flightdeck2sim Hi many thanks to you and Brian for the replies. I already use TopCat for load sheets etc. I was just wondering cos it looks like a really good and helpful app. Hope you both have a good Christmas.
Would you do a video on how you handle being cleared for an immediate rolling departure and a very late landing clearances, or do procedures change much?
Hi Dublin Aviation, There is no change to the procedure in both cases It's common to get landing clearances very late at certain airports, we're always poised to fly the missed approach. With immediate departure we would still complete the normal flow and before take off checklist which would easily be completed before the pointy end is going down the runway! All the best! FD2S
Brilliant guide as ever always learn something, why is it you don't switch off the electric hydraulic driven pumps when at at the gate? And also why do you keep the fuel pumps on?
Hi Matthew. There is simply no need to turn off the ELEC HYD Pumps or Fuel Pumps during a turnaround, you would only turn them back on again in 10 minutes! FD2S
flightdeck2sim thanks for clearing that up, seems logical enough, I just have one mechanical question on the hydraulics system, from my research the hydraulic reservoirs are pressurised from the pneumatic manifold, and from my research, the reason why the reservoirs are pressurised is to allow a positive flow of fluid to get to the pumps, I was just curious would the system still work if the reservoir in that system wasn't being pressurised properly? Hope I worded that right 😂
Yes the pneumatic system supplies bleed air to both hydraulic reservoirs to ensure a positive supply of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic pumps. Without asking an engineer I cannot exactly tell you what would happen if there was an issue with pressurising the reservoir. There are some check valves that prevent contamination of the bleed air system with hydraulic fluid. Sorry I can't help you more! FD2S
Yet another superb informative video!! I always look forward to the message popping up, telling me you have just posted another video. I just hope you keep finding the time to make more :-) I see from your comment on type rating and from your home drome, you must be J2 :-) Have a good Christmas. I can't wait to see what you bring us in 2018!! Nigel
Glad you enjoyed it 23 Savage 1. Always on when maneuvering on the ground day or night 2. The Wing Light is used during the walkaround at night. We also use it to check for icing on the wing in flight during night operations. FD2S
For some reason i didn't get a notification that you replied.. .thanks though! Reason i asked about the wing lights is because i sometimes see them on during takeoff and landing... illuminating the body of the aircraft... i mean, it looks nice :D
Hi! Great tutorial as always but I'm curious about one thing. In 29:26 you said the fmc warning referred to the arrival into Dublin. Isn't it about D2.3 IWW point just after departure from Gatwick? It says on the chart that the speed restriction is 220kts so shouldn't it be 220B in the fmc and hence the warning?
Very well observed. So used to spurious warning caused by restrictions on STAR's I missed this, putting 220B would've also fixed the issue. Nice one! FD2S
Hi, very useful tutorial thank you very very much for that, I have a question about the IRS switches. Why didn't you switch IRS to OFF position for re-aligning the IRS? When I was flying in the cockpit as a guest, the pilot switched it to OFF than to NAV position for the re-alingment , even it was a turnaround flight and I think it was 3rd flight of the day.
Hi Yalcin It use to be our procedure some years ago but there is no need during a turnaround, occasionally if the IRS's drift you can do a fast realignment which takes 30 seconds. FD2S
I just flew from JFK to OSL on a Dreamliner and the F.O (or maybe pilot) sounded EXACTLY like you..I was tempted to ask after we landed if you were part of our crew 0.0
flightdeck2sim Aw man, the idea you might've been up front, put me at ease lol I always find your videos highly informative and as a frequent passenger, I often find myself thinking of what the crew might be doing up front as we sit on the tarmac, or when some happens like flaps extending during landing etc. Your tuts completely eliminate any uncertainty of the normal aircraft behavior during flight!
Haha! I'm sure your crew were just as proficient! These tutorials are a great platform for a serious simmer but also a very good insight for the curious passenger! I can apply our SOP's precisely with very little deviation. FD2S
I ve enjoyed all of your vids so far..and would like if you could make a vid about the departure briefing...also one question because i ve seen that some airlines durind the pushback turn off the Hydraulics A off ..and the B system on..Why..?? Regards from Mexico..
Hi azizc64 It's a more procedure passed down from the classic 737s. On the -800 it makes no difference and the SOP is more operator specific. During the initial startup we select all hydraulic system on and they stay on, this helps identify any leaks during the walkaround. Prior to pushback a bypass pin is installed to the nosewheel, this isolates the hydraulic system to the nosewheel steering and prevents inadvertent movement of the nosewheel. Some SOP's (ours used to) instruct to turn off both all SYS A pumps prior to push and start, this adds an additional safety net from unintentional nosewheel movement during pushback. I hope this helps answer your query! FD2S
