It definitely provides more improvement when accelerating up through the gears under load. Best to do the rubber trans mount too but it's a little more work.
Thanks for the video on this. Been thinking of getting this tranny mount along with the rear diff mount, rear subframe brace, and X-Clear driveshaft tunnel brace. Do you plan to do any of these other braces?
Next on the list is the 034 street density trans mount, which is quite a bit more work, and after that will consider the others you mentioned. Should make quite a difference once all is said and done. Thanks for watching 😎
Oh man, I just got an ecu and tcu tune (apr) and I hate the rough downshifts when I am coming to a stop. Going to get this! Great vid, new sub. BTW do you have a 987 cayman and an rs5 sportback?! Because that's my exact lineup!
HI! Thanks for watching, and for the sub 👍 Sounds like you have great taste in cars! I had a 987 Cayman S that I built into a dedicated track car. Ran it for a couple seasons but decided to sell it since the track near me shut down, and I didnt have a trailer to take it 3hrs to the next nearest track. To this day I still regret selling it, such a fun car! Definitely get that mount insert, fantastic bang for the buck. I'm going to do the Street Density mount from 034 next as they really compliment each other, and should smooth things out even further. Install on that is quite a bit more involved. Enjoy your RS5 and Cayman, and happy modding!
Yeah i definitely should get this done. That 3 -> 2 -> 1 downshift jolt is terrible.
