Jackals are smart AF and awesome predators, and from what I've heard, the black backed jackal is apparently the oldest member of the genus Canis. Amazing, ancient little dogs!

Quite a lot of carnivores lnow/understand to attack so the winds are blowing at them, carrying their scent away from their prey.

Also love them...Where I grew up they're seen as pests, undesirable animals🥺mainly because they hunt farm animals and people always say they carry rabies and that this makes them aggresive; nevertheless I have seen them in the wild and they have never attacked. They are just surviving🤷🏽♀️