Hi FD2S. Another brilliant video - always such a pleasure to just listen to even though I might have already watched this vid. Such a wonderful journey through your real time spent in the cockpit. Two questions if this is not too old to ask: I noted in your FMC programming vid you use “UPPER” in lieu of “UNIFORM” for “U”. Is this new the new way to pronounce the “U” in the phonetic alphabet for piloting please mate? And the second question is: Do you have purchased individual add-ons for all the airports you use in your vids or is there a bulk airport add-on that gives you all the nicer scenic airports for in Europe please? I’m in Australia so have not looked a lot into all the airports in Europe as there are millions so am just wondering if there’s a simple way or do I have to do it the “hard way” and buy them as individual add ons. Your vids are so enjoyable to watch because you’re either taking off from lovely airports, landing in lovely scenic airports OR BOTH 😎
Sorry for the late reply! Working through 100's of queries! UNIFORM still represents U but the U in this context is short for UPPER as it's the UPPER airway! All my addons are individually purchased, you might find the occasional promotion/bulk purchase available! Good luck! FD2S
Once again an amazing video mate. Thanks to bring realistic procedure to my sim. Just have a small question, what are you using for the flight plan ? I'm personnaly using simbrief but doesn't look like yours. Thanks a lot for your hard work and continue.
Hi carlier, you're most welcome. This was from a real world OFP but you will be pleased to know simbrief have a way of using the identical format (LIDO) and is generated in the exact same way as the real world OFP. FD2S
Very high quality video as always! One quick question, does your company operate HUDs in your flights? If yes, can you make a video on HUD on the NGX? Love your vids!
Hi Craig, glad you enjoyed it! By placing the start switches in continuous we're providing a continuous of source of ignition to the selected igniter. In critical phases of flight (T/O and Landing) abd in icing conditions we ensure a continuous source of ignition as it reduces the chance of a flame-out. Even with the start switches off both igniters will automatically activate when there is a large decrease in N2 or if it falls below 57% but having it in continuous ensures ignition is always available. A jet engine is essentially a massive BBQ, once it's going you don't need ignition but if it blows out you need to provide a source of ignition (start switches) to gas (JET - A1) and it will relight! (hopefully....) FD2S
How long on average does it take from when you first start commercial pilot training to actually sit in the copilot seat for the first take off. Excluding the basic training of starting from scratch meaning the private pilot training, Cessna's etc background? I am thinking at least 2 years. Any info on this? Thanks!
Hi! I absolutely love your tutorials and have learnt so much from them, thank you! I have a question for you though. As a flight sim pilot I base myself out of Newcastle (EGNT) but when programming the fmc no sids or stars are listed? I was wondering if you know whether this is to do with my add on scenery (UK2000) or if there is a way to fix this and if so, how? Also just out of complete interest. If I was ever to be a commercial pilot, could I do so if I am hard of hearing? Thanks in advance and keep up the hard work. Happy new year.
Hi Thomas, thanks! Newcastle has no STAR's in real life, there is a "GIRLI" SID for both runway 07/25. It might be that your FMC AIRAC needs updating, You can update your AIRAC here. www.navigraph.com/FmsData.aspx FD2S
Well... In p3d , I can do a single engine taxi without any trouble. ( Gross weight around 131000 lbs/ Thrust around 36% and very few rudder to compensate the dead engine)
I gave it a try because I wanted to show you how Single Engine Taxi procedures are applied, I could barely keep it in a straight line. It wasn't terrifically realistic! I guess they fixed the issue with P3d which I'm yet to try! FD2S
Great video, can you tell me please what program did you use for the calculation of the take off performances? Keep making great video Merry chrismas and happy new year.
Hi Assad, It's the Boeing OPT App. You can download the App on the App Store but I think it's unusable unless you pay for some sort of subscription. Whether that can be done personally or you need to be an airline I have no idea! I've been told TOPCAT is pretty similar if you want to try that! FD2S
Hi there! Thanks! This video was from my recently upgraded ChillBlast PC which has these bits.... • Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Processor/8MB L3 Cache • Chillblast 120 CPU Water Cooler • Asus PRIME Z270-P Motherboard • 32GB DDR4 2400MHz • 500GB Samsung 960 EVO M.2 SSD • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Graphics Card You'll see a marked improvement in performance compared to my older tutorials. They were filmed on a Dell XPS Laptop (9550) Intel Core i7 2.6 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce 750m. The performance was ok but would struggle in areas of complex scenery/airports FD2S
