Guys. For those who didnt know. There is prequel anime to this. The real story that originated to the undying love Naomi to Ruri. Its Another world. Hit like for those people who isnt aware. So that people can be aware of Real Naomi sacrifice. In the movie they werent able to show it but in those 3 episode of Another world its so breaking :( you can see the episodes here in youtube.
I might've set my standards low, and I know how Kimi no Na Wa amazed the world, but this movie and this soundtrack are number 1 for me. Kimi no Na Wa is a great movie but this movie surpasses it, for me.

The scene when Sensei (Old Naomi) sees Ruri in the library and cries really hit me, it just shows how much he loved her (especially since Old Naomi was ten years older than young Naomi, meaning he's been in love with her ever since), and that he was willing to do anything, just to see her again, after all, he just wanted to see her smile one more time, "Even if it's not reality. This anime has just a different vibe from it, its not the typical Adventure Romance anime that you can watch, this anime is one of the most unique anime that made in history..So thats why Hello World will be forever in my mind and heart
The first piano tone just hits you so strongly like a train, and it feels like everything you've felt while watching the movie just comes back at you, and the beat in the chorus just resonates in your heart. I can't put to words how amazing this movie is, and the music that accompanies it. It is just amazing.

I still feel lost even after 2 years of listening to this song and it makes me remember the movie Hello World as if it was a series of flashbacks in my mind. Such a masterpiece, not something typical nor a cliche, that would forever be in my heart and mind. Glad I'm still alive to be able to watch masterpieces of Japan. Edit: 3 years (and counting) and I'm still mesmerized with this song.

I personally think that there's no need to compare Kimi no nawa and Hello world. They're different movies and are both a masterpiece, so let's just leave it right here, shall we?
yeah i agree i am going to watch this. AND, i'm going to re-watch Kimi no na wa or just watch a review because i didn't know what was going on half the time lol. Like i understand the plot and everything but it's so confusing and i need to clear it.
Yeah tbh people seems to sleep on this one cause of the 3D style. In the last moment of the movie, it all makes sense and that's why. I personally don't have any issue on 3D, as im Ajin enjoyer as well. And one thing that i think a little off in this movie is when the memory flashed back, there's a scene that they put there twice. I think they should've makes new scene rather than cutting earlier scenes, for instance, the memory but from sensei's pov. That'll make it more dramatic ah sht my english. I totally underestimated this movie. Didn't watch it for weeks and when I did..I wanted to kill myself for delaying this gem. Im crying :') And those who didn't understand the ending.... explanation Ruri did in fact get hit by lighting and end up in a coma. You see adult Naomi attempting to dive into Alltale in 2037 to try to go into 2027 before she was struck by lightning in order to use those memories to wake her up. When adult Naomi tried to do this, you can see he hurt himself in the process during the many times he attempted and lost control of one of his legs. Basically, in his last attempt, he successfully dived and convinced 2027 young Naomi to date Ruri in order to get the 100% memory sync. What is implied is that after he retrieved Ruri's memories, he himself went into a coma due to his risky dives. And this is where basically adult Ruri in 2037 woke up from the coma, only to find adult Naomi in a coma, and probably learned about how he went through such lengths to save her. This motivated adult Ruri to do basically what adult Naomi did in order to save her by diving into Alltale. You'll notice that there are actually 2 crows in the movie. In the beginning, the crow that Naomi has when he dived into 2027 world where the hair is black and the crow does not speak. And another crow that young Naomi meets after young Ruri was taken; this crow had yellow hair and a female voice. That crow is actually adult Ruri who went back to dive into Alltale, some time after 2037 when technology is much more advanced. She gives young Naomi the power to jump to the 2037 world in order to get adult Naomi to 100% memory sync. When the adult Naomi dies sacrificing himself to save young Naomi, that scene should transition to near the end when you see the 100% sync bar again. Here, Adult Naomi finally wakes up, and you see that they are in a facility on the moon, which signifies how much time has passed.
Naomi was the one who got struck by the lightning. Ichigou was the one who did the dive. She made dive in (alltae 1) where she made it seem to Naomi that she was the one who got struck and because Naomi who now has in his mind that ichigou was struck by the lightning he made a dive into alltae 2 where young Naomi and young ichigou belongs. This theory is what I believe after watching the movie again . At first I thought Naomi just got stuck and can't go back to the real world but notice how he said that he too was in a recorded world. And now the crow. The second crow who made appearance was ichigou. How can I tell? Thanks to that gold feather. In the ending scene when Naomi wake up we can see ichigou wearing a gold feather pin. When the second crow made her appearance she said to young Naomi that she was the one who's watching him for the past three months so apparently the first crow and the second crow was ichigou all along.... But how was she able to watch young Naomi for the past three months? The answer is simple, it is because she wasn't in the coma in the first place. There's no such thing as ichigou being struck by the lightning. She just made it seem to Naomi in alltae 1 in order to execute the plan.

