    Great video. Are you powering the stomp and the MC3 both with the same 529HC? If so, how do you do that? What cable do you need? Thanks!

    • @DefconClark
      @DefconClark  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I power them both with the 529hc and a daisy chain cable. Mission engineering sells a 2.1 to 2.5 adapter which is needed for the hx stomp. Hopefully, I’ll do a video soon explaining that more in detail.

    Hi, what cable do you use to connect the mc3 to the volume pedal? Is it a regular patch cable? I would greatly appreciate your help.

    Thanks for this overview. I've been considering the MC6 for my Stomp rig but the MC3 would seem to be entirely sufficient for less cost.

    Are you in Toggle mode to do the FS/snap combo? And using the FS for a block bypass? I’ve been trying to set mine up with something similar but using toggle mode for block bypass then makes the block need another press and release before it functions correctly after I’ve changed a snapshot.

    • @DefconClark
      @DefconClark  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s a setting for snapshot recall or discard. One allows you to change snapshots and keep the settings that you’ve made by turning off the block, the other allows you to change snapshot and they’ll load the way they were saved last.

    When you are controlling reverb with the expression and you change to volume, does the value in reverb stays the same as you leave it? ( for example halfway)

    • @DefconClark
      @DefconClark  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, when I change from delay/reverb to volume, the previous setting stays the same and can’t be changed until I press the button on the mc3 again then move the expression pedal again.

    Great video! Where are you plugin the expression pedal in? Can you plug it into the mc3 and that way control the stomp? Thanks!

    • @DefconClark
      @DefconClark  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I use the expression pedal to control various parameters on a block or set of blocks. Instead of using the midi code for the expression pedal on the stomp, I use an empty code and use midi learn on the stomp.

    Could you share your midi settings? What CC are you sending to toggle between expression 1 and 2?

    • @DefconClark
      @DefconClark  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to set up either foot switch 4 or 5 to toggle between the two expression pedals, then use the midi command for that foot switch (cc 52 fs4 or cc 53 fs5) to toggle them via midi

    Finally somone using the MC3 with HX STOMP. Thanks for sharing.
    I was wondering, i know the hx is limited to 3 snapshots but, imagine you need more than 3 snapshots, could you use presets instead ?
    Considering you have now 6 fs thanks to the MC3, could you have 6 differents presets directly accessible under your feet ?

    • @boseki_music
      @boseki_music 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can't change presets instantaneously, so there will be a short interruption of the audio. but yes you can change presets on the stomp via midi. i don't know how many midi ccs the mc3 can send at once. but in general, you can assign a midi cc to any block of your preset and then switch blocks on/off. So you need to do more programming on your midi controller, but this is a workaround to get "more snapshots".

    • @DefconClark
      @DefconClark  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but there is no spillover so there will be a slight audio gap.

      Gearbyceba.com the ones on the mc3 are version 1 toppers that are no longer made. The current ones are magnetic, which will fit the stomp just fine but not the mc3.

    If the MC3 only has Midi Out how are you able to control the Hx stomp, you don´t need a midi in?

    • @DefconClark
      @DefconClark  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, the midi out of the mc3 goes to the midi in of the stomp and controls it that way.

    • @DefconClark

      The jet micro is great for a preprogrammed midi controller. I, however, wanted a bit more controllability, expression port, and bigger footprint.
