It's a waste of time doing those tests - they just provide an excuse for police to arrest, however well you really perform them (as this guy did). Just cut the crap and go for an objective test such as a breathalyser, drug wipe and/or blood test, like the rest of the world does.

Who with a sane m.... Oh wait, that's in the US, so forget about that. In my country you better abide by the suspended license (you are in for up to a year in prison and/or a hefty monetary fine). After a DUI you have a lengthy suspension of your license and you can only retake your license exam after a costly and strict psychological exam where you need to convince the examiner that you are not likely to reoffend. Running a red light (= points on your license + hefty fine + 1-2 months suspension of license), excess speeding (= points on your license + moderate fine + 1-3 months suspension of license if you are significantly over the limit, less significant speeding but repeat offender = 1 month license suspension), using your phone while driving (= points on your license and fine), tailgating (to little distance to the car in front of you (= points on your license and hefty fine + possibly an immediate 1-2 months suspended license) - get 8 points (and those offenses I listed carry 1-3 points, depending on severity) and your license is revoked and you need to go to the above exam. Oh and in Austria there now is a new law that would end with his car being auctioned off for the excess speed he drove it at.
@@duramaxadventures5832 The fines the courts dish out for driving without a license don't seem to be a deterrent to do so. The law seems toothless. In Germany losing your license is a case where fr example your privilege to drive a company car is immediately removed while you are without a license (your company management will have gotten for example the correspondence about your traffic infractions and you have to keep a copy of your driving license current with them), so you have to revert to public transport or use the bicycle to go to work (has happened to two colleagues of mine for speeding twice in short succession, they only had one month license suspension - oh and that isn't in the courts digression it is a simple case of the DMV issuing the suspension automatically when the speeding/red light running/tailgating/etc is considered final after possible court appeals...

In my Country that would be a case for 1 year in prison or a hefty monetary fine - and if mom knew and let him drive anyway it would be the same for her.

The tests are not only about the physical condition of a driver but the ability to follow instructions which makes the driver able to cognitively drive. Impairment makes it difficult to follow all the instructions properly.
@@kayfurlano1462 That’s what the marketing says but I think the truth is a bit different. The tests are not scientific at all. The results are based purely on the officer’s opinion, an officer whose opinion is you’re impaired which is why you’re talking the tests in the first place. The tests are meant to create probable cause to arrest you and to be used as evidence against you in court not to make sure you’re safe to drive. The tests also have a very high failure rate among sober people.
Sobriety tests are so subjective, typically the cop has made up his mind to arrest prior to even starting the test. This appears to be what happened here. Unless Frank was going to wait for mom to come pick up her car and worthless son, what was he going to do, let him drive away?

I love Frank. He can even make being arrested seem fun. 😂 ❤
Frank's professional approach to dealing with people is impressive.
Sure beats the hell out of, “She was going to throw hot water at me so I shot her in the head.”
There’s a reason they put him on camera. The average cop wouldn’t make the dept look good.
I have to give the guy credit for not trying to lie his way out of it once he knew he was done.
Officer Frank, you are soooooo friendly & always trying to de-escalate, relax the situation (even with people who drive 30 over the speed limit). Thank you for your phantastic work. Greetings from Europe. We love you over here !!!!!!
Magnificence. So much caring and high level of professionalism. Love you guys. 💜🩵
I couldn't do half of those tests sober. Lol😂
Actually, he did pretty well. I don't know where Frank claims to have seen irregularities. The thirty seconds were very close, and he was going straight. I can't stand on one leg for that long even when I'm sober - and I'd wobble more. I'm glad that behavioral-based tests are very uncommon here where I live. I think it might be wise not to go along with this and rather insist on a blood test, because even sober it might create a problem when the officer wants it.
That's why you request a blood test instead. Foolproof.
Thats the trick. The tests are not actually pas/fail. They are simply evidence gathering tools. You should never perform them, especially if innocent.
It's a waste of time doing those tests - they just provide an excuse for police to arrest, however well you really perform them (as this guy did). Just cut the crap and go for an objective test such as a breathalyser, drug wipe and/or blood test, like the rest of the world does.
@@MrLunarlanderexcept that in most states if you refuse to do them they automatically suspend your license. Not that it would matter in his case
As Frank begins the DUI field assessment, the PCS truck is pulling into the parking lot (in the background). This guy was arrested before he even knew it 🤣
As soon as they ask to to step out of the car, you are being arrested
@@CalibrownsfanNot true. There are many reasons an officer may ask you to step out.
Yeah, because those tests mean nothing. If they ask you to do a test, you automatically fail. This video is proof.
@@CJ-ol9gd in context to DUI. The average ego of an officer makes it incredibly difficult for them to change their mind after initially deciding that they believe someone is impaired.
I really don't think field sobriety tests are accurate. Especially anything pertaining to balance. Many people who have been injured in the past may have issues with these tests and because its at the officers discretion they may be wrongfully arresting many people.
That guy did the best line walk I've ever seen
Great job Frank. Thank you.
Every dept needs to do this, provides alot of transparency, entertainment, education, and i imagine it provides a good bit of extra funding.
You always treat everyone with the utmost RESPECT
I think he treats people like they're idiots and disrespect but what do I know I just live here 🤷♂️
A DUI is violation of the Council of Ricks Morty. especially when done in the jurisdiction of C137.

