I agree with you, growing up since I was in boarding school, I was never close with my sisters but we also had good relationships, I found easier to bond with friends at school. But now that I am an adulthood and my friends have grown distant because of marriage, jobs, etc, I have grown so close to my sisters, we hangout all the time, I know they will be the first people I call in case of a problem and I don't take our friendships for granted at all.

Years ago I lost my mom too and had to raise my sisters and brother and my daughter. It wasn’t easy but we made it with deep love I have for my siblings they gave me strength I did not think I had to keep moving and striving and most of all to keep our family together. The love I have for them runs deep. Enjoy your time with them bc the years fly by and before you know it they are all grown and you sit back like wow that was a lot but we made it. The older I get, the qualifications for receiving the best friend title changes. The number of people I call friends has become extremely small by choice so the ones who are left, are all the best. My boyfriend, my best friend since middle school, my cousin, and the young lady who became one of my best friends after we met at my very first job at seventeen. I am friendly, but I don't hand over the title of "friend" very easily. I have all that I need. Everyone needs that someone they can count on. Even if it's just one. That's my personal belief.

I didn't have that type of relationship with my sister and neither did my mother with her sisters. I wish Adrienne would speak more on what her mom did to instill that type of love between sisters because being on the other side of that experience, I can tell you it is not automatic.
I have 7 sisters (YES, there are a lot of us), and we are ALL really close. My parents are close to their siblings and parents, and they each come from a big family too. Our parents never had to teach or force us all to get along. Growing up we saw the close bonds that they each had with their family, so it was like a "monkey see, monkey do" type of thing for us. We just knew the importance of family, and we always had each other's back. Supporting and caring for each other are the two things that we all naturally have in common towards each other. Of course, we sometimes have our differences, but we learn to forgive and forget. We know and understand each other's personality, so we are respectful to one another. We may all come from the same mom and dad, but we are all different in our own ways. In my book, learning each other's traits; being respectful; and forgive and forget are key to building a strong relationship with your siblings. Also, we have wonderful loving parents, so it helped made things easy for us to get along. BTW, we have one sister in law, and she is just like another sister of ours. We don't treat her like an outsider, so she is comfortable with us. She saw that we have a strong healthy family, so it was easy for her to blend in and feel accepted.
She always says that growing up her mom would tell them that when she dies she and her sister will only have each other so they must always remain close.
I remember when she said how her family would never talk behind each other's backs at all. If someone tried to, they would bring the other person in and let them defend themselves and work it out together. That helps a lot because I don't trust anyone in my family enough to have that type of relationship because there's so many different cliques in big families.
I have that relationship with my mother. She is my BFF. My soulmate. My everything. I'd be lost without her. We've had this incredible bond since the day I was born.

Well when I was younger I had alot of people I talk to and friends here and there. As I got older, that reduced to a couple of people and realised that that couple of people still would not be there for me if I was in a tough place (currently experiencing that). So after all that, I do believe everyone needs that one person they can call in the middle of the night. I honestly can't identify one person in my life that I could do that with. Except my mother!!!❤💞 I know that I know that I know she would be there because I have seen that!

for me it’s not like everyone goes out like i’m going to find my best friend, like you may go out saying i’m going look for a hookup or go on dating apps and find a boyfriend or girlfriend within a month and start dating right away but I feel friendships can come in every form from familial to platonic and romantic. Friendship in any of these forms are precious and important. My best friend like she is my sister , we have intwined our families, we go to family functions together i helped her with her sister wedding she intended my nephew moms wedding “she literally loves her” her siblings are my siblings and my siblings are hers. We cry together and do everything together. My older sister thought out of nowhere that we had a argument “we didn’t I was talking about real housewives😂” but she was like i’m driving down to fix it NOWWWWW. So asking if you need a best friend to me is more like having people that come into your life and at that time of meeting not knowing that we would become internal sisters.

I don't have any friends at this point in my life because throughout my life those friendships were fleeting. I appreciate them being in my life for a specific season; however, my self-worth and boundaries are more important. I have "associates" and people I may interact with that involves a "hi and bye" or small talk. I'm not going to sit around and allow anyone to indulge in my personal life at this point in my life. I spend quality time with my parents and take staycations when necessary. Peace lives with me now and I love it here ! I don't need anyone calling my phone for tea or spilling tea. I'm good on that.

