    Been running the Burley Cub X for over a year now. I bring the kids everywhere in that thing and they love it. Off-road trails, rain storms, playground hopping, green market shopping, cruising the neighborhood... the Cub X handles it all with ease. We use it A LOT and it still looks new. The hard plastic tub/floor was the big selling point for me. I bring them through grassy fields and wooded trails all the time and was worried about asharp stick or rock lodging up and shooting through a fabric floor. That plastic tub adds peace of mind and rigidity. This is the type of trailer you can use for years. Already decided I'm gonna keep it once the kids out grow it. The seats fold away so it can double as a great little cargo trailer. Perfect for picnics at the park.

      We have never used the cub X, but based on our experience with all of the other Burley trailers, it’s got to be excellent! Keep up the good work with your adventure family!

    I hook it up to the E bike and shred the trails thrashing the kids. Upgraded to a 5 point harness, when his huge head turns the trailer drifts had to add a head rest to keep that gyroscope of a noggin in place

      Be careful as these trailers actually tip over quite easily at higher speeds and are not designed for impact at higher speeds by any means!

    Thanks for the videos, helps a lot! We are deciding between burley honey bee and thule coaster txt. As kid may fall asleep in the trailer, We highly value comfort of the child. Is both using hammock seat? Would you recommend us getting burly honey bee and then get seat pad or coaster txt? Or the seat pad doesn't make a huge difference in comfort? Thanks for your advice in advance:)

      The Honey Bee and Coaster XT both have hammock style seats. At the bottom of our review on our website, we offer a detailed comparison between those two trailers www.twowheelingtots.com/burley-honey-bee-review/

    If I already have an Allen t2, is getting a burley bee a meaningful enough upgrade to be worth it?

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can read a more thorough comparison of the Bee and the Allen in our Burley Bee Review here. If you want to bike frequently, the upgrade is ABSOLUTELY worth is.
      Here's the review: www.twowheelingtots.com/burley-bee-bike-trailer-review/
      But also, here's a brief overview of why the Burley Bee is better than the Allen T2:
      Overall design and components are much higher-quality and more durable
      Pulls smoother and quieter
      Trailer cover is thicker, better-quality fabric
      More interior space
      UV windows
      More storage space, which is also more secure
      Much easier to fold down for transportation and storage
      Quick release button for removing wheels
      Side battens prevent passengers from pushing against the trailer and hitting the wheels
      Easier initial assembly

    Which single seat trailer would you recommend for tall 5 years old,city use and some light off road usage?

      A five-year-old is going to outgrow a trailer very quickly. The Wike brand does make larger trailers primarily to accommodate older, special-needs kids.

      @@Twowheelingtotsbikes Your channel is fantastic, thanks for the great reviews. I'm on the fence with the Thule Chariot Lite ($950 no tax brand new in box) vs. the Honey Bee ($500 + tax). I know the Chariot Lite for that price is a steal. Still steep but I am trying to convince my wife. I don't really jog or ski so I wasn't sure if I really needed the Chariot Lite but it just seems really sleek and nice.

    curious as to why you prefer a trailer over a front seat?

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It totally depends on the situation. Front mounted seats are the most fun way to ride, but trailers can be safer depending on terrain. They can also hold two kids, snacks, and toys!

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's always weight, not age. Depending on the brand, it's 40 pounds or 48.5 pounds per child. But that is generally 4 or 5 years old.

    How does the Burley Honey Bee hold up for jogging?

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does quite well for what it is. Burley trailer push verrrrry smoothly. If you're planning on doing a lot of jogging, I would suggest looking at the brand Qeridoo. All of their trailers, (from the cheapest to most expensive) come standard with a single air stroller wheel that tucks under the body of the trailer. It's my favorite for jogging by far. Here's the Qeridoo Kidgoo review... you can see how the stroller works, even on their cheaper strollers - the Qeridoo Sportrex or Speedkid.

    The current designs for child carriers are simply not safe. The rear tow trailers are very vulnerable to being hit from behind and offer zero protection to kids. At the very least impact absorbing materials and roll cages should be compulsory for child carrying trailers.

    • @Twowheelingtotsbikes
      @Twowheelingtotsbikes  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When used correctly, bike trailers that meet ASTM safety standards are very safe. Burley is a great example of a trailer company that takes safety very seriously. Oddly, there is no required safety standard for bike trailers, but Burley was instrumental in creating an ASTM standard that is voluntary. All good trailer brands will meet or exceed the standards. Take a look at this article by Burley to see how seriously these companies are taking safety. burley.com/pages/the-burley-standard
