What a nice place! Poor Maggie her aren’t feeling good. Hope she ends up feeling better with the medicine. Glad you went to the bigger island. It’s beautiful! I’m loving this journey as well.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle That’s great to hear she felt better after vet visit. I hate when our dogs get sick. Especially ones as cute as Maggie and my dog. Lol! We love our pets.
Every year! When life is SO high stressed as you come over the bridge, all your problems melt away! We kayak on sandbags, shells everywhere; most occupied by Hermet crabs. I have unbelievable sunset pics. Water like the Bahamas. This place medicine for the Soul!!!
Beautiful Area. Are you still liking the Ekko? hope so.. Golly you have confidence in those boats. Bless sweet Maggie, think the salt water would help her symptoms too.
Yes, we are still liking the Ekko. I’m not sure the salt water would help with Maggie’s symptoms, but she usually gets a bath after swimming in salt water.
Love the video. We were down in central florida last week camping. We went over to Cedar Key Island and just loved that place. Floridas gulf beach’s are absolutely beautiful 👍
Nice Owen caught a fish! Sorry you had to put it back. We do that too leave if we don’t get waited on after a certain amount of time. Or acknowledge us being there. Can’t believe the other place wasn’t open. The Owl. Glad you found a place. I can tell Maggie had a great time as well as you both did on that island. Hope you have a great night and week and see you soon! Safe travels!
I think that was Maggie’s favorite kayak trip, being able to get out of the boat and swim and walk on the beach was the best thing for her and we really enjoyed it too.
You are correct that is a great place We were there a few weeks ago but have relocated to Crooked river Georgia then Ft macalister. We are slowly heading home, it's been a great 4 months in Florida
Owen - you, Lynn and Maggie ARE my kind of exciting. :) The Panhandle is such a great part of Florida and the closer you get to Alabama, the food starts taking on Cajun influence. St. George Island SP looks like a super place camp with the trails and all that clear water. Hope your sweet Maggie is feeling much better now. Hugs for her and safe travels.
GREAT VIDEO, I HAVE MANY MEMORIES FISHING OFF SHORE FROM THE ISLAND, CAUGHT MANY GROUPER 30 LBS AND HIGHER, IT DONT SOUND LIKE YOU MADE IT TO HARRYS BAR, SUPER FUN PLACE, I COULD HAVE BOUGHT LAND ON THE OCEAN FOR 50K 20 YEARS AGO, NOW ITS GOING FOR 500 THOUSAND, THE SAME SIZE LOT, , AS ROY SAYS, '" HAPPY TRAILS TO YOU"
We did not make to Harry’s, we’ll have to go back so we can go there… it get’s really good reviews. 30lbs grouper sounds pretty awesome. If we all could go back and know what we know now. Thanks so much for watching.
I'm catching up. We've been in TX. Loved this video! What was great place! Maggie sure loves to go on the beach! Have a great week. Much love to all three!❤❤🐾 Jane ❤🙏
She was so cute trying to touch the crab. It had washed up on the shore and was probably dead but Owen put it back in the water. I don’t think she ever touch it.
That Island was amazing! LOL Maggie and that horseshoe crab was funny, she really didn't know quite what to do with it. Glad you guys had a great time!
The crab was washed up on the shore and Owen put it back in the water. With the water movement it kind of looked like it was moving which got Maggie’s attention, she pawed at it for a long time without even touching it. So cute!
I like it...I like it a lot. St George Island just moved to the top of the list for us. Wow that trip out to the island was awesome......Happy Trails 🐕
We camped on St George Island last year and it was so nice to see it again. Three different sites is a chore but definitely worth it. We’re not water people so we enjoyed seeing the kayak trip to the island through your eyes. Sweet Maggie is always a joy to watch.
Enjoyed the video. SGI is one of my favorite places. I have never been impressed with The Station either. I am sorry you didn’t get to eat at The Owl. It is usually the best in the area. Nice trout you caught. That would have been tasty had you kept it and cooked it. Thanks for carrying us along.
Owen, that area is a great place - you're not far from one of my favorite camping/fishing spots. The little island you kayaked to is a great spot to fish - nice spec! Sorry about the bad experience at the station - I haven't eaten there but heard it's good. Hopefully a one-time thing. But there's lots of good seafood in the area and a great brewery (Oyster City) for those that like beers. Owl Tap Room is good when the cafe is closed. Small menu but food is really good. Question - do you guys still carry your Calm pop-up and do you use it?
Thanks for all the great suggestions. We do still carry our Clam, we use it when there are bugs or when we are going to stay in one spot for a longer period. We always bring it with us.
No Happy Dance for the Station. We have noticed that when we got to be 60+ we had the Harry Potter invisibility cloaks on to young waitresses. Thats why we often sit at the restaurants bar where the bartender takes your order right away. Loved your private island adventure.
Hahaha yes your camouflage shirt must have been why you were invisible. Beautiful areas you experienced. I hope Maggie gets better asap. I love your videos.
We've been to St George for years on vacation but this coming weekend will be our first time taking the travel trailer. Its going to be cold but reservations are usually 10 to 12 months out and we got a spot 5 days ahead of going, I guess due to the weather.
I love Saint George Campground! I was there last month. I left and went back when more sites opened up. Watch Maggie with the snakes. I had a rattlesnake in my campsite I was two inches from stepping on it. It was cold and it did not rattle. You can take Maggie on the beach anywhere outside of the state park. I parked by the lighthouse and then took my dogs out to the beach. I would have loved to meet you both and Maggie looks like I missed you by a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the warning about the rattlesnake, I would have expected it on the trail but not in your campsite. Also, thanks for letting us know dogs can go on the beach outside the SP, we’ll remember that when we go back.
Making us miss that area. 🙂 Canines and felines have 4 paws, bears have 5. We've been fortunate to see Bob cats, and bears near Hwy 98 right before the bend. Poor Maggie, I hope this treatment works for her. Can't blame you on the 15 min rule, dinner looked good. Enjoyed, keep having fun adventures. 🙂👍
Maggie is a rescue that we found while we were hiking. She was a mess… the vet said it looked like she had lived most of her life on her own, after several hours of them pulling ticks off her and taking care of other things she belonged to us. She has been such a blessing to us.
We do carry a lot of stuff, the biggest thing is the kayaks which do not weigh very much. We will show a closer look of how we pack the garage in an upcoming video.
The Sun shelter is a CLAM Quick-Set Traveler 6 x 6 Foot. We have it in our Amazon store, here’s a link if you are interested www.amazon.com/shop/VanTrekkingLifestyle. It has worked well for us and give us a little extra living space.
I’ve been researching the food we normally feed our dogs and I’m finding that all brands of kibble that we normally feed our dogs is not the healthiest. I’m starting to research the BARF, yes BARF, type of food that is supposed to be better for them. The normal kibble can cause allergies over time.
SGI used to be the best place in the world. Then the internet got involved. Now people from all over come here. Prices have doubled in just a few years. People need to go back to Panama City and Daytona.
What a nice place! Poor Maggie her aren’t feeling good. Hope she ends up feeling better with the medicine. Glad you went to the bigger island. It’s beautiful! I’m loving this journey as well.
Maggie did start feeling better after the vet visit. She is such a trooper.