I don't think they suddenly became best friends. It has more to do with the parents and how they teach you (or not teach you) to love and respect your siblings since the beginning. Family therapy could help your situation if you're both willing to get closer, if it's just you, it'll never happen.
She said some episodes back that that’s just how she was raised. Their mom instilled in them that once she leaves this earth, each other is all they have; to always have each other’s back and never let anyone come in between them.
My siblings are my best friends fo life. Im the oldest, and my sister thats 5 yrs younger than me i can go to for anything secretive bc of how loyal she is and she'll always find a way to help. My one brother thats 4 yrs younger than me i can count on for a good time laughing till our stomachs hurt. And my other brother thats autistic and 2 yrs younger than me will always make me feel like nothing else matters in life thats bringing me down being such a light in my life. We can all count on each other no matter what, and i can only hope this bond is never broken bc the day something happens to one of us it will be devastating to say the least. Unfortunately, my nonbiological best friend passed away when we were 18 yrs old from a motorcycle accident. I still miss her every day almost 12 yrs later, but her family has definitely filled in some of that void bc i can count on all of them if i needed help at any time. Keep in mind that im hardly ever the type to ask for help. But when its that bad and its needed, all of these people make me feel like they got my back no matter what and theres no better feeling that it can even bring tears to my eyes with how much i feel cared for.

Well when I was younger I had alot of people I talk to and friends here and there. As I got older, that reduced to a couple of people and realised that that couple of people still would not be there for me if I was in a tough place (currently experiencing that). So after all that, I do believe everyone needs that one person they can call in the middle of the night. I honestly can't identify one person in my life that I could do that with. Except my mother!!!❤💞 I know that I know that I know she would be there because I have seen that!

I can proudly say now that i do not have a bestfriend and i am very happy with that, only acquaintances
for me it’s not like everyone goes out like i’m going to find my best friend, like you may go out saying i’m going look for a hookup or go on dating apps and find a boyfriend or girlfriend within a month and start dating right away but I feel friendships can come in every form from familial to platonic and romantic. Friendship in any of these forms are precious and important. My best friend like she is my sister , we have intwined our families, we go to family functions together i helped her with her sister wedding she intended my nephew moms wedding “she literally loves her” her siblings are my siblings and my siblings are hers. We cry together and do everything together. My older sister thought out of nowhere that we had a argument “we didn’t I was talking about real housewives😂” but she was like i’m driving down to fix it NOWWWWW. So asking if you need a best friend to me is more like having people that come into your life and at that time of meeting not knowing that we would become internal sisters.
This is EXACTLY how I feel about my sister. I thank the Lord Jesus for giving me my sister! She's my BEST FRIEND and I love her deeply. She always looks at me like I'm magic and through her, I get a glimpse of the magnitude of God's love for me.

I don't have any friends at this point in my life because throughout my life those friendships were fleeting. I appreciate them being in my life for a specific season; however, my self-worth and boundaries are more important. I have "associates" and people I may interact with that involves a "hi and bye" or small talk. I'm not going to sit around and allow anyone to indulge in my personal life at this point in my life. I spend quality time with my parents and take staycations when necessary. Peace lives with me now and I love it here ! I don't need anyone calling my phone for tea or spilling tea. I'm good on that.
i wish adrienne could talk about how her and her sister got so close. i can’t even have a conversation with my sister bc it’s awkward. i’m still mad about how she treated me in the past bc she’s older and would hurt me a lot. Now that we’re both older, we’ve gotten better but it’s still weird
I don't think they suddenly became best friends. It has more to do with the parents and how they teach you (or not teach you) to love and respect your siblings since the beginning. Family therapy could help your situation if you're both willing to get closer, if it's just you, it'll never happen.
She said some episodes back that that’s just how she was raised. Their mom instilled in them that once she leaves this earth, each other is all they have; to always have each other’s back and never let anyone come in between them.

Adrienne is a tear bag just like my little sister 🤣As the oldest of 2 girls that are super close I know we are blessed to have that connection .
My siblings are my best friends fo life. Im the oldest, and my sister thats 5 yrs younger than me i can go to for anything secretive bc of how loyal she is and she'll always find a way to help. My one brother thats 4 yrs younger than me i can count on for a good time laughing till our stomachs hurt. And my other brother thats autistic and 2 yrs younger than me will always make me feel like nothing else matters in life thats bringing me down being such a light in my life. We can all count on each other no matter what, and i can only hope this bond is never broken bc the day something happens to one of us it will be devastating to say the least.
Unfortunately, my nonbiological best friend passed away when we were 18 yrs old from a motorcycle accident. I still miss her every day almost 12 yrs later, but her family has definitely filled in some of that void bc i can count on all of them if i needed help at any time.
Keep in mind that im hardly ever the type to ask for help. But when its that bad and its needed, all of these people make me feel like they got my back no matter what and theres no better feeling that it can even bring tears to my eyes with how much i feel cared for.

Friends, good friends, are important particularly as you get older. Family dynamics change as life goes by and having those support systems can come in the form of friends. It's not as though you have them around at every moment or talk every minute of every day, but you know they are there and you for them, particularly if major incidents happen. It's about having support.
