Thanks, but I already found your yt page and watched them. Manzer is really growing! I am glad that you never gave up finding out the problem and caring for him. He and his mother are beautiful; and I know the pain and worry involved in caring for sick baby animals. I am glad your's was a happy ending. :)
Brandy don't be mad at yourself, you didn't do anything wrong. Please you are one of the most caring horse owner's I have ever seen It isn't your fault.
Yes a most diligant, caring owner. Its just hard sometimes, multiple animals to share our attention plus life in general, so much a handful to keep up in take care of.., we second guess ourselves alot. We have to try take pause and look and listen to our hearts, an instinct guiding us rough turns all not as it should be. Glad everything is ok..happiest little guy on the mend.
Remembering you talking about how he is your most expensive horse I knew a video or more were coming but my tears fell just the same and agree with so many of the comments. To see him twitch and you in tears....I was in tears. I knew what you were fearing and we all at sometime blame ourselves about our furbabies. He is such a special gift and perfect. My heart is always with you...Love and Prayers for continued healing. 🐴💙🐎🐎🐎💙🐴
I burst into tears when he looked like he was having a seizure in the first minute. Amazing how much you fall in love with animals. I thought same as you, so glad Manzer didn't need to say good bye.
I cried along with you, even though I've seen his 3 month video, and knew that he would be okay. Manzer is a very special little guy, and it was hard to see him in pain. Thanks for sharing both the good & bad with all of us.
I had terrible pain from my ulcers - so bad I couldn't stand up. Those meds they're giving him are really the same they give to people - the same I take, and they work really really great!
Brandi you are the best horsey mom and please don't feel horrible you didn't know he was uncomfortable...Your vets are awesome, did you know vet suicide is very high. My nephew is a vet he brought this to every ones attention. The stress level is major in this type field. Bless your family, the sweet babies and horseys. Happy the baby is healthy!!!!
Thank God Manzer is better, You and Nika are such good Moms to this sweet little boy! Never blame yourself, look how well behaved he was for the vet! All of your great care and attention to Manzer has paid off. What a beautiful little boy. ❤️
Manzer will never forget the tender loving care that you showed him when he was hurting!! I enjoy your channel and one reason is because you truly love, honor and care for ALL your animals!! Blessings!
He's just like a human kid...they get sick out of nowhere, run high grade fevers, sick as you know what...but the moment you call a doctor (vet). Its as if they never were sick..he is the cutest thing..i love how well you treat your horses
Oh my, oh my! Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of this beautiful foals life. You’re so so good with all your animals, and you love and care for them. That’s the best you can do. Hope all goes well. 💐
From someone who's been there, if you need to continue with ulcer medication for a long period ask your vet for the generic Omeprazole. Its the active ingredient and so much less expensive than the name brand. Rooting for you & Manzer!
What a sweet sweet boy! I know not feeling well he’d be calm but he was so so good. It’s also so good to see a really caring owner. I really love how you list all the gear you use! Very helpful for many I’m sure With his temperament he’s going to make someone a great horse!!
I sure understand and share your concern and worry! Manzer seems subdued and listless, clearly not on top of his colt game! I remember the video when touching his withers caused a pain like response and spasm, as well as your comment that he was not running or playing much. Noting the date the video was done, not the published date, I’m comforted by the thought that this problem likely has passed and Manzer is on the mend. But it’s one worry after another with our beloved children as well as dear pets. I’m following this vlog with much interest and hope.
Brandy your heart is PURE GOLD🙌 PLEASE do NOT beat yourself up over this! Your an AMAZING HORSE OWNER and it shows with EVER VIDEO you post 🙏🙏🙏praying for Manzer💙
I had to come read the comments to watch the rest of this....he’s just so darling! I’m glad he’s ok! And both the colt and his mama are just gorgeous. And so is your stable. Boy, babies can be downright frightening! We always want to blame ourselves, and that goes for our human babies and our cats and our parrots and everyone that is under our care. Sending you a big hug! He made it! Yay!
