- What is the one thing that we love more than a 1911 pistol? A double-stack 1911 pistol, of course!
Throughout the years, these 1911 pistols have maintained their solid reputation in the market. These are the guns that work when you need them. They are mechanically simple, fast, and reliable right from the get-go.
Still, a lot of people wished that these guns had more capacity on them. It's just fortunate that a number of gun manufacturers have listened and decided to integrate a double-stack system into the iconic 1911 platform.

good job including Chambers. Have owned every manufacturer you listed. To this day the only ones I kept are my chambers custom. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than my Night Hawk. the Marval slide cut is straight FIRE.

Since your mention customs, why no love for the Stealth Arms Platypus? Aluminum frame, fully customizable, and they take Glock mags. Fully loaded under $2000. Should be on this list cause according to multiple TH-camrs it competes with the Staccato. Just my two cents. Cheers.
There are a number of outstanding 2011s. Nighthawk, Atlas, Infinity, Vudoo Priest, Watchtower Apache. The list goes on. My prodigy had issues. How do you release a gun that was not ready for prime time? I sent it to my gunsmith for $500 in work to increase reliability. EGW internals were one fix.
@@roguemodel I was lucky to have bought my Prodigy 4.25 in December of '23. It was made in August of '23. It would be very very rare to find "first editions" of any handgun that did not have teething problems. Mine has run absolutely flawless yet my buddy who bought his in early '22 had several. Including too much Cerakote. I hope yours has run well. I did the all EGW upgrades and it is by far my favorite handgun. EGW makes some really good parts. 🙂
