HSS Stratocaster is Japanese design original to the Fender design in Japan. American designers missed that boat USA Fender must give credit when credit is due and Japan finished the Strat by adding a humbucker to a near perfect guitar already. This guitar proves there’s always room for improvement!
That finish is known as "Mercury".
I got the SSS verision of the Fender American Professional II Stratocaster.
I love the sound of the middle pickup...it sounds much better than on most other Strats I have played in the last decades.
Your internal library never ceases to amaze me sir. I imagine some giant cathedral full of old and new filing cabinets. Each loaded with leaf after leaf of music. Sounds good to say the least. Lookin forward to hearing ZILLA!

Look at what Leo Fender did with his pickup and the bolt on neck! Wow the best two things on the guitars he made and then he seen the rest follow his lead but Leo Fender was a humble fellow never making waves only hard at work making our lives better with live music! Leo Fender played but not the guitars he made and that is why Leo Fender is King of Guitars because he contributed more to making others happy and he never even play his own guitars.

I thought it would be what norm wanted but it is censorship. How do you highlight the mission for people to donate if norms blocks you. I’m glad to hear Norm is doing better 👍❤️ I have one of those but mine is the blue Dark Knight without the humbucker. It’s my favorite guitar. The rolled fingerboard is really great. Nice demo. Thanks. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵💕

Hello Norm, Michael, Jen & Co. Greetings from The Wirral, Merseyside, UK. We are the New Jersey to Liverpool's New York (The Coral, Boo Radley, OMD, Half Man Half Biscuit). Love the channel. I really like Michael's occasional nod to Robin Trower. Saw him in 1975 when I was 14, blew my mind. Keep up the good work.

Another great GOTD! Way to go, Lemmo! Really good-sounding Strat too. I would have liked to hear the coil-split on the humbucker, but ya can’t have everything, I guess! BTW, Fender calls that finish Mercury. Maybe you should have played a bit of Mercury Blues! Or Freddie Mercury…

I have the left handed version with a maple neck on its way now!! I'm a little late to the party lol I had to save some coins for a little while...and Lemmo, as always, your playing just makes me smile!
Only the lefties get the maple fretboard. The right handed ones do not. I checked with Fender. Lucky you!
