    I went back to watch jason from the beginning and i honestly love him after the accident. The other jason was just so boring. Jason Morgan is the best character on General Hospital to date.

      He is one of the most unique characters ever. He has lost his memory and certain cognitive functions.
      He has suffered a personality shift.
      He has no connection to anyone.not a single soul on the plant.
      His family and friends are total strangers to him.
      And when they tell him about himself, the person they describe seems to be too perfect to be true.
      He has to reinvent himself from scratch.And he chooses a life totally opposite of the one he once lived. He went from the golden boy, perfect son to a brain damaged criminal. What a scenario.

      @@beegee1960 I agree with all that you said except the brain damaged criminal part…..yes he was boring.

      I love Jason Morgan. I still need to see a few videos of Jason Quartermain.

    For those who are upset Jason Q. is Jason M. Here's the reason why it happened and why it will never be reversed!
    It was Steve Burton's wish for the character change to stretch and grow his acting abilities! He was getting bored with Jason Quartermaine the well liked rich goody two shoes character and he wanted to work with Maurice Benard so they had to create a convincing reason for Jason Quartermaine to give Sonny Corinthos the time of day.....it was either this change or he was going to walk so and they didn't want to loose the actor so Jason Morgan was created with no intentions of ever bringing Jason Quartermaine back per Steve Burton's request!

      I don't blame him, Jason q was a goodie goodie which was annoying.
      With him becoming Jason Morgan it was a genius idea! The acting style, character development during the years is brilliant.
      Who else can play so many different ways, from being shot, head surgery, accidents, attacks.

      Krista Gerry is what you wrote is true then I’m so happy……Jason Morgan was soooooo boring…….some of these people toting real feelings at the change but I love it……Jason Morgan aka Stone Cold was the best decision they made……I appreciate how he gravitated towards Sonny and Carly……no matter how bad they were……..like everyone else they deserve friendship too.

      But how was it stretching his acting stand around like a zombie saying nothing. It's like he was the puppet and Sonny was pulling the strings. I can understand stretching and growing his acting but why couldn't they have done it in a way without making him act like a jerk and a complete ass. I never understood that. I like Jason Morgan and his relationship with Monica but I'll never understand the rest of it. He was even rude and scary to poor Lila at first and that was uncalled for to me. That just took it too far to do that to an elderly lady.

      Somehow I can’t see Jason Q as going along with Carly and her nonsense.

    • @emptyheaded7182

      "Acting ability" Jason M was stoic and got boring pretty fast. It could've been a temporary change and then he could've been a mix of JQ/JM and got his memories back. Now THAT would've been a challenge and more fun to watch than Sonny's lap dog for decades.

    Right here was the first mistake. Calling him a perfect son, putting the pressure on to become that perfect son again. What an incredible burden it must have been on Jason to try to meet those expectations when he did not even know his own name. Of course the Quartermaines has no way to know what they were doing to him.
    And here goes Kisha adding to the load. Does she actually believe that Jason understands who she is talking about. Surely they had told her that he didn’t know anyone.

    • @sarahswomley2580
      @sarahswomley2580 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's no wonder Jason rebelled so much against the Q's. They wanted their "perfect" son back and even if he wanted to, he couldn't remember and that pressure pushed him away.

      Carly was trying to do the same to Michael when he woke up

  • @devane85
    @devane85 5 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Kimberly looked especially pretty in these scenes.
    I loved that Robin was the first person he woke up to and I knew that would be significant at some point.
    I love Alan but him calling Jason his "perfect" son was too much. Unfair burden placed on Jason and cruel to AJ too.

      @DarkActionGirl 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Jason Q was a dull character who had no real presence. I can understand why you prefer Jason Morgan because that's when he started to get storylines and a layered personality. Even Steve Burton said he got bored of playing a goody two shoes.

      Jason Q never got any true development, thanks to the writers had they done a better job he would stood out to be somewhat like a Patrick drake on the show.

    I never understood the scene with Keisha. Surely someone had told her that Jason had lost his memory. She seemed shocked that he did not know her. She never seemed to realize this fact.

    • @kristagerry8505
      @kristagerry8505 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think they had or that she was possibly in denial?

