We used to stock silicone dosing tubing when Skimz was still in business, but don't have anything like that one the website currently. We most typically use the rigid 1/4" RO tubing for our DOS systems at the BRS office 🙂
I just bought 2 of these and waiting for them to arrive. Do you need to have it hooked up to an apex? I plan on using one for AWC which will be in my basement and the other I want next to the tank for dosing 2 part. I am using all the black friday deals to start switching to a more automated set up as I'm getting annoyed with lugging buckets up and down my stairs and I'm getting my 180 set up soon so definitely not doing that.
@@ThomasBReef yeah I ordered an apex a couple days ago. My plan was to put one in the basement and one by the tank. I'll just put both by the tank. So the suction on the does works just as well as if I pump it up? I will probably be going about 14 feet vertically
The DOS pump is so loud. I would prefer it in the garage with my water making station but how could I hook it up to the Apex from that far? I wish there was a wireless solution?
They do make extension cables, but depending on where your tank is located compared to the garage, that may or may not be a practical solution. If you're using it for auto water changes, my best advice would be to set it to run when you're not at home.
Hey Thomas!!
Heyo!
Thank you for sharing this with me. Very interesting and informative.
What is the type of silicone tubing you reference in this video?

I'm a noob, would the apex work with the Versa?
At this time, the Versa dosing pump is not Apex compatible. The Versa runs off it's own app, called Mobius

Automation is definitely a nice change, let me tell ya! Yes, you'll also need an Apex or Apex EL. :)
