That cabinet was beautiful. Whoever got it is one lucky person. I can tell you were surprised and disappointed no one took those chairs. I would be also. They’re really pretty. I think the red color may have been a factor for them as you usually don’t see much red in dining chairs and dining rooms. I’m not surprised it was mostly older people who came. A lot of millennials are into the IKEA and Mid Century modern stuff. Most are not into collecting China. That thrift store had some nice pieces. Loved the cut glass and ink set. I really liked the green and pink serving trays. I don’t think I’ve ever seen pink dishes either,. I would have grabbed those! 😍 There’s a ton of pink depression glass out there so I don’t think the price will go up very soon. I saw a video of a guy who buys from thrift stores and sells online who made a video talking about how people have yell at him when he walks past all the pink depression glass. He has trouble selling it and showed how others online do also, I don’t smoke but I would love that smoke stand. That was some cute garden furniture. $24 for a bag of marbles????? 😧🤣😂Can’t wait to see part 2 of the garage sale next week! 😀❤🌹
What beautiful antique stores you visited. Like you, I wanted everything you featured! When Harry Met Sally is one of my all-time favorite movies, and I love that wagon wheel scene! I think you are the only person I know who would redo a piece of furniture to sell it in their garage sale, and the cabinet turned out so beautifully! I would have had a hard time selling it, and how lucky for the person who bought it! Good Luck in your second garage sale!
The antique store was filled with a treasure trove of goodies, I am sure some items were hard to walk away from! Better luck for your next garage sale, I am sure if an antique dealer/collector will scoop up your items. I am fortunate not to live anywhere near that antique store, a real candy store for adults ❤️🤩❤️
How excited was I to see this video! I have been following you for quite sometime now and I am one of 16 people that are vendors at Lakeshore Antiques and you did a lovely job touring our store! May I share your video Kim
I love that area as well. It’s was on my bucket list to see Niagara Falls since I was a child. Just an FYI when speaking of Canada’s history, and I say this most respectfully. We have a long rich history that goes way back before colonialism. My great grandfather was from England and married an indigenous woman. I appreciate and respect both cultures. Thanks
The pink dishes I loved. Some real treasures, I bet it was hard for you not to buy and also selling some of your items.I would love some of the things at the antique shop, but so expensive. We are vintage, not antique yet ……xxxxx🐝🐝🐝🐝
Such lovely things. Good thing the store and your sale is so far away. I would have bought too much. (I think the word you were looking for was chenille.)
Hi Lyndsey! Finally getting back to viewing my favorite uTube shows including yours! I just love Niagara on the lake! I’m so happy about your move to France! I loved the chairs you had up for sale. I’m in Michigan and wished I had to time to head over to Canada to your sale and the antique shop! Best regards…Carole ❤❤
In regards to the Staffordshire dogs, I have 10 so far, but amazingly enough found a cat in a thrift store a few days ago. It was marked at $24.00, but it was half off day. So I snatched that beauty for $12 !!! Apparently it had been sitting at that shop for over one month. I am still so thrilled with that find. I know you'll appreciate that. 😊😺😊😺
I picked up a set last year when I was back in the Uk I am saving them for my French house ❤️ I saw the most amazing collection in an antique store, cats and all different dogs (ridiculously overpriced but beautiful)
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 ...that collection sounds glorious. And yes, some are so insanely overpriced. A few years ago I had great luck finding them at estate sales. But not so much anymore. They are elusive little beauties.
Its so surprising how similar we are in what we do and like. I had a garage sale yesterday as well. It was slow with mostly older people as well, I was really quite surprised. I wasn't successful in selling antiques or even electric tools. My biggest success was vinyl purchased by a music lover. Its rather sad to see all of these lovely antiques in shops slowly disappear. I am wondering how I will show my collections in a more modern house that I will be moving to, rather concerning.
It was interesting to watch people at the garage sale, I think the elderly come out to entertain themselves 😉 younger people looking for kids stuff or clothing and women like me who know what they want and call there friends to see if they need anything. I am very selective what I buy theses days but put me in an antique store and I can hardly control myself ❤️thanks so much for watching and commenting
Lyndsey… the tour of Niagara by the Lake was awesome. I know here as well garage sales aren’t that busy and people just want to bargain SO low it’s not worth selling. I did email you regarding the children books but have not received a reply yet. Maybe you declded to keep them or give them to your family. If they are still available let me know please. Take care and good luck with part 2 of garage sale. Wish I could make it. Hugs 🤗 ❤

Oh I only meant building wise and meant no disrespect, when I compare to my home town we had a castle that was built in 1056, I have seen many indigenous recreations throughout Canada and honestly only compared to bricks and mortar. 😐

I am always amazed at what people will buy. I had an old trunk with really old records in that saw the most action 😊
@@lynseysrecycledbliss1111 Not surprised the old records went fast. Vinyl is big. I’m glad the sale was a success. 🙂
Loved your video thank you❤
You are so welcome! 🤗
I loved your commentary today regarding vintage and antiques. Lovely things to look at. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it 😘

This is the best place for antiques and the variety and prices are great. 👍
A quality piece, regardless of price is timeless.
You are absolutely correct ❤️
Oh I wished I lived there, those chairs would be in my home!!
They are so comfortable I used them in my dining room for ages
Really enjoyed our walk together
Thank you
Thank you for sharing all the beautiful things in this antique store! Loved it all and hope to see it in person one day when we head to Canada!
I hope so too! ❤️
It’s always fun walking through a store with you. I hope you make lots of money from your garage sale. Your styled cabinet is beautiful. ❤
I did ok , I always find they are more trouble than they are worth 🥴

The ink well set is pretty. What a great store. Well done on your yardsale! They are a lot of work.
I only do garage sales in the hope of selling to people who would appreciate my treasures 😉

Yes that’s the word 😂 I love this blankets
Would love to have an update on when you're next going to France!
Hope to have one really soon, unfortunately plans had to change 😔but I promise I’m waiting till we have firm plans in place
