Pizza Tower: S rank earlytestbuild (Demo 0)

- after looking around for a bit, I stumbled upon reshares of older Pizza Tower demos that we no longer have access to, so I'll be S-ranking those as well.
This one is earlytestbuild, also known as Demo 0. It's the earliest playable version avaible and as told in the intro, it was only a test to show how the game would work and not much more, hence the barebones content, stock sound effects and borrowed wario land sound effects.
Also the controls in it are complete garbage compared to what they are now so I apologize for being goofy in the level.

@@ponikoTV yes this is the earliest build of the game which is why most mechanics werent even implimented in this demo and its also why most of the music is different

he was even stronger in demo 3
according to some unused transformations and sound effects that are in this build, it feels like it was gonna be LIKE a wario land spiritual successor

I think the final has more wario land 4 in its dna, while these early demos have more wario land 1-3 in em.

I don't know why, but 5:45 was pretty funny. Just the small utter urge of panic with the simple wario 3 fire music just to end with a sound effect that hits so hard
even if this was the first build, it's neat seeing how all the final stuff was here from the beginning, especially lap 2
all though lap 2 here kinda sucked ass.....

Someone archived this demo in a page (as well as many other Pizza Tower builds)
oh don't worry, many demos of this game were thankfully archived and saved

the part where peppino recoils after landing from a tall height is satisfying
I love the Metroid fusion sound effects X3 Not only inspiration from wario land, but also Metroid Fusion, which is ironically, a heavily modified version of wario land!
This demo would probably taste like a piece of popcorn that fell under the couch and accumulated dust for 10 days, but i still find it very fun.

i like to think that peppino in earlier demos was weak and as more time passed the more he trained to be as powerful as he is in the final game
this doesn't feel real but yet it is and i love it
no wonder the walk cycle on the armor transformation has so many frames; its so it can still look good when played slowly for the inertia!
This makes it really opionated which pizza tower level is the oldest
Is it john gutter,because of the tileset?
Is it pizzascape,because of the knight transformation?
Is it ancient cheese,because of the music?
All of them used to be the same level. In demos 1 and 2, it was a level called Ancient which played pizzascape's theme and had the john gutter tileset

that’s actually possible now thanks to the mod create your own pizza, since the demo is so old the files for this level are completely gone.
There’s a lot of changes from even the first public demo lol. Its Pizza Time! sounds very empty

Damn, one of peppino's old movesets are somewhat interesting. Imagine if you could jump higher by pressing Up + Jump, this is like Noise's instant superjump moveset but higher jump for Peppino
i'll never get over the fact i discovered the game on the steam release 😔😔😔
I adore frogs theme playing wheen using the knight. Of course,its obvious they couldnt keep it in but i hope someone makes a mod that adds this back(and maybe the bomb transformation music,too!)

No, it was Funiculi Funiculà (it's used in cut levels of this demo)... Well, I'm not 100% sure about it

its either funiculi funicula or its pizza time
its unknown when funiculi funicula was commissioned
but its pizza time was the song that convinced mcpig to hire sauceman to make music for the game and clascyjitto became a composer for the game after making remixes of sauceman’s songs

I actually kinda prefer some of the sound effects here, and the small bounce after a large fall is pretty satisfying, for one reason or another.