@@kimjohnsonsierra4845 this theory has some flaws; 1- you're saying Naomi jumped in 2037 then got stuck in there until Ruri woke up "IN 2037" where technology is much more advanced, that's the same year, what?! 2- you're saying that he actually made it and got Ruri's state of mind that he wanted back and thus Ruri woke up and saved him, now we only saw this happening in the simulation, Ruri of the simulation is the one who woke up, not the real one, who was btw never struck by anything, so this thing of Ruri waking up after being saved is completely implausible. 3- you said he got stuck in the simulation where he got himself into, he didn't in his 'world', he saved Ruri and made it back to the supposedly 'real world' until things got missed up, plus how could he still trying to solve the problem if he's in a total coma? point is if he got stuck and didn't know how to get out he would be aware of it, and in the story he was aware that he made out of the simulation. 4- in the story he woke Ruri of the simulation up which has nothing to do with actual Ruri but you're saying that right after, Ruri saved him, so basically once Ruri woke up she got dressed as a scientist and went saving him, because this what happened in the story, he saves fake Ruri then a short after he wakes up. 5- Real world in only in 2D and the Ruri that woke up was in 3D, which means she's just a part of the simulation. Now the as the comment above me stated, Ruri was never in a coma, he somehow saved her from an accident and got injured by it and went into a coma, Ruri then is the one who had to save him so she created this simulation where she reversed the roles and she was the one struck by lighting then Naomi of the simulation goes into another simulation to save Ruri, and he manages to save 'Ruri of the simulation' then things go on until he puts himself in the same state of mind that he was in before his brain shutdown, where he should be in love and willing to sacrifice himself for that person, which is exactly what happens and he wakes up in the actual real world where things are in 2D.

