This part of the storyline is SO good - Luke and Noah, Luke and Maddie, Maddie and Henry, Maddie and Noah, even Henry and the Colonel - all the scenes are so compelling to watch. Nicely done, ATWT!
I know some Nuke fans hate Maddie, but I think early Nuke is really enhanced by her presence and Alexandra Chando's performance. The fact that Maddie approaches Luke with compassion, despite pretty much knowing the answer to her question, makes her very sympathetic. Both Luke and Maddie are hurt by this situation, and she seems to get that. Great scenes.
WOAH!!!!! I wasn't expecting her to find out so quick! I thought they were gonna DRAAAAAG this storyline out to the ground. I'm glad though that they made Maddie's character smart instead of a blind stupid girl. Can't wait to see what happens next!!!!!!!

AH. This episode was crazy. I knew after last week that some big stuff was going to happen this week. SO exciting. And can I just say that Alexandra Chando (who plays Maddie) is doing some REALLY excellent acting. But really the whole storyline is so well written all the actors are getting great stuff. Love it.
This episode and JP & Craig were posted within minutes of each other and both totally rock! I'm a little light headed. Who'd think soap writers would get to the point this fast! Awesome episode! Henry rocks. I like the Maddie's role model aspect - the way she's direct in her questions and won't be sidetracked.
Oh wow! I'm so glad that the truth is coming out. Henry is one smart cookie putting 2+2 together and telling Maddie. Here's hoping that Noah won't be a punk and lie about it. I feel so badly for Maddie's character.
can anyone tell me... does all this happen in the same episode? sorry, i've only seen the clips by likevanfan... i've never otherwise seen atwt. the only soap i've seen is "passions," and the conversations that took place in this clip would have taken at least 5 episodes to get through in "passions". is the show always this "fast paced" (by comparison)?
It's funny because I sat down and told myself that I'll allow myself to watch the first five videos. That was 6 hours and 50 vids ago. Wow this stuff really gets addicting!
I agree. At the same time, it's a reminder of how opportunistic and deceiving Noah could be. I mean, we all fall for him because we want the Luke/Noah relationship (much has Luke fell for him against his better judgement). But outward perfection, charm and looks can snowjob people. Ever been in that kind of situation? I have.

I actually liked the after effects better than the coming out itself. Sarah ready to kill JP and JP letting Craig have it straight (pardon the pun). The whole, "Telling Sarah you loved her, telling me you loved me, playing these games with us. Well, now you have to face the consequences!" And Craig not having a thing he can say 'cause it's the truth and he was a lying, gutless little toerag. It's just too bad it took a year in Dublin for him to grow up....'cause they sure were a great couple.
I don't like how this was done. I don't feel like the writers of the show really showed how the Kernel suspected anything was going on between Luke and Noah. They obviously showed his disliking towards him but never really said anything about them being together. It feels like Henry (I believe his name is?) was put in place just to make the Kernels feeling more obvious.
Finally. Something happens. Its actually funny because its around the same time as the big secret in Hollyoaks was revieled. But how does Noah get out of this?

I absolutely love that maddie stopped herself when she started listing gay steteotypes. Most shows just blurt them out like they're a universal truth, but this one made it a point to say that they're nothing but stereotypes. Props.
When henry's word dawned on Maddie she did not seem as shocked as we all thought she would be and I think she took the whole news like a lady,not making a scene with Noah.
OMG! The Colonel let it out - and in episode 54 was he hitting on Henry? Who is gay here! Will Noah be honest or try to hide behind lies about his true self? This is getting exciting!
Poor Maddy. She doesn't deserve it. Straight people get hurt by homophobia too because gay people are pressured to live false lives that end up hurting those they try to form relationships with.
I don't think Maddie was really clueless during all this. I think Maddie knew on some level but she was in denial. She didn't want it to be true. Then Henry confronted her with it and she couldn't deny it anymore. When she rambled to Henry about Noah not being gay she was voicing things that had been in her own mind for months. She was trying to convince herself with the rant not Henry.
Oh. lol. Anyway, from my perspective I think Noah has known he was gay for awhile. I think his dad knew too. Noah doesn't mention much about his past, but there has to be something.