Kinda look like you are using my TK Mod for the Zibo, if so be, cool.. Thank you for doing these videos, excellent quality.. I might have forgot to check, but have you ever done a video on cold and dark with cockpit preperation to taxi the real way? Also, I am following and viewing all your videos, any chance I get email you some few questions I take during? It woul really help me learn ;)
Hi Tom, Although I'm yet to make a dedicated cold and dark tutorial I do have some setups in my full flight tutorial playlist, please refer to Part 1 of my other Full Flight Tutorials for guidance on how to setup using the NGX and Part 2 and 3 for the full flight th-cam.com/play/PL64iIth-XWdtRkPNNGcnJU-b5lqvs1Z_O.html These tutorials will be updated (my video editing has improved significantly along with my delivery) FD2S
flightdeck2sim Very cool, hope you do zibo then.. Reson for asking is that I have seen so many different approaches to do the cockpit preperation. Questions like how are the buttons and levers setup as default, what switches are normally on off etc. I know not all system test are simulated, but those present would be cool to get an short explaination.. We can always see cockpit videos, but most of them do not cover a cold and dark situation.. I will watch your video and try to pick up things.. Hope you do a video on it though, just to supplement the other.. Most aiplanes are cold and dark on first flight right? I notice that you tend to have all hydraulic switches on before start, things like that are cool to know more about.
Thank you soo much for this video, I appreciate it. I was wondering something too I saw for some videos from your company. Do you just use TO when you have more than 15kt crosswind from take off or will you still derate?
You're welcome ItsRageYT, I have a very long list of requested videos and yours was next! If the crosswind exceeds 10kts we do not take a assumed temperature reduction. We can still reduce the de-rate to 24k or 22k. FD2S
Your videos are always perfect! I have a question: what is the difference between lvl change and speed? I have another question because I want to know if my computer is ready for PMDG. I have an HP elitebook G1 with an Intel Core i5 4300U @ 1.90GHz processor. I have 16 gb RAM and WIN 10 PRO. I have Intel HD family graphics, do you know if my computer is ready for PMDG?
Hi Ruben. LVL CHG is a pitch mode where the aircraft pitches for a specific speed in Climb or Descent. I'm afraid you're asking the wrong person when it comes to PC performance, I really don't know much about them. I just plug in and play! If you look at my earlier tutorial I used a Dell XPS Laptop (9550) Intel Core i7 2.6 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce 750m. The performance was ok but would struggle in areas of complex scenery/airports Seeing people enjoyed my videos I recently upgraded to a new ChillBlast PC which has these bits.... • Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Processor/8MB L3 Cache • Chillblast 120 CPU Water Cooler • Asus PRIME Z270-P Motherboard • 32GB DDR4 2400MHz • 500GB Samsung 960 EVO M.2 SSD • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Graphics Card My latest tutorials were filmed on the new PC, you'll see a marked improvement in performance! FD2S
What is the spec of your PC? The fps is just amazing. I am about to upgrade my PC so I would like to get some references. If you see this message or you are a simmer watching this, please kindly leave your spec and your fps here. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi Akria This video was from my recently upgraded ChillBlast PC which has these bits.... • Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Processor/8MB L3 Cache • Chillblast 120 CPU Water Cooler • Asus PRIME Z270-P Motherboard • 32GB DDR4 2400MHz • 500GB Samsung 960 EVO M.2 SSD • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Graphics Card You'll see a marked improvement in performance compared to my newer tutorials. flightdeck2sim Very late reply but I find the tutorial still helpful, I believe he is referring to the part on SimBrief where it shows reserves, TOC winds and etc. i’m having trouble finding the same info as well.
Hi your averagepilot It's the Boeing OPT App which I believe is inaccessible unless you pay for some sort of subscription. Whether that can be done personally or you need to be an airline I have no idea! I've been told TOPCAT is pretty similar if you want to try that! FD2S
I think online, I’d never heard of it until someone compared it the the OPT App in one of my tutorials and the performance calculation was close to the real thing
TOC Wind allows VNAV to climb as efficiently as possible. We put the AVG Wind at the first WPT after TOC to allow for an accurate ETA and fuel on arrival. FD2S
Hi Rickard, Yes the Flight Plan gives us the expected SID/STAR so we use that for planning and setting up the FMC, it can of course change at any point based on several factors, you might even get a change at the holding point prior to departure! FD2S
Hi Francesco, We print all of the OFP's for the day in the crew room and we carry them onboard, we put the full routing information in manually every sector. FD2S
Hi Captain 737 They were from a real world OFP but you will be pleased to know simbrief (www.simbrief.com/) use the identical format (LIDO) and is generated in the exact same way as the real world OFP. FD2S
