  • "This is one of the beautiful agrarian sights we get to enjoy around the Treasure Valley here in Idaho. This farm has grown corn and harvested half of it so far. After the harvest, they rake up all the remaining corn stalks and leaves, known as stover, and make stover bales. Stover, the dried stalks and leaves left after the grain has been harvested, is often baled using traditional equipment. These stover bales are commonly used for livestock feed, bedding, or as a biomass source for energy production. It’s a great example of how nothing goes to waste on a farm, with every part of the crop being put to good use."
