Having listened to this piece of awesomeness... I'm pretty sure we now need a spliced version of the Japanese (the one in the game/OST), the 2nd Japanese one not on the OST (its on one of the OST's on Spotify apparently)...?, and this into one song! 👍👌🔥
Thanks!! I wish it was mine - it's Solaria, she's a voice bank and I essentially tune her like you would a piano or guitar (if you also had to make the piano pronounce words too XD )
Haha thank you! Yeah with the Monster Hunter songs, I find it really difficult to balance the original meaning (which is usually really vague and either overly verbose, or too short for the syllable count) with making the lyrics actually sound good. It's definitely hit or miss lol! 😂 But I'm glad you liked the rest!! 💙
Quite good, i like it. Now a small criticism, but a lot of big cover artists do it too so just a pet peeve of mine. When pronouncing japanese words like sakura or kamura, in english you tend to go rwa fonetically at the end, should be just ra (you know how you say the egyptian god Ra?). Might be difficult for an english speaker to get it right, but might serve you well if you manage to sing the japanese words like they are spoken in japan. Just sounds better to my ears.
I figured out what you meant by comparing "ra" with the Google translate voice in Japanese vs English. I think a slightly better way to describe it would be "rah (English)" vs the flatter and abrupt sound with "ra (Japanese)." Honestly, I don't even think my description was good. It's best to just hear it, since it's pretty hard to describe with English.
Thanks for your kindness, and the criticism too! Solaria is a vocal synth which I have to tune/add phonemes/etc, I basically have to figure her out like an instrument! I had her sing 'ra' the way she does in her Japanese voice bank (rhyming with car), and from the raw files I think I achieved that 🤔 Do you mean the way the actual 'r' is pronounced? The Japanese voice bank definitely pronounced the 'r' with more of a r/l/d mixture than the pure American arrrr sound, but I chose not to replicate that. I'd love to figure this issue out! ☺️ If I sent you a version with her Japanese voicebank singing the kamura/sakura parts, could I trouble you to listen to it and tell me if her Japanese voicebank is actually pronouncing it wrong? That would mean I should stop using it as a tool to help with her English voicebank. I would be super grateful, but I know you're probably busy! Either way, thanks for listening 💙
She also unfortunately pronounces some English words incorrectly 😥 She's an American voicebank and I'm trying to force her to sound British (to little avail lol!) which is why her pronunciation of things like "chased" and "light" sound a little odd 😅
Haha you're absolutely right! To be honest, the picture was so gorgeous I completely overlooked the hand - that's my fault for not telling Meansary that Wyverians have four fingers! Thanks for listening, I'm glad you liked it 🥰
No, it's not AI. Solaria is a vocal synth which means, while yes it isn't me singing, I have to play her like an instrument, like a piano. The difference is, it's a lot harder than just playing the piano, because I have to tune her. Pianos can play perfectly on a note (like autotune) and it doesn't sound weird because it's a piano, but voices are a lot more organic, they go off-key and wobble and become more breathy at times. So I have to add all these parameters to tune her so she sounds more human (I wasn't very good at it back here!). On top of that, I have to determine her pronunciation so she doesn't sound extremely American or extremely unnatural. Imagine if you played the piano, but also while playing the piano you had to tighten and relax and wobble the strings, and also make it speak
@Sosage that makes me feel better, keep up the good work man. playing an instrument in itself is very hard and tuning a software to sound human sounds wayyy harder. It did sound unnatural to me and I've seen videos of songs made by ai so I thought it was the same as those. It feels good to know it's basically a more complicated instrument lol
@@Alpheus_09C Thank you so much 💙 I don't support AI art at all unless it's just for goofs and it's clearly credited, and even then it's still dubious thanks to the way AI unethically scrapes its material. Really demotivating as someone who spends a lot of time making mistakes to hear someone churn out bland but catchy music in like the span of 10 seconds. The main reason she sounds unnatural here is because I always start with the notes completely flattened, and then try adding in the wobbles and vibrato afterwards. But I was crap at it and didn't put in enough off-tune sections, so she sounds like she's been autotuned 😂 Probably the mixing too, AI mixing is always slightly muffled and grainy. I'm still not very good at mixing though haha! I appreciate your understanding 💙
So it has happened, you found out the lyrics, I'm impressed
Thank you!! 💙
The pure winds that chased evil from Kamura
Halt in shadows
Cast in the firelight of the tatara
Dark clouds shroud the sky
Be still, be still, we beseech of thee;
Divine gale, accursed lightning
Rampage of one hundred wyverns;
Calamity razes everything
Sacred flames, we doth pray to thee;
Guide us forth in our time of need,
As crimson Sakura dance in firelight
We vow to protect Kamura till we part
The pure winds that chased evil from Kamura
Halt in shadows
Cast in the firelight of the tatara
Dark clouds shroud the sky
Be still, be still, we beseech of thee;
Divine gale, accursed lightning
Rampage of one hundred wyverns;
Calamity razes everything
Sacred flames, we doth pray to thee;
Guide us forth in our time of need,
As crimson Sakura dance in firelight
We vow to protect Kamura till we part
This is really nice to have such a polished version that can help more hunters get immersed in Kamura.
Thanks so much!! 💙☺️
This is amazing! I've always wanted to hear an English cover, so thanks for making this.
Ahh, me too, I thought for sure there would be lots of English covers, the song is so lovely, but no 😓 Thanks so much for your kind words!!
It feels so angelic, IT'S TOO GOOD 🥺❤❤❤
🤗 Ahh thank you! 💙 I'm so excited for your Stardust cover!!
@@Sosage Thanks!!!

Thanks so much! I'll see if I can do that and get it on google drive or somewhere you can download it 🥰
This is brilliant :) Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for your lovely comment! 💙🤗

Your voice is gorgeous.

Oh, your talent's amazing then. ☺️
This is so good
Thank you!! 💙
This is great! I'm surprised and sad I didn't hear it sooner!
Thanks so much!! I appreciate you listening 💙
i think the cadence of the first stanza could be less awkward but the rest of them were great

Hinoa is hotter than Minoto and there aint a soul in the world who can change my mind
I think Hinoa has slightly downturned eyes and it gives me adorable puppy vibes 💙

Lovely music, but shouldn't hinoa have 4 digits on her hand, not 5?
