Hi Nature thank you for the video. I have a Question its better 2 Fast weapons for mele Hunter or a Fast Main hand and a Slow Offhand for example: Vanquishers Sword Main hand and Legionnaires Sword Offhand, bcs the rune the Off Hand makes 50% more dmg its better to have a BIG DMG weapon, maybe you can help me understand.
slower weapons are technically better at the moment, flanking strike and carve both are based off your base dmg output, so slower better, with that being said it isn't everything so a fast wpn but that does much more dps could be viable too.
I'm leaning towards getting the Thermplug axe and going 2hand melee. This would allow me to run trap launcher in rotation too. The instant hits from raptorstrike and windfury are coming out bigger with 2hand than those 2 1hands for me right now.

Very curious of this myself, trap launcher seems like a must for pvp. I wonder what the dps difference is for 2hander vs dual wield /w rune? Dual wield would need to be wayyyyyy stronger to justify losing trap launcher. Thoughts?
@@user-kq6ju6hc1wRan BFD with 2H hunter using Ravager. His DPS was comparable to what we're seeing from DW, but a lot of it was from the Whirlwind effect, so it may be large-pull dependent with that particular weapon.
Tried this and the only reason why dual wield is still superior is cleave hits with both hands

I'm also running the DW spec, but with Lone Wolf and Survival spec. I'm just a tiny bit shorter than theses people, but i'm going all in on fantasy class.

idk if you trap dance you can do insane amount of dmg. but yeah we should top meters as only dps class ingame
Went to a bfd as lvl 31 almost full bis with 2,3 upgrades as bm hunter. The 28 dw hunter without bis out dpsed me by 30%😂😂 so I have to spend 3 hrs after bfd to get the runes. Btw, is there mana issue?
Can you do a test on weapon. If raptor strike will clip auto swing?
No ra doesn’t clip auto swing, and no there is no mana issue….and even if there was, have you need seen how overpowered aspect of the viper is lol?
Have STV coins and trying to decide on bow or trink (will get quiver/pouch). No lists have best pre raid showing STV bow for BM however the DPS looks solid?
The Bow for Bm just isn’t worth it the strength proc doesn’t do anything for us.

The bow is mediocre if you shoot it. It's a stat buff for melee hunter.
@@Super_Burrito The DPS of the bow is higher than most other options but at 24.17 dps. Is it the speed that makes it no good?
Yeah the melee runes are big dps, I was doing more than rogue and warrior. It’s pretty fun.
I'm playing melee with all Survival talents and no pet. I'm above everyone else and getting complained that I'm doing almost triple the damage of the next person in raid 😬
none of those lvl 40 hunter had time to get melee specialist and other runes before the gnomer run i think these logs are a little skewed in terms of melee hunter potential.
I just did over 400 dps per boss in gnomer last night as melee hunter

atm cat looks to be king w/ rank 6 claw/bite and dash. 2.0 attack speed if using Flanking strike.

Wolfs worgs. They give buff for mellee
if not using FS pet attacks are normalized and and it's such a minimal difference like a small fraction of dps it doesn't matter at that point!
technically faster is better if not FS but slower can RNG bigger too. @@Amadi-vz2su
as a mostly hunter main throughout my WoW "career", I really hated when they turned the survival tree into a melee spec as I always saw melee hunter as a meme. looking at the new runes, the Dev team really leaned into the meme and gave hunters so many good melee tools. the only rune I like is the trap launcher, invigoration and expose weakness and 2 of those are boot slots. So, with all that said, I decided to roll a boomkin instead, they look super fun.

Why Aspect of the Hawk as meele and not Monkey? Hawk is Range attackpower only..
Because Monkey gives dodge, which isn't an attack stat. Unless you're in PVP or constantly pulling threat in a dungeon, Hawk is still better than Monkey because it at least boosts our attacks should we choose to throw in some ranged, or if we're forced into it.

might hold off on playing Phase2 in the end if hunters are gonna fall behind in dps even though we dont get any cool new builds like mages or warlocks
they look really good at the moment, hard to tell it's day 3 - even phase 1 wasn't trash they were number 1-3 in dps the whole phase.
a lot of the fun is just in discoverying the new. It's not perfect but it's hard to make something perfect that's not fully tested and therefore datamined etc already.
im sure a lot will reveal itself as ppl start grabbing raid / blood moon / ab items.
true, no I know, phase1 was freakin awesome to be a hunter. I topped everything and pvp was a blast against rogues and everything else. I was just scared phase 2 would see a steady decrease after the endless nerfs and all that but maybe i'll give it a try anyways@@Naturetvz

I just saw the same, I was quite surprised. I didn't imagine the meelee hunter would finally get some love but here we are. I guess they'll nerf it tomorrow so by the time i'll try it out it's probably too late haha@@kcorourke9836

I rolled hunter p1 without knowing he would be strong (playing since release day) lost the fun of playing cause 100 nerfs.

I hate the melee hunter meta.. Its lazy. If I wanted to play a melee class id play warrior or rogue. Phase 2 has been boring. Barely anything new and same old boring Cat meta from the last 4 years of classic...
Take solace in PvP boys, we are gonna be agility stacked crit machines. Raid for loot, pvp for the win!
