Nice job fixing up Kanani. She looks so cute! I laughed when you said you ironed her underwear but I totally get it. Hand washing makes everything dry wrinkly. I love Kanani’s dress and super long hair. 😃

American girl dolls are definitely my new obsession rn, and i had a few as a kid so it’s awesome being able to do makeover videos on them since i’m an adult now. It’s a full circle tbh bc i used to watch videos like this as a kid, and to be able to make one that i knew i’d enjoy watching as a kid makes me so happy. I STILL love watching american girl doll videos. expect more in the near future!
She looks great! Kanani is such a beautiful doll! And the newer ones do have metal, but in my experience it's not instead of the plastic cups. It's instead of knots in the elastic. Anyway, you did a great job with her and that ridiculous box the seller shipped her in cracked me up.

@@mckenziemitchelloats I tried re-curling her hair too without hot water and it didn't hold for me at all. Like you, I was so scared of doing any more aggressive treatments to it... but I ended up hot water dunking her curls and it worked out well with no damage! I heated up water in the kettle and let it cool down for at least 5 minutes in a big bowl. I dunked the curls in for about 5 seconds at a time and rinsed with cold water. Totally recommend trying it out if you're feeling up to it :)
that sounds like a great idea! i recently fixed up a marie grace and she had braids in her hair, and it caused the weird pattern in her hair when i took it down. i went crazy and flat ironed her hair. IT WORKED! i was so happy
loved this ❤️ there are lots of videos online about restoration of ag dolls too if you need more help and stuff like that. you scored on kanani ☺️ would you ever consider getting a dollhouse or making one and also buying furniture? also like getting more clothes for them too? i love ag dolls and watching stuff like this because sadly i can't get one atm because shipping to the philippines is expensive af 😭 but maybe one day once i'm back in the united states ❤