Prayers going to you for Manzer. I pray it is a simple fix of Vitamin E and Selinium. Please keep us all updated on Manzer's condition. Best Regards and Prayers from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
@@VersatileHorsemanship Your very welcome. Foals can be so hard to take care of, especially in the first 3 months. You handled yourself and Manzer very well, all things considered. So please, don't beat yourself up over the decision of when to call the vet. I probably would have done the same. Best Regards from a friend in Ontario. Canada, Jenn.
I absolutely love you and the way you love your animals. I watch videos of abused and neglected animals and my blood pressure just goes sky high. You, on the other hand, are emotionally involved with them. Manzer is as much your baby as Nika's. Thank you for taking such good care of them and showing others how to care for theirs. 💖💖💖💖
So sad 😞 I cried a lot watching this. You shouldn’t blame yourself like that, you’re doing your best and we all can see how much you care about this little guy. Lots lots lots of love from Brazil ❤️
Oh Brandi when I read the title my heart dropped and I was crying seeing you cry, and worrying with you ,so so sorry. Heart back in place; he is being taken care of and with you guys😊. ( Thanks Josh and students) So so so very Happy ( I also had to look at date ,scared🤪 ) since I know hes ok now....😁👍😘
So happy there was nothing found that would warrant putting him down! It’s so hard when they get sick! I felt so sad for you when he was down and you were waiting for the vet. I’ve been there and it’s awful! I felt a little sick to my stomach doing the ‘oh no’ ‘ oh no’s’ in my head! Almost didn’t want to finish watching. It was nice to see the relief in you at the end as well! Best wishes for the little guy! Get some rest!
Aww, bless your heart for your worry about the baby boy. I was glad to know that he was already okay because I've watched recent videos. Thank God. What a huge worry to carry. Nika, his mom, was so worried too. He was so sweet for everybody. My friend who had raised a two-year-old horse from birth, had to put down recently because another horse had kicked him and it broke his hip. She was devastated.
I cried with you Brandie.....glad to know he is doing better! I pray that he is since that was so long ago and nothing else indicates future issues. At least that i what I am hoping. God bless you Manzer, and the people who love and support you!
This is when he was 6 weeks old. Look at the height of Manzer. It tells you in the description of when this was, which was on June 24th, 2019. Best Regards from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
thank you! I knew I had to post an update to prepare everyone for this. I stopped posting videos for a little while because I wasn't sure what was going to happen. All of the time that I dedicate to editing went right into caring for and stressing out over him.
Versatile Horsemanship That was very considerate of you! It was heartbreaking, seeing him just laying there, unable to get up. Poor little baby. I‘m so glad, you didn’t have to go through having him put down. You fall in love with them so quickly...
Your virtual extended family out here are with you guys, love you all and hope and pray for health and a full recovery ! 😯🐎❣ (pass the tissues please)💕
Oh it’s an old one! You got me for a minute... it months along and I know he’s fine now. Yeah it was a very bad time for you all. I feel your pain. You love him. We all love him💕!
After watching the video here, I wouldn't be very concerned. It looks to me that little fellow trust you a 100% and probably was liking the rubbing and contentment he was feeling from you. Especially after what you said about the vets assistant coming in. He got up a started eating. He is such a sweetheart! It's great that you care so much for him. This was good to watch.
Wow. Had to wipe my eyes and blow my nose. With your crying breaking my heart. I forgot to check the date of your video and now I know pretty Manzer is doing so much better. This one was an emotional rollercoaster. You did a great job Brandi. Manzer, Nika and your family are loved by a whole lot of people. When you hurt we hurt. Thanks Brandi for letting us experience this wonderful family. ❤🐎🐎🙏
Oh Brandi, none of this is your fault!! You are the most caring, loving, dedicated horse mommy I have ever seen! The Lord had been watching over little Manzer all this time, and in spite of his scary problems, he is going to be fine. He is a mirror image of Nika, I just love this baby!
I’m going through Manzer’s playlist and watching this for the second time. Maybe I can help in a little way. In humans and in horses, I’m sure, if anything catastrophic happens from a fall or traumatic event, like a broken bone etc, it will show up immediately. You said yourself that he was acting fine after the bucket incident, and that these “spasms” showed up over time after you noticed he didn’t seem to be as active as before. These symptoms all seem muscular in origin especially cause he was tender along the muscles of his upper back and lower neck. If he had any spinal injury, he would not be able to move his legs etc. Muscular pain doesn’t show up right away. The cycle goes--pain then muscle spasm then more pain then more spasm. If you’ve been in a significant car accident before, you don’t hurt so much the first day but by day 3, you’re really feeling it. So glad that’s what it turned out to be.
