Great information. Appreciate saludos from Naples
Another great one Chad thanks for the good information. I’m in Jacksonville as well with the rain lately. Things are starting to look nice again. Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing. Always sharing great information.
Thank you. I appreciate the support. Now that we are finally getting some rain.
@michaelnorman5640 im in mandarin thursday to sunday and jax beach monday to wednesday....the rain is a relief, we had some kinda of drought
I just put down a 16-4-8 (Andersons) on my St Augustine grass here in SW Florida (Cape coral) will I be ok??
Yes, long as you’re able to cut it watered and cut
Yes. You will be ok, especially if watered in the next morning. Just be careful with overuse. You will definitely get great results. But overuse can cause thatch down the road.
I’m in the south west Jacksonville area of Florida in clay county. My local nursery schedule says to use 16-0-8 fert for the st Augustine. With the intense heat should I not do it? It’s been raining a little more lately and I also increased my irrigation. It’s just been super hot and sunny. I also had potash added recently about 2 weeks ago.
You could, but if the lawn is growing well and thick, there's no need to use that much nitrogen!! Especially now we are getting more rain it can cause more fungus. Milorganite would be a good option right now.
@@bettercallchadd thanks for the reply! I was actually considering milorganite since it’s slow release and is 6 nitrogen. My lawn is a balanced mix of thatch and light green blades so needs the rain and some nutrition.
Thoughts on the Sta-Green 16-0-10 over Milorganite? I’ve heard some people prefer it
It's a bit higher onthe N, then I would recommend it. It will definitely get good results, but if overused, it can cause thatch over time.
