    Thank You for the insight of your experience. I have been practiced with S.N Goenka since 2016 but then it took me many years to decide to get back to retreat each year . I started in Burma , Main Center of S.N Goenka . But I did again in Bangalore . After watching your blog I just signed up for Tiruvammalai in January 2025. Thank You for the inspiration video.

    Thank you for sharing your experience :) I'm always curious to hear from other people doing the Goenka courses. I've sat two so far and served at one. I love having a regular practice and coming back to the simple idea of practice - doing it, practicing in order to experience and observe. The concept of my experience being like an endless three dimensional spiral often helps because it seems paradoxical - there is no goal, yet there can be progress.
    I found those courses to be a really powerful journey with lots of ups and downs. Clinging on, usually to "oh now I've got it", just to realize I've fooled myself again.. hello suffering.. isn't it funny :)

    Very glad to see..Have you tried Self enquiry of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi? If yes, from your experience what is the difference between vipasanna and self enquiry? Do they compliment each other?

    • @MarcoPino
      @MarcoPino  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@palanichidambaramself enquiry is a contemplative practice, no need to sit in a crossed legged position to practice it. It’s completely different to Vipassana which is a mindfulness meditation practice. Since they are completely different there is no reason why you couldn’t practice both.

      @MarcoPino Thank you for prompt reply. Just curious, does vipasana mindfulness practice help in the inquiry of Who Am I?

    • @MarcoPino
      @MarcoPino  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @palanichidambaram like I said Vipassana is a very different technique. It has nothing to do with self enquiry as an analytical meditation, but you could say it does help to understand who we really are. Its focus is also on the removing of ignorance, but in this case is the ignorance of impermanent ever changing nature of things. I will talk about it more on a future video, but I explained it in detail in this blog www.path2yoga.net/2024/06/what-is-vipassana-meditation.html