ST GEORGE ISLAND NOW LISTED AS THE BEST BEACH IN THE WORLD,
I’ll have to agree with that.
Thank you for sharing all of the beauty. I am making a list of the campgrounds for next year 😊
This one will always be on our list.

We have really love the Panhandle area this year. We will have to explore more of the Alabama coast. Thanks so much for following along.
What a beautiful scenery and a great spot to be at !!! Enjoyed your channel!! As always BS & BK & BC !!
My parents stayed there when I graduated from that school in the capital city.

It was just best water outing, we love being able to get off the boat and walk around the island and it made it more exciting for Maggie.
Every time I see you fishing I always say I want to see you catch something, yay you did!
Owen loves to fish, he doesn’t show it a lot because he doesn’t think anyone wants to see that. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful campground and private island! ❤️🐾
That was perfect! The island beach looked like a post card. Glad you are enjoying our state. Happy tails (especially Maggie) and safe travels.
Love your state, there are so many unique and beautiful places.
What a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome and thank you for watching.
Great video today. Maggie and the horseshoe crab...love her little paw checking things out!
Thanks, we appreciate you watching. I don’t think Maggie ever touched the crab… she was being very cautious.
I like it...I like it a lot. St George Island just moved to the top of the list for us. Wow that trip out to the island was awesome......Happy Trails 🐕
It was on of favorites on this trip and we hope to go back. I would put at the top of the list too.

Three sites is not ideal but it doesn’t take us long to move and we felt lucky to be able to stay here.
We’ll have to try the Owl next time. When you catch that first fish you never know if you are going to catch another so Owen usually lets it go.
Lilly loved meeting Maggie in person!❤

Hello, what a great video, I hope Maggie gets better soon, she seems to have enjoyed that trip, 🎉
Being able to get out the boat and walk around was what made it more exciting for Maggie and we love it as well.
Owen, you Lynn and Maggie are plenty exciting enough for us! ❤️

Great video guys! Looks like it was a wonderful trip. You are great about your willingness to switch sites, seems to pay off.
Being able to switch sites is the only way we are able to get into some of the State Parks and it’s really not that hard for us.

Maggie’s treatment and allergy meds helped her a lot. Thanks for the Canines and felines lesson.
St George Island is perfection. Apalachicola has lost the oyster harvesting which is very sad.
We totally agree… “perfection”.
Maggie is the most zen dog in the world. I can see she really into her life. Did you have a process of selecting her or was it just faith?
Do you have a review for those kayaks? A link?

What days are you at St. George Island? We were there in March at the ho hum rv park from the 12th to the 16th. We spent some time on the 15th.

Yup its the camouflage but I'm not sure what it is when me and my hubby experience that I don't own any camouflage lol😉
And yup we leave too !
It happens to us too even when Owen is not wearing camouflage.

We were on 29 and 19, two nites each.
