The r9 290 seems to have lasted a lot better, especially considering it has 4GB of VRAM and it beat and still beats the gtx 780 while costing just 399$ at launch the same as the gtx 770.
Sadly, the R9 290/X is no longer getting support. I had 2 of those in CrossFire, but they were held back by my FX 8350. Oh well, 5900X & 5700XTX are serving me well nowadays.
@@scottstamm7022 Back in the day the 290 and fx 8350 were a good combo, but in 2016 the 8350 became too weak for games. Also yeah the 5900X and 5700XT are great choices. RDNA1 is underrated.
I had a 4GB GTX 770 from palit, back in 2014. Was a solid card back in the day and a sold upgrade from GTX 660 (which was an upgrade from GTX 285 :p ) Over the years, I decided that, getting a high/enthusiast end GPU, suits my needs better, as I am able to hold onto my HW much longer (Owned a GTX 1070 and then a 1080Ti, which was recently replaced by a 4080). Nowadays, this is a super expensive hobby, while back then it was somewhat affordable. But even mid range GPUs like this, were able to provide you good gaming experience for a respectable period of time, with less money spent. Kudos to you and this vid.
@@junylokolol. I'm upgraded from a 550ti to 560 ti. It broke and now upgrading to a 770. I can't request more money from my parents since it's their money. 🫥
@@Nicolas11x12English thats reason i got 770 :D Though i had no idea that if go wen with r9 280x for same price, it would still probably work and launch many modern tittles. Who knew nvidia shades in dropping older gpu support fast
On my old PC with GTX 770, I was able to play Cyberpunk and FH5 but I was playing on the earlier versions of those games, in Cyberpunk is was only checking the views so I played in highest? settings in slide show mode, FH5 was playing pretty good on low/medium I could push higher if it had more than 2GB of VRAM
Had the GTX 680 when it launched, so it's the same card. Kepler's generation was awful vs AMD GCN, 290X single Handley can beat all the Kepler line easily, the 770 wasn't a good buy tbh.
I am just starting to educate myself on PC gaming to impress my grandkids. I scored the EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4GB version of that card for $35. It's supposed to be a real power hog tho so I got a GTX 1060 and will compare the two when they arrive.

What were your thoughts on the GTX 770 in 2013 when it launched? 🤔
Did you own or wanted one back then? 😅
As someone who owned an GTX 770 (classified edition) I absolutely loved the card. Honestly its a good gpu.

Indeed, AMD's 200 series aged much better. At least from a performance perspective. ;)

Maybe run similar next w/ old R9 290X?
I wish I could, but neither I nor any friends or relatives own that card anymore. :/
Why? These are GRAPHICS cards. Text is simple.

GTX 770 Like All GTX's is Epic ❤but You Need Lot Of GRAM For It and That's ImPossible To Get 😅
I Recommend To Change The ,,Original Shit" Cooling To VGA Cooling with 2/3 Fans 💁♂ It's Just Sucks.

230w ok it's e-waste by this point
