This House would support the enactment of a Good Samaritan law.
What would you do if you saw someone whose life was in danger? The issue surrounding Good Samaritanism has gained importance in recent years, highlighting the legal and moral responsibilities to help those in need. However, it also forces individuals to help others despite their personal conditions, making it illegal to be "bad Samaritans." You get punished if you don’t help those in need. Should this Good Samaritan law be enacted?
This week, students from Sehwa High School, Incheon Haneul Academy, Hana Academy Seoul, and Daeil High School argue for and against the motion "This House would support the enactment of a Good Samaritan law."

I love how the last guy argues but i've got to admit, the Goverment Whip had a direct hit.
I only came to watch this for the last guy and I wanted to skip to the end but boy, everyone of them did a great job from the start to the end!

How is no one talking about the performance of the opening government!!! both speakers did an amazing job the 2nd speaker caught my attention of how well spoken he was!! replied in smar and calm manner to a POI... the first speaker was also amazing I'm amazed by both of them.. sad how they got low votes from the audience..
people kept mentioning the last speaker from the closing opposition did you clearly hear him say
"they did not point out who will be punished and how they will be punished"
WHEN the government team clearly mentioned paying a fine as a punishment by the pedestrians who ignore the crime scene...
like he's an amazing speaker and everytime but everyone in the comments should give credit to the government bench who were amazing.. just bcuz someone is sassy in their speech doesn't mean it's perfect.

I know the audience were biased they judge on the basis of the motion it's unfair
I do believe that the closing opposition was not entirely justified. He talked a lot about how morality is not included in legality but in truth, the entire legal system is based on the concept of morality. Also good samaritan law is not forcing people to do what they can't but enabling people to do what they can.
Deputy leader of opposition seemed to have difficulty organizing his ideas and expressing his thoughts he kept repeating his point

The Government Whip might linguistically have a better English due to his British accent. However, I do believe that The Opposition Closing should have won this debate for their reasoning & persuasion.

The fact that these kids' first language is not English and they sound better than me, as a native speaker, bro, I'm in awe. Though can someone tell me, why is the debate in English? Is it because of the debate being in a British debate style? or something else?
Most competitive, standardize debate are in English. We have WSDC (world schools debating championship) competition for national team around the globe!
In Korea, to get a good position and enter good university, it is imperative to have very fluent English ability.