    • @kristagerry8505
      @kristagerry8505 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's also possible at this point they didn't know about the memory loss yet?

    • @beegee1960
      @beegee1960 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Krista Gerry I am talking about after he woke up. They knew very early about the memory loss because he asked Alan the first day who he was. Either no one filled Keisha in before she visited Jason or she was in denial. Or perhaps Keisha just thought if she told him enough times that she loved him it would make him remember her. But she kept talking to Jason as though nothing had happened and like he should know who and what she was talking about. It just didn’t’ t make sense. If they sent her into that room without warning her that he might not know her, then they were incredibly cruel.

    • @beegee1960
      @beegee1960 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Krista Gerry They knew as soon as Jason woke up. He asked Alan who he was. Even if they did know it was going to be permanent, they knew there was a problem. How could they let her go into his room without knowing he might not know her.
      It was more than likely an oversight, everyone thinking someone else told her.
      Or someone may have and it just didn’t sink in. Even after she knew, she never seemed to accept it. Like when she got so angry about Jason not understanding her distress over the Ward House burning down. That was weeks later and she still did not seem to understand that his memory was gone.

    I wonder if deep down even with no .Memories jason knew he was Robin's friend

  • @firecracker2225
    @firecracker2225 5 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    I understand why the writers did this. They wanted to shake things up and make the good boy, the bad boy. But I think they should have let him slowly start to remember things over time. Just have him remember a couple of moments from his old life every year. That way, he would have never remembered all of it, but it would have helped him understand who he was, and more importantly, who his family was. Especially in regards to AJ. If Jason could have remembered a handful of memories that showed how much he and AJ loved each other, and the struggles AJ went through, I don't think he would have helped Carly keep Michael away from his father. It destroyed AJ to watch his own brother treat him like an enemy. Especially since years later, after Jason thought Jake died, he went to AJ's grave and apologized for keeping Michael from him.
    Watching Jason turn against AJ, and watching him become Sonny and Carly's minion, was the hardest part about Jason Q, becoming Jason Morgan. I never understood how they could make Jason Morgan be so passionate about his independence and making his own decisions, and then have him basically become Sonny and Carly's little bitch. Oh, and then pairing him with Sam. Worst couple ever. He should have ended up with Robin. And if not Robin, then Elizabeth. Those two women were the only ones who ever really loved him. But more importantly, they made him a better man. Sam is just a bargain sale trash bag. I wish the writers would break them up. The two of them have absolutely no chemistry, and their whole relationship is so played out.

    • @beegee1960
      @beegee1960 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jason did not really turn against AJ. That would have required a connection.
      For Jason, that connection no longer existed. It was lost in the accident. The one AJ caused.
      Jason was simply indifferent to AJ. He knew intellectually that AJ was his brother, but it no longer has any meaning for him. His friendship with Carly was stronger than any connection to AJ. He did not like AJ threatening to take the baby away from Carly, and acted to help her. To Jason it was as simple as that. He had no concept of the morality of his actions at the time.
      But you know what would have kept him from claiming Carly’s baby? Robin. If she had not left him and gone off to Paris, she would have been there to prevent it.

      Some of these comments just spiteful…..just because Jason turned away from the Q’s did not make him a tool or a fool for Sonny and Carly……why can’t they understand that he made his choice…..it was Jason’s choice!!!.

      I totally agree with everything you said and it would have been much better if they had did it that way instead of making him a complete jerk and Sonnyand Carly's minion. Instead he treated everyone like crap and I've always hated that.

    I know everyone adores this jason I guess I did too bc I was a teen who had a crush on him & todd manning in 96 had their pics on my wall lol. Now that I'm a parent this breaks my heart for his family. I wish he didnt have to be such a pri"k. Like why does impulse control include being so angry & mean to everyone?

    • @lstarsabb
      @lstarsabb 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      He was jerk to his family, but most of them deserved it. But he did make thing riht with Lila when he went off on her His anger toward Keisha tho wasn't necessary, but it was phase that he was jerk because he was frustrated that he couldn't turn back to the old Jason. He was nice to Robin and Sonny because they didn't try to pressure him to be the old Jason. The Quartermines (except Lila,Emily, and Ned) always did.