Hi Joe, As much as I love too I don't own and cannot share the checklist we use, I'm just completing the flows and completing the checklist in my tutorials. Sorry for that, thanks for your understanding. FD2S
As a PPL with several hundred hours fixed and a near complete PPL gyrocopter licence. At 52 years old (Damn it) would it even be worth going commercial? or would it be unlikely that after completing ATPL I'd be able to get a job ...I have been offered 1st officer on a Hawker biz jet if i spend the cash on commercial and sim training by a friend (captain) but not sure i could earn what i currently earn as a Radio Presenter...Whats your thoughts? I may just remain a Sim Captain on my PMDG but would love to take a leap but i fear i've left it too late
Hi mdaydj and welcome! It's hard to say, I've not personally known anyone that age starting there commercial license. If you have a job at the end it would sure be tempting! It's a lot of work and dedication and I was fortunate not to have to worry about family/kids etc at the time and I had willing parents prepared to secure a loan against their house which took me 5 years to pay off with very little disposable income. Everyone's circumstances are different and only you will know if you can commit the time and effort required, that's the best advice i can give!! Good Luck nonetheless! FD2S
Hi how do you jump around to different panels of the aircraft so quick, I'm using a laptop and I have to keep pressing the s key to switch panels thanks
I hear institute for apprentices are doing a fo program. Is that a cheaper way of becoming a first officer? Also could i go into pilot training and not know anything and still become a pilot by the end of it?
Best thing is to research, there are now a few sponsored cadet programs ran by airlines. They will explain what background knowledge you'll need, if you are still at school concentrate on your studies for now! FD2S
@@flightdeck2sim ok thanks but i have got another question: so i am 13 and in year 8, top set for maths top set for english and top set in science. I fly the pmdg 737 800 and i know all about it, what every button does, i know how to program the fmc i know how to land smoothly, i know how to add additional waypoints, i can fly into madeira funchal with no problems and i can fix any issues. I know how aircrafts generate lift and much more. Will all of this get me into pilot training or do i need to know more to get accepted into training? Also with all this, am i on the right track to becoming a first officer Thanks Sam head
I have a question. Where do you get all of your SIDs from? I have Navigraph but the SIDs don't look like the ones you have. Are you using your company's SIDs? Or is there somewhere else where we can find them?
Hi there, It might be that you need to update your FMC AIRAC, it's updated every 28 days and SID/STAR designator/names can change. You can update your AIRAC here. www.navigraph.com/FmsData.aspx FD2S
flightdeck2sim I have the latest update, but the charts still don't look the same. I'm probably messing something up or not looking in the right place. Anyways, thanks for taking the time to reply!
Hi Samuel, During a Turnaround the fuel pumps and elec HYP pumps are simply left on as you would only turn them back on again in 5 minutes for the next sector! FD2S
Below FL100 and in the TMA there is more traffic, we might even be operating in airspace shared with VFR traffic which doesn’t have a transponder so increasing visibility is important. Above 10,000ft you are going to be very unlikely to come across uncontrolled traffic. With ATC and TCAS the chance of a collision is extremely unlikely anyway. FD2S
A bit of both really. It's nice after a long week at work to get away from the flight deck for a bit! I work mostly is the sim but when they let me out to go flying I enjoy it a lot more than I used to when I was just a line pilot. FD2S
Hi Mattia, If the temperature is below 5C we would usually leave it on to provide warm air for the cabin, also if above 25C we would use it to provide cool air. Additionally Air Bridges can also provide a source of external conditioned air for the cabin. FD2S
Hi Bartosz, from a very young age! I grew up using FS2002/2004 religiously. I flew a glider solo on my 16th birthday and just made some big commitments after finishing school. I worked at a supermarket for three years to save as much as I could, completed my PPL and built up some hours and then took out a big loan. After leaving OAA with a Frozen ATPL I was very lucky to get a job quickly and I've now been flying the 737 for 6 years! FD2S
flightdeck2sim heyyy, ah ok, I was listening to ATC on my scanner thing and I heard a pilot talking to EGSS tower who sounded just like you. Never mind, haha Happy landings!
Here's a solution to improve single engine taxi on fsx : Install FSUIPC if you do not already have it (www.schiratti.com) . Go to this folder in your FS directory: /Modules/FSUIPC Documents/Example LUA Plugins.zip Copy “DynamicFriction.lua” from that zip file and put it in your FS/Modules folder. . Open your FSUIPC4.ini file with Notepad. . Add these lines: . [Auto] .1 = LUA DynamicFriction
Hi Flightdeck2sim, you tutorials are one of the best on your tube.thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

