Hi Anandu, Answer for 1st question When the ambient temperature reaches below minus degrees DEF will freeze, if there is no return pump system it will block all pipes even if we had a heater inside the tank, so the system will fail in extreme cold weather.
Answer for 2nd question There is no fuel injector in exhaust system, only DEF injector is there. DPF cleaning is done by raising engine RPM to particular level and the heat generated will burn soot particles inside the DPF. Thank you for posting your doubts. Keep supporting.

@@anandhunandhu6512 HC doser is not applicable for all vehicles, mainly used in trucks to attain high temperature in exhaust. In BS6 cars HC is doser is not there, only SCR system accompanied with DPF. For DPF regeneration fuel injectors are used to make exhaust hot enough to burn the soot particles. For onboard DPF regeneration some liquid activators are also using to enhance the regeneration. Hope you understand.