So here's my take, What happened from the beginning of the movie up until where the real naomi, which traveled to the alltale recorded datas really happened, the story was true. But when naomi succesfully synchronized ruri's quantum mind with her physical mind, naomi was unable to synchronize back to his physical mind. Remember, the two minds must be synchronized, so what naomi did is that in order for him to dive into the alltale recorded datas, he synchronized his mind with the quantum data of the alltale. So after he saved ruri, naomi was unable to wake up from the real world because his mind is synchronized in the alltale data The scenes we saw where old naomi was in the real world was just a manifestation of the alltale of what the old quantum naomi supposedly did but is just recorded in data, this happened because the alltale had infinite data, this world that old naomi went back into was not auppose to exist, that recorded world happened because of what the real world naomi did(messing with the alltale data), that explains why the homestatis system of the alltale was able to travel in that world, because it's not rea8l, the moment where naomi saved ruri, but unable to synchronize back, that world was created, naomi's conciousness was trapped in the alltale, that world was created because, his conciousness was trapped in the alltale, and thus, in order to continously handle the data, the alltale created that world In the particular scene where ruri woke up, she uttered " your not katagaki-san" because that old naomi in the alltale was not supposed to exist, he was there because of what the real world naomi did, it was one of the consequences of messing with the alltale data. The original naomis are just the young alltale naomi and the real world naomi, the old naomi in the alltale was like a corrupted data file, it was not suppose to exist, thats why the homeostasis system of the alltale teied to erase one of the naomis When ruri woke up, naomi fell into coma ruri found about about naomi's research so she tried to do the same for him, but now, she studied naomi's data of travelling to the alltale first so she woudn't be in the same condition with what naomi first did She also dove into the alltale but rather than her synchronizing his mind to the alltale, she created a data command( the 2nd crow) to guide the original alltale record naomi in synchronizing his mind to the reall unconcious naomi The crow uttered " im the one whose been watching you for three months" that is ruri saying that she was studying naomi's data and research of him diving into the alltale because all of that happened for three months right? So the real world ruri guided the original alltale young naomi in synchronizing real world naomi's mind. Hear me on this one, the moment where real world naomi went into coma was when he tried to synchronize back to his mind, that is when he saved ruri. Think about this, naomi was able to synchronize ruri's mind because the quantum mind of naomi and the real world mind of naomi felt the same feeling experience when naomi fell into coma and when quantum data naomi was synchronized, So both minds have to be at it's closes state right? This is the same as the moment where old naomi saved young ruri and young naomi saved old ruri, this both scene had the exact same state of both of their minds, due to this, the real world ruri was able to pull out naomi's conciousness and synchronize naomi's mind into his real physical mind The naomi from the other world died right? So real naomi's conciousness was now gone from the alltale, real world ruri pulled out his conciosness into his real world mind and she was able to do that because thier minds was synchronized My theory is that both of them got into coma where ruri was first and naomi was second. In which both of them was the one who saved each other from their coma Both the scene where they woke up was in 2d, all other scenes are 3d, meaning all 2d scenes are real and 3d scenes are not, in the scene where ruri woke up, she was the only one animated in 2d, meaning that she really woke up, but as i said she was the only one in 2d, so the world in that was not real, meaning the world where the original conciousness of naomi woke up after synchronizing ruri's mind was not real. And when naomi woke up from his coma, all animations was in 2d, both of them were in coma, when ruri woke up it was 2037, but naomi's coma started in 2037 but l lasted for how many years so thats why the ending scene showed humans had already civilized another planet( that maybe the moon ). This emphasizes the time gap between their coma

I regret judging this movie. At first, I didn't want to watch it, or more like, I don't expect it to be good since it's not created by some well-known director. But guess what, I am shocked by how beautiful was. There might be some people who critically judges every aspect of this movie and might not be happy with it but, I'm proud to say to be able to watch this movie when it came out. Especially with this song, it makes me feel mixed emotions when it was played during the movie, I felt sad about the character's story, but I also felt happy and excited during the scene. This comment might be all over the place but I only want to say thank you and congratulations to Tomohiko Ito and everyone who take part in the creation of this wonderful movie. And also, to Nulbarich for this wonderful song.
at my first peaking at the trailer's first appearance, i was really hooked up and really like it at all except for my friend who really like kimi no na wa, until when he watches the trailer weeks after the day it released, he just been good enough, so that I pursue to work hard and watch this to cinema with him, and yeah same situation as your, he also regret for having self feedbacks, its like dont judge the book by its cover... and at part of really crying scene, i cant stop myself holding from emotion together with the ending song... same here, nice one to this movie yet very congratulating too those behind this include the staffs, voice actors and actress, the author and directors, company who animate Hello World and with Nulbarich... the only thing that im waiting for this time is the DVD release so that I can have my very first anime movie merch that ill be having on hehehe...

This anime movie totally blew my expectations. Imho, its on par or atleast a little greater than your name despite its solemn and relaxed feel, like a tsuki ga kirei vibes. The ost is just superb. The visuals is no doubt absolutely beautiful. A 10/10 for me. A must watch. My expectation for this movie was low especially when I watched her blue sky. I thought it would give me some disappointment but boy am i glad im wrong. Watch this everyone. This is a masterpiece.