Nice tutorial. So I guess nothing has changed about sops described in the video in these 6 years. Safe as always. Very accurate.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it 👍🏻

Absolutely brilliant. I learn more with you than in the TR course :))))
Hi Antonio A.
Thanks a lot and good luck with your TR!
It goes without saying make sure you consult your approved training material/official guidance. These videos are more for reference but are NOT a substitute or replacement , more in an insight in how to apply a particular set of SOP's

FD2S
Thanks a lot, again a very nice tutorial.
Would you do a video on how you handle being cleared for an immediate rolling departure and a very late landing clearances, or do procedures change much?
Hi Dublin Aviation,
There is no change to the procedure in both cases It's common to get landing clearances very late at certain airports, we're always poised to fly the missed approach. With immediate departure we would still complete the normal flow and before take off checklist which would easily be completed before the pointy end is going down the runway!

Perfect as always! 2 quick questions
1: Is it okay to use runway turnoffs while taxiing at nighttime
2: Is the wing light used during night time?
Glad you enjoyed it 23 Savage
1. Always on when maneuvering on the ground day or night
2. The Wing Light is used during the walkaround at night. We also use it to check for icing on the wing in flight during night operations.
FD2S
In the US wing lights are used for takeoff and approach. Increased visibility.
Nice one!
FD2S
Cant wait to buy a copy of it! been putting it off for a while haha
I really enjoying your video's :) can u please share your ezdok profile? I never get to manage the correct settings.
Hi Yalcin
It use to be our procedure some years ago but there is no need during a turnaround, occasionally if the IRS's drift you can do a fast realignment which takes 30 seconds.
FD2S
I just flew from JFK to OSL on a Dreamliner and the F.O (or maybe pilot) sounded EXACTLY like you..I was tempted to ask after we landed if you were part of our crew 0.0
I'm afraid that wasn't me Bm Schaumburg! I'm only rated on 737-300 to 737 Max
FD2S
flightdeck2sim
Aw man, the idea you might've been up front, put me at ease lol
I always find your videos highly informative and as a frequent passenger, I often find myself thinking of what the crew might be doing up front as we sit on the tarmac, or when some happens like flaps extending during landing etc.
FD2S
flightdeck2sim
Well I highly appreciate the hard work you put in to these! Hopefully others do too
I ve enjoyed all of your vids so far..and would like if you could make a vid about the departure briefing...also one question because i ve seen that some airlines durind the pushback turn off the Hydraulics A off ..and the B system on..Why..?? Regards from Mexico..
Hi azizc64
It's a more procedure passed down from the classic 737s.
FD2S
Yes sure...thnxx a lot happy Holidays...!!

Very high quality video as always! One quick question, does your company operate HUDs in your flights? If yes, can you make a video on HUD on the NGX? Love your vids!
Thanks!
We don't have HUD fitted to our fleet.
FD2S
Nice and interesting as usual- but what is wrong with the runway lighting?
Thanks a lot! Limitation with FSX I guess?
FD2S
5:47 Radio waves, not x rays😊
Fantastic, thanks! Out of interest, why do the starters go to 'Continuous'? Does that mean if the engine stops, it'll try restart?
(hopefully....)
FD2S
flightdeck2sim incredible. Thanks for that. Very interesting. Thanks for your efforts.
It might be that your FMC AIRAC needs updating,
You can update your AIRAC here.

flightdeck2sim thank you very much bud. 😊
Hi Assad,
It's the Boeing OPT App. You can download the App on the App Store but I think it's unusable unless you pay for some sort of subscription. Whether that can be done personally or you need to be an airline I have no idea! I've been told TOPCAT is pretty similar if you want to try that!

