: A cup ' COLD tea.
EI: Without milk or sugar.
TJ: OR tea!
MP: In a filthy, cracked cup.
EI: Luxury! We never used to have a cup. We used to have to drink out of a rolled up newspaper.
GC: The best WE could manage was to suck on a piece of damp cloth."
Oh thanks for the laugh!
L O L !!
Frumpy Doggy
I reject with strength the idea - because it is just such: an idea, a product of the mind!- that this life is no joy ride. To me the Divine is everywhere. It must simply be recognized; until one doesn't do that, yes, they're in exile. A voluntary one. This life is the perfect place to remember and go back to the Divine because this life is Home as well.
blessed is your each word...
all year round Santa...thanks...bless you
More awesomeness
This video feels a bit different. I don't sense the empathy that John often relays. He's being more forward with us.
I have been struggling with spiritual arrogance for a little while, I think I have taken more from this video than any other.
Jeremy Sennett: Good! :o)
John Smith. I like John a lot but I did notice that he dodged the question about “does he believe in ghosts?”
It’s always a problem to dodge a question and change it to giving an answer to something that wasn’t asked.
Sometimes there is nothing wrong in saying “yes I do believe in them” or “no I don’t really believe in them.”
Personally it seems as though he does believe in them but possibly as projections of the more hidden and deep parts of our minds.
But he does choose to dodge the question here
“Silence is beginning and end of a true communication “; “the virus which is 10, and 20 thousand times more dangerous than the corona virus is the virus called’pride’-p-r- i-d-e” , so beautifully said❤❤❤
Enjoy the ride my dears for we are already home, we never left, we just forgot. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy the ride!!!