Ohmygosh... That must have been terrifying for you :( Knowing that he is okay today made it easier to see, but it still broke my heart to see that he was sick like that. Thank you for sharing...even the negatives... It is so educational!
OMG Brandy, you and your family went through some tough times with young Manzer, it broke my heart seeing you cry and blaming yourself for not calling the vet out, when he backed flipped. Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us all x
OMG 😭 that poor little guy. Even Nika looks concerned! I hope he feels better! PS thanks for making me cry Brandi! Lol it broke my heart to see him like that and you being so upset 💔. Glad it's nothing terrible! Send hugs
@@VersatileHorsemanship it's totally ok! I can't imagine 😥 but sometimes these things are part of our story. No matter good or bad. So brave for you to share with us how raw it was for both him and you.
prayers all up for youre sweet boy, and for you too. also for your family. the very very best to you and to your boys full recovery onto a wonderful life. stay strong, young strong lady ---- the very best to you too, its obviously true that you love Manzer.
I feel so sad for you with your suffering and worry. I am not a horse human but am sensitive to subtleties of behavior and communication and it is obvious how very much you have done RIGHT for this sensitive little foal. It seems astounding to me how collected Manzer was during his exam, and calm during his procedures. He has clearly been safely, lovingly handled and touched regularly by his humans. His bioMom seemed to be wanting to be closer in on the action towards the end, perhaps even getting a bit peeved at the barriers to her boy, but amazingly she too trusted in your care. Interesting that his bioMom did not seem all that concerned when he was down, but what do I know about either of them and their species. I only know a good human when I see one, and what I’m guessing is for now a sensitive if not “old soul” of a foal. Peace and trust be with you all. GoFundMe can help we cyberfollowers defray costs of expensive meds until Manzer settles and/or generics become available. Little bits add up. Hang in there dear Mama.
This was hard to watch as a viewer...can't even imagine what you and Jason were going through. So pleased he's doing better. Also, how amazing are you, Brandi, with all the work you have put in with Manzer. Hardly any signs of discomfort from him during his check-up. What a wee trooper. Tyfs x
Seeing the mommy look of worry made my heart sink.. I'm so thankful these wonderful animals have such a loving and doting owner. For lack of better words, you all are so lucky to have each other and the unconditional love is ever present as u can see with ur whole EnTiRe family.( Looks at u w momma eyes of concern) Try not to beat urself up as the others have said it doesn't do any good in moments u need to be clear headed. ( I mean the last statement w all the love n sincerity. ) You do everything for your animals/family alike and so much more. Ty ever so much for ur honesty w ur vlogs. Loves hugs and sqeushy stuffs from ours to urs.🤩😜😘🤗
Omg can't believe I was bawling at first but when I saw he was up I was so bloody relieved! Don't blame yourself just like our children foals can go downhill fast and bounce back just as fast. I would have thought the same as you and I've had hundreds of foals over 40 years. We just never know but we do the best we can. You ARE a great horse mama !!!
It’s so incredibly sweet how much that colt loves you Brandi! You’ve been through so much yet you know how to stay calm and keep your wits about you, so important in an emergency. It would have been so traumatic for all of us if he had been put to sleep., I’m actually a mess right now.
You are the sweetest most caring person, I’ve never met. God Bless you and thank you for loving everyone and every animal and sharing. I cried with you
Watching this was so hard, but thank you again for sharing. This has the potential to help so many horses, owners and vet students. I understand that you felt guilty about not contacting the vet sooner, but as little as this may mean to you, I imagine that I would have been in your shoes completely. I would have waited and kept him under observation just like you did - and I even have ulcers myself and know how painful they can get. You couldn't have known that he was heading acute. He might as well have recovered and been fine, and you were already treating him. Try not to be too hard on yourself. Ooh, I am so glad I have seen his three month update before viewing this one!
