DIY Vacuum clamp pads, alternative to Festool VAC SYS

DIY version of workshop vacuum clamp pads, as an alternative to Festool's now discontinued VAC SYS system.

I am using a 110v Gast 0822 Oilless Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump.
White PVC plastic is Expanded PVC Plastic Sheet, 19mm (3/4") from buyplastic.com. I have also seen this at Lowes.
Air fittings from Amazon, 1/4 PT Male Thread 8mm Push in Joint Pneumatic Connector Quick Fittings.
Foam tubing from Amazon, EPDM Foam Rubber Weather Stripping Round Rubber Tubing Seal Closed Cell Solid Foam Tubing Strip. 6mm.
Air tubing from Amazon, uxcell Pneumatic Air Tubing, 8mm OD x 5mm ID 5.5m(18Ft) PU Polyurethane Air Compressor Tubing.
Foot pedal from Amazon, TAILONZ PNEUMATIC 1/4"NPT Pneumatic Foot Pedal Valve Kit 5 Way 2 Position Threaded Rubber Nonslip Pressure Control 4F210-08L(with Lock）with 6mm Pneumatic Fittings.

You shouldn't make such sharp corners for your grid gasket. A radius of about 3/4" would allow the cord to bend more easily, so you keep as much vacuum seal as possible.

I agree, the template radius looked more gradual than the end result on this first go around. My current pads and template for making them are more rounded. However, they also work fine, no apparent loss of suction since I can pick up my MFT by pulling up on the workpiece when on.
