I've been highly considering picking this game up and am so glad a stumbled upon your video. What a great overview! I will be picking this up sooner now rather than later.
Thanks for the video. Well done throughout with fantastic examples of play and the unique rules questions/timings that may arise. This is definitely on my wish list now.
Really great and thorough video. I love that you demonstrated setup for a 2p player game. My copy is coming later this week and I will probably be playing it with my wife, so it was great to see the differences between 1p and 2p games, since yours is the only video I've found (so far) that explains the 2p setup and gameplay. Also, I loved that you talked about how spending dice on skills makes them go to the supply, rather than be "occupied" for those skills. Even after all the videos I've watched and reading the entire rulebook, I was a little fuzzy on that rule, so I'm glad to see it explained here. Well done! And thanks!
Great video and instruction. Some things were confusing me and hearing you say them out loud helped! Now to check out your solo play of this game! Thanks!
This looks really cool! I do have a question regarding potions though. In the example you showed, you spent one 'potion cube' for each potion available, which makes sense to me, since the players had one potion of healing, but also found one potion of mana and one potion of heroism. If that's the case, when gaining a potion, wouldn't it be better to place a 'potion cube' on the potion card of the gained potion, so you know what potion(s) you have available? However, you made it sound like you can spend the 'potion cubes' any way you want. So, for example, if I wanted to use the healing potion 3 times, I could, even though I only had one from the start and found two other different kinds of potions. Is this how it's meant to be or should it be one potion of each type found? Doesn't really make sense to get more healing potions when you haven't found any more. Since you showed that players can't gain the same type of potion they already have, it sounds like the 'potion cubes' can be spent any way the players want. Wouldn't it make more sense to allow players to collect whatever potion they want, but place a 'potion cube' on each potion card as they get them, rather than in a pile to use at will? I can house rule it that way anyway, but just looking for clarification. Thanks! Looking forward to buying this game!
The potions cubes can be used in any way you want. So, yes... you can, in fact, use all 3 cubes to heal if you'd like. You see me do exactly this in my Play-Through that is uploading now. Your house rule certainly sounds more thematic but it will make the game harder since it will reduce the number of Healing Potions you have. You'd basically only gain them for leveling up. (Assuming your house rule allows you to pick which potion you gain when leveling.) Enjoy your game!
The basic skill cards are activated when you have "Veteran" level in the Campaign mode. There are 4 skills to choose from. There are two cards in case you're playing with 2 players.
There's been so much hype about this game since it was released, but I didn't have a clue what it was about. This is a brilliant overview. Thanks.
Thank you!
This was the best video I found for instructions on how to play this game. Bravo. I don't think I'd even need to read the manual.
Thank you.
Very nice demonstration. Just got mine today, and was a little confused on how to play. Glad I found you!
Thank you. I'm glad you found the game! Enjoy!

Thank You! Very good!
Thank you very much.
Excellent job!
Thank you.
Great tutorial. Thanks!
Thank you! Enjoy your game!
Great instructional video, helpful. When using easy mode do you choose either starting at level 2 and gaining loot as xpl or do you get both?
Starting at Lvl2 would be Easy mode. Starting with an Xp card would be "Medium" mode.
Nice one, thank you. One question. The limit of level cards works additional to the hero card skills or as sum?
In ADDITION to the skill on the Hero Card. Think of skills on the heroes as being free skills. As is the Basic Skill if you play with the Campaign
That was very helpful!
Thank you! Enjoy your game!
Much better than the printed guide!!!
Thank you!
Amazingly complex.
Can you explain the basic skill cards?
The basic skill cards are activated when you have "Veteran" level in the Campaign mode. There are 4 skills to choose from. There are two cards in case you're playing with 2 players.
My Play-Through shows the "Precision" skill being used.
How do you play a 4 or 5 player game?
You can play 4 player with two decks. Then double up the doors and pair off to fight each card.
Sweet, I really took a liking to this game, and now it's coming out on Steam in a couple of days too, but I want the board game.