Hi Tom,
Although I'm yet to make a dedicated cold and dark tutorial I do have some setups in my full flight tutorial playlist, please refer to Part 1 of my other Full Flight Tutorials for guidance on how to setup using the NGX and Part 2 and 3 for the full flight
th-cam.com/play/PL64iIth-XWdtRkPNNGcnJU-b5lqvs1Z_O.html
These tutorials will be updated (my video editing has improved significantly along with my delivery)
FD2S
flightdeck2sim Very cool, hope you do zibo then..
Awesome info!
FD2S
Excellent and etailed

If you look at my earlier tutorial I used a Dell XPS Laptop (9550)

Hi your averagepilot

I think online, I’d never heard of it until someone compared it the the OPT App in one of my tutorials and the performance calculation was close to the real thing
Another question: Why do you use TOC wind instead of AVG wind? Thanks :-)
TOC Wind allows VNAV to climb as efficiently as possible. We put the AVG Wind at the first WPT after TOC to allow for an accurate ETA and fuel on arrival.

How can you put in the SID in the fmc if you havent already gotten clearence? Do you know what sid to use even before clearance?
Hi Rickard,
Yes the Flight Plan gives us the expected SID/STAR so we use that for planning and setting up the FMC, it can of course change at any point based on several factors, you might even get a change at the holding point prior to departure!
FD2S
flightdeck2sim oh okay! Thanks for the response!!!
Do you already have the route to put in the fmc or the marshaller gives it to you with the loadsheet?
Hi Francesco,
We print all of the OFP's for the day in the crew room and we carry them onboard, we put the full routing information in manually every sector.
FD2S
I really wonder that where r u getting the flightplan? any program or website? if it's possible could u please give here a link?

I have a question. Where do you get all of your SIDs from? I have Navigraph but the SIDs don't look like the ones you have. Are you using your company's SIDs? Or is there somewhere else where we can find them?

It might be that you need to update your FMC AIRAC, it's updated every 28 days and SID/STAR designator/names can change.
You can update your AIRAC here.

hello only a question, why didin t you switch off fuel pumps and elec. hyd . pumps ?
Hi Samuel,
During a Turnaround the fuel pumps and elec HYP pumps are simply left on as you would only turn them back on again in 5 minutes for the next sector!

Hi cptn ! What softwares do you use at the end to calculate the v speed and the MFRA ?
Hi there!
It's the Boeing OPT App off of my work EFB which isn’t available for general use I'm afraid,
FD2S
flightdeck2sim dam ok 😂
Quick question; why switch LDG lights off after passing FL100?
Below FL100 and in the TMA there is more traffic, we might even be operating in airspace shared with VFR traffic which doesn’t have a transponder so increasing visibility is important.
Above 10,000ft you are going to be very unlikely to come across uncontrolled traffic. With ATC and TCAS the chance of a collision is extremely unlikely anyway.

A bit of both really. It's nice after a long week at work to get away from the flight deck for a bit! I work mostly is the sim but when they let me out to go flying I enjoy it a lot more than I used to when I was just a line pilot.
FD2S
Hi! Just a quick question: once at the gate if you shut down APU for Ground power, How do you keep passengers warm in Winter? Thank you.
Hi Mattia,
If the temperature is below 5C we would usually leave it on to provide warm air for the cabin, also if above 25C we would use it to provide cool air. Additionally Air Bridges can also provide a source of external conditioned air for the cabin.
FD2S
When you started dreaming of being a pilot?
Hi Bartosz, from a very young age!
I grew up using FS2002/2004 religiously. I flew a glider solo on my 16th birthday and just made some big commitments after finishing school. I worked at a supermarket for three years to save as much as I could, completed my PPL and built up some hours and then took out a big loan. After leaving OAA with a Frozen ATPL I was very lucky to get a job quickly and I've now been flying the 737 for 6 years!

Here's a solution to improve single engine taxi on fsx :
Install FSUIPC if you do not already have it (www.schiratti.com)
. Go to this folder in your FS directory: /Modules/FSUIPC Documents/Example LUA Plugins.zip Copy “DynamicFriction.lua” from that zip file and put it in your FS/Modules folder.
. Open your FSUIPC4.ini file with Notepad.
. Add these lines:
. [Auto]