MOVIE EXPLANATION!!! : 1) Male and Female met and become lovers 2) Female got strike by lightning - coma 3) Male go in simulation to change the past, managed to change the past but he can't managed to log out from the simulation so in real life he's also in coma 4) Female woke up and see male coma so she transformed her avatar into the crow avatar after the reset sequence starts to guide the young male to go into her simulated world to delete the older male so he can log out from his simulation and coma. The scene when Sensei (Old Naomi) sees Ruri in the library and cries really hit me, it just shows how much he loved her (especially since Old Naomi was ten years older than young Naomi, meaning he's been in love with her ever since), and that he was willing to do anything, just to see her again, after all, he just wanted to see her smile one more time, "Even if it's not reality. Even if it doesn't belong to me."

Yeah tbh people seems to sleep on this one cause of the 3D style. In the last moment of the movie, it all makes sense and that's why. I personally don't have any issue on 3D, as im Ajin enjoyer as well. And one thing that i think a little off in this movie is when the memory flashed back, there's a scene that they put there twice. I think they should've makes new scene rather than cutting earlier scenes, for instance, the memory but from sensei's pov. That'll make it more dramatic ah sht my english.

I totally underestimated this movie. Didn't watch it for weeks and when I did..I wanted to kill myself for delaying this gem. Im crying :')
And those who didn't understand the ending.... explanation
Ruri did in fact get hit by lighting and end up in a coma. You see adult Naomi attempting to dive into Alltale in 2037 to try to go into 2027 before she was struck by lightning in order to use those memories to wake her up. When adult Naomi tried to do this, you can see he hurt himself in the process during the many times he attempted and lost control of one of his legs. Basically, in his last attempt, he successfully dived and convinced 2027 young Naomi to date Ruri in order to get the 100% memory sync. What is implied is that after he retrieved Ruri's memories, he himself went into a coma due to his risky dives.
And this is where basically adult Ruri in 2037 woke up from the coma, only to find adult Naomi in a coma, and probably learned about how he went through such lengths to save her. This motivated adult Ruri to do basically what adult Naomi did in order to save her by diving into Alltale. You'll notice that there are actually 2 crows in the movie. In the beginning, the crow that Naomi has when he dived into 2027 world where the hair is black and the crow does not speak. And another crow that young Naomi meets after young Ruri was taken; this crow had yellow hair and a female voice. That crow is actually adult Ruri who went back to dive into Alltale, some time after 2037 when technology is much more advanced. She gives young Naomi the power to jump to the 2037 world in order to get adult Naomi to 100% memory sync. When the adult Naomi dies sacrificing himself to save young Naomi, that scene should transition to near the end when you see the 100% sync bar again. Here, Adult Naomi finally wakes up, and you see that they are in a facility on the moon, which signifies how much time has passed.
Naomi was the one who got struck by the lightning. Ichigou was the one who did the dive. She made dive in (alltae 1) where she made it seem to Naomi that she was the one who got struck and because Naomi who now has in his mind that ichigou was struck by the lightning he made a dive into alltae 2 where young Naomi and young ichigou belongs.
This theory is what I believe after watching the movie again . At first I thought Naomi just got stuck and can't go back to the real world but notice how he said that he too was in a recorded world.
And now the crow. The second crow who made appearance was ichigou. How can I tell? Thanks to that gold feather. In the ending scene when Naomi wake up we can see ichigou wearing a gold feather pin. When the second crow made her appearance she said to young Naomi that she was the one who's watching him for the past three months so apparently the first crow and the second crow was ichigou all along.... But how was she able to watch young Naomi for the past three months? The answer is simple, it is because she wasn't in the coma in the first place. There's no such thing as ichigou being struck by the lightning. She just made it seem to Naomi in alltae 1 in order to execute the plan.
@@juliamayinao2053 In the final scene, adult Naomi awakens atop a human civilisation on the Moon, to the overlapping voice of the yatagarasu and an adult Ruri, implying that Naomi fell into a coma after saving Ruri due to the injuries from failing to enter Alltale in his previous attempts and now it was adult Ruri transferring Naomi's memory from Alltale to the real world.