This guy is obviously from reality J19 Zeta 7 where it is ok to be driving recklessly under the influence with a suspended license if you’re just going to Walmart. Of course that is Doufus Ricks reality where they eat poop, so……😁
Thumbs up vote for referencing the correct Rick !
Deputy Sloup is hilarious!😂 How much do these people understand his sarcasm??🤣
He went for the perfect trifecta, driving while suspended, criminal amount of speed, and high on pot, if you’re gonna go, go big 🤣
Nice job! Thanks again for your service and the greats vidéos every weeks!👍🇨🇦
79 in a 45 while license suspended from previous dui lmao. just lol.
And after smoking dope.
And now his mom is without her car for at least 20 days. And she's going to be hut with an impound bill of probably around $1200. 600 for the tow and 30 per day impound fee for 20 days.
@@Jeeps_guns_bbq That's what she gets for loaning it out to her doper son.
@@Jeeps_guns_bbq Pinal County...
Administrative fee: $150.00
Tow charges: $63.00 plus $3.50 per mile
Storage charges: $25.00 per day.
Ps... The 20 day rule often does not apply. eg. If you are towed for no current licence, like this guy, and you get it re-instated.
I feel bad for the mom. But she should be angry at her son, not the police. Just too many compounded stupid decisions.
Also having a weed vape in your pocket makes your defense super difficult in a DUI case.
Cool, calm, collected, considerate and polite. All leading to a straight forward arrest without a car chase, gun fight or even any bad language. Frank controlled the situation and explained clearly the offences committed and I think this perp will learn from this. Excellent job again Frank. Great Britain viewer.
At least the dude owned it and remained respectful the whole time.
True. I wonder if the camera crew had anything to do with that.

Frank: "...Smoked any marijuana?"
Driver: "Yeah, but it was earlier today, before work".
His employer has to love that he comes to work Under the Influence and is a liability. Everyone believes they're special and exempt from the rules. Now, he's got 2 strikes - hopefully, he'll make some future changes.
Most likely his boss knows and probably does the same thing. Especially if he is doing flavored vapes. He is stoned more than he isn't.
Bottom line = Safer roads , after the crappy drivers are removed.
Wow
It cost something ridiculous like $1,000 a day per prisoner That's why we don't put them in prison...
Happy Friday!

I am in Virginia- no intention of moving to AZ, but I binged all the videos!!! Love it!! 😅
i love how deputy Frank's verbal savagery is still with a nice low tone.
Mom's car. Poor mom, she finally convinced her no hope son to go to WalMart for her to get some shampoo, even bribing him with new earrings, and now her car is impounded for 20 days plus a whole bunch of impound fees. It's almost like it doesn't pay to enable your loser kids.
Usually someone high on weed would be doing 45 in a 79 zone.

@@adammiller9179when you have a weed tattoo on your leg you’ve got a high tolerance :)
Very true
Exactly. Better slow and get there in one piece than fast and dead.
i couldnt pass that test straight
Me neither!
It’s designed for you to fail. That’s why you never submit to field tests. They are not designed to test sobriety they are to gather evidence.
This is the most calm and professional DUI arrest I have ever seen!
“It’s my mom’s car” is all you need to know about this stop.
In my Country that would be a case for 1 year in prison or a hefty monetary fine - and if mom knew and let him drive anyway it would be the same for her.
And still living at Mom’s. Failure. To. Launch. 😐
100% guarantee that when he called his mom, he told her that he was stopped for no reason
In Germany his mom would get a visit by the police and would have had a very good explanation why she didn't know he was suspended - else she'd get some bracelets of her own.
100%? If he is so honest with Frank, why would you assume he lies to his mom?
You don’t know that, he was very honest and respectful
@@adammiller9179 experience. always looking forward to a new episode... those field-tests are so ridiculous..thanks for uploading..
They are. The HGN looked nothing like the instructions say you're supposed to administer that test.
I can't imagine being the Mom getting the phone call... "Wait... Where are you? Where is my car?"

As always great job frank!
I am curious what you noticed about the sobriety test that failed him. I was kinda shocked he did so well.
Sobriety tests are so subjective, typically the cop has made up his mind to arrest prior to even starting the test. This appears to be what happened here. Unless Frank was going to wait for mom to come pick up her car and worthless son, what was he going to do, let him drive away?
We couldn't see how he did following the pen with his eyes, he couldn't hold his foot up, & we couldn't see or smell other indicators that Frank has been trained to observe.

My license was suspended once decades ago for doing something stupid (excess of 170 on a bike qualifies, I think). During the suspension I did drive a few times. I made sure everything worked properly on my car, the registration was current, and I carefully obeyed traffic laws. 79 in a 45 while stoned? Uh, no.
170 on a bike qualifies ... maybe. Out in the country and no one around? Who cares. School zone with kids ... probably not a good idea.

20 days impound mandatory, moms gonna be pissed
Yup, and hopefully mom will be smart enough next time to not let her ridiculously irresponsible son drive her vehicle!
Imagine, an extrajudicial punishment and none here raise the issue of its constitutionality. There's also the connected impound yard that charges $50/day. That adds up fast and amounts to a pre court fine that gets paid to a connected local. Impound stinks.
