New CN 8300 SD75IACC Leads CN Q199 and More at Lomira, WI! CN Waukesha Sub

After catching Amtrak #1333 we went for todays CN Q199 as it had the first CN SD75IACC rebuild lead it. After many years CN is rebuilding some of their old SD70 and SD75I locomotives and expanding their service life. These EMD locomotives haven't looked this nice since the 90s and I was excited to see one of these in action. But first we ran into a southbound potash train in Lomira, WI with a ES44DC leading the charge. The horn was a quiet and slightly fouled P3. This train also contained another ES44DC as an end DPU. And now it was time for Q199 but it took quite a bit to get down here as there was some issues around Valley and Byron. Eventually Q199 was cleared out of the marsh siding but I was close to missing it as we didn't want to stay this late but it paid off as we got our first SD75IACC leader of 2024 and more of these units are expected to roll out soon.