1- you're saying Naomi jumped in 2037 then got stuck in there until Ruri woke up "IN 2037" where technology is much more advanced, that's the same year, what?!
2- you're saying that he actually made it and got Ruri's state of mind that he wanted back and thus Ruri woke up and saved him, now we only saw this happening in the simulation, Ruri of the simulation is the one who woke up, not the real one, who was btw never struck by anything, so this thing of Ruri waking up after being saved is completely implausible.
3- you said he got stuck in the simulation where he got himself into, he didn't in his 'world', he saved Ruri and made it back to the supposedly 'real world' until things got missed up, plus how could he still trying to solve the problem if he's in a total coma? point is if he got stuck and didn't know how to get out he would be aware of it, and in the story he was aware that he made out of the simulation.
4- in the story he woke Ruri of the simulation up which has nothing to do with actual Ruri but you're saying that right after, Ruri saved him, so basically once Ruri woke up she got dressed as a scientist and went saving him, because this what happened in the story, he saves fake Ruri then a short after he wakes up.
5- Real world in only in 2D and the Ruri that woke up was in 3D, which means she's just a part of the simulation.
Now the as the comment above me stated, Ruri was never in a coma, he somehow saved her from an accident and got injured by it and went into a coma, Ruri then is the one who had to save him so she created this simulation where she reversed the roles and she was the one struck by lighting then Naomi of the simulation goes into another simulation to save Ruri, and he manages to save 'Ruri of the simulation' then things go on until he puts himself in the same state of mind that he was in before his brain shutdown, where he should be in love and willing to sacrifice himself for that person, which is exactly what happens and he wakes up in the actual real world where things are in 2D.
THE ONLY EXPLANATION THAT MAKES SENSE THANK YOU

So here's my take,
What happened from the beginning of the movie up until where the real naomi, which traveled to the alltale recorded datas really happened, the story was true. But when naomi succesfully synchronized ruri's quantum mind with her physical mind, naomi was unable to synchronize back to his physical mind.
Remember, the two minds must be synchronized, so what naomi did is that in order for him to dive into the alltale recorded datas, he synchronized his mind with the quantum data of the alltale.
So after he saved ruri, naomi was unable to wake up from the real world because his mind is synchronized in the alltale data
The scenes we saw where old naomi was in the real world was just a manifestation of the alltale of what the old quantum naomi supposedly did but is just recorded in data, this happened because the alltale had infinite data, this world that old naomi went back into was not auppose to exist, that recorded world happened because of what the real world naomi did(messing with the alltale data), that explains why the homestatis system of the alltale was able to travel in that world, because it's not rea8l, the moment where naomi saved ruri, but unable to synchronize back, that world was created, naomi's conciousness was trapped in the alltale, that world was created because, his conciousness was trapped in the alltale, and thus, in order to continously handle the data, the alltale created that world
In the particular scene where ruri woke up, she uttered " your not katagaki-san" because that old naomi in the alltale was not supposed to exist, he was there because of what the real world naomi did, it was one of the consequences of messing with the alltale data. The original naomis are just the young alltale naomi and the real world naomi, the old naomi in the alltale was like a corrupted data file, it was not suppose to exist, thats why the homeostasis system of the alltale teied to erase one of the naomis
When ruri woke up, naomi fell into coma ruri found about about naomi's research so she tried to do the same for him, but now, she studied naomi's data of travelling to the alltale first so she woudn't be in the same condition with what naomi first did
She also dove into the alltale but rather than her synchronizing his mind to the alltale, she created a data command( the 2nd crow) to guide the original alltale record naomi in synchronizing his mind to the reall unconcious naomi
The crow uttered " im the one whose been watching you for three months" that is ruri saying that she was studying naomi's data and research of him diving into the alltale because all of that happened for three months right?
So the real world ruri guided the original alltale young naomi in synchronizing real world naomi's mind.
Hear me on this one, the moment where real world naomi went into coma was when he tried to synchronize back to his mind, that is when he saved ruri. Think about this, naomi was able to synchronize ruri's mind because the quantum mind of naomi and the real world mind of naomi felt the same feeling experience when naomi fell into coma and when quantum data naomi was synchronized,
So both minds have to be at it's closes state right?
This is the same as the moment where old naomi saved young ruri and young naomi saved old ruri, this both scene had the exact same state of both of their minds, due to this, the real world ruri was able to pull out naomi's conciousness and synchronize naomi's mind into his real physical mind
The naomi from the other world died right? So real naomi's conciousness was now gone from the alltale, real world ruri pulled out his conciosness into his real world mind and she was able to do that because thier minds was synchronized
My theory is that both of them got into coma where ruri was first and naomi was second. In which both of them was the one who saved each other from their coma
Both the scene where they woke up was in 2d, all other scenes are 3d, meaning all 2d scenes are real and 3d scenes are not, in the scene where ruri woke up, she was the only one animated in 2d, meaning that she really woke up, but as i said she was the only one in 2d, so the world in that was not real, meaning the world where the original conciousness of naomi woke up after synchronizing ruri's mind was not real.
And when naomi woke up from his coma, all animations was in 2d, both of them were in coma, when ruri woke up it was 2037, but naomi's coma started in 2037 but l lasted for how many years so thats why the ending scene showed humans had already civilized another planet( that maybe the moon ). This emphasizes the time gap between their coma
Then what about the another scene of confession in the classroom?

Yesterday and Lost Game for Sensei's determination to get her back and New World for the ending.
I regret judging this movie. At first, I didn't want to watch it, or more like, I don't expect it to be good since it's not created by some well-known director. But guess what, I am shocked by how beautiful was. There might be some people who critically judges every aspect of this movie and might not be happy with it but, I'm proud to say to be able to watch this movie when it came out. Especially with this song, it makes me feel mixed emotions when it was played during the movie, I felt sad about the character's story, but I also felt happy and excited during the scene.

at my first peaking at the trailer's first appearance, i was really hooked up and really like it at all except for my friend who really like kimi no na wa, until when he watches the trailer weeks after the day it released, he just been good enough, so that I pursue to work hard and watch this to cinema with him, and yeah same situation as your, he also regret for having self feedbacks, its like dont judge the book by its cover... and at part of really crying scene, i cant stop myself holding from emotion together with the ending song... same here, nice one to this movie yet very congratulating too those behind this include the staffs, voice actors and actress, the author and directors, company who animate Hello World and with Nulbarich... the only thing that im waiting for this time is the DVD release so that I can have my very first anime movie merch that ill be having on hehehe...

This anime movie totally blew my expectations. Imho, its on par or atleast a little greater than your name despite its solemn and relaxed feel, like a tsuki ga kirei vibes. The ost is just superb. The visuals is no doubt absolutely beautiful. A 10/10 for me. A must watch. My expectation for this movie was low especially when I watched her blue sky. I thought it would give me some disappointment but boy am i glad im wrong. Watch this everyone. This is a masterpiece.

@@Jasond29223 well in my opinion it was rather bland. I had high expectations of it but the story seem rather, i dont know, lacking. But give it a try though if you will like it but thats just me ;)

1) Male and Female met and become lovers
2) Female got strike by lightning - coma
3) Male go in simulation to change the past, managed to change the past but he can't managed to log out from the simulation so in real life he's also in coma
4) Female woke up and see male coma so she transformed her avatar into the crow avatar after the reset sequence starts to guide the young male to go into her simulated world to delete the older male so he can log out from his simulation and coma. (this is where MC gained the god's hand again) (also the explanation for the ending scene where MC woke up from coma)
Time for male to save female? 10 yrs