Omg! It seems like I personally know Manzer. I hope he’s going to be alright. I’ve become attached to him. Praying for you and for Mazer! Don’t second guess yourself. You can tell by looking at him he is well taken care of and much loved. Have faith.
He sure is a great little horse! I am so glad you have posted a video of him older than this and so I knew he was ok otherwise I don't think I would've gotten through this video - I can't imagine what you went through! Goodness - they do break your heart don't they?! X
Brandi, when I saw the title I was afraid to watch it for a little while. I sat here studying the picture trying to tell myself this was from a while back like you've been showing us his "babyhood", but I could tell he looked pretty big laying there. I didn't want to hear bad news and waited a bit before finally watching it.😪 I'm so thankful he managed to get up and that the x-ray didn't reveal a problem. If you have a chance to give us an update tomorrow we'd love to know how he's doing. Meanwhile, I will keep him in my prayers🙏.
I started crying when you did. I’ve been through the same thing. my mare was full of worms when I bought her. She had a horrible coat, she was always bloated, and I thought it was new feed, new place and I wormed her. She coliced and nearly died. I felt like the worst horse owner in the world. ♥️ I feel for you
Oh poor Manzer, you don't feel good. It was so good to see him up and eating hay. He was so good for his exam just like a trooper. Please keep us updated on little Manzer.
This lil boy sure is loving all the mothering and being loved on from both mommies but he is so precious!! Very relieved that he is pulling thru and his family is, too!!! XOXO, be strong lil Manzer!!
Poor baby☹️ you have had so many alerts with him, it must have been so worrying to see him in that condition. It is so heartbreaking to watch this drama, so hard to see him in pain. I'm so happy, as a video you posted much later shows, how well he was long after this episode hoping he is well today. I know how you felt thinking it was perhaps the end. I wish animals could tell us what their problem is when they are unwell. Thank you for sharing these sads moments.
I am so sorry to see go though this I pray everything well be ok with your baby I know you love him so much God bless you all and your family's and friends from Tucson Az
I appreciate you sharing the harder realities of your journey with Manzer, its beneficial for anyone thinking of breeding to see the risk as well as the reward involved.
@@VersatileHorsemanship I was relieved also!! When you started crying I lost it, I couldn't hold it back anymore. I loved the end of the video when he had his head on your shoulder, that was the sweetest thing I ever seen, he definitely loves you. I'll be praying that he feels better, give Manzer a hug & kiss from me 😘!
Aww 😟poor lil pumpkin xx he was so brave when the vet took his blood bless him.. even nika looks suprised an proud she seemed to look at camera "that's my brave boy!" . Hope the meds help 👍feel better lil man xx
Brandi you are the best mama he could ever have..bless your heart ...it's ok to cry...no one could love him more..you two have an incredible bond ...take care sweetie ...💜💜💜
Dear Brandi was in tears with you all the way. Please keep us informed on how Manzer is doing. On a lighter note one thing that makes me laugh is Nika is always eating in the videos lol must be her favourite past time lol. Love from Australia.
Man I know what that feeling is , one if my foals died because of worms he took a shot too big for him , and that feels like crap , stay strong for us little one but most importantly you need to stay strong
Oh my dears, how you must have been so scared and upset.....what we put ourselves through for our wee ones.....I am most humbled that you thought of us whilst you were undergoing such turmoil in your hearts....it was so good to see him on his feet again and taking his meds without a hassle....my thoughts and prayers are with your family tonight....much love from Scotland💞 I've just seen that this incident happened on the 24th of June!!....so we know that he is up and running about now.....phew....I still send your family my prayers....much love to you all...
that's a great question and I'm really not sure. I'm looking forward to my next chat with a vet as I have so many questions. Ulcers are terrible and the treatment is so expensive. So many horses have them and people dont even know. If I could afford it I would scope every one of my horses just for peace of mind.
Versatile Horsemanship the company Abbler makes AbPrazole it’s a compounded form of Omeprazole which is the active ingredient in Gastroguard. It’s darn near half the price for a full course of Gastroguard. Each packet treats 385 pounds for treatment and 770 pounds for prevention. You might want to look into the company and their products. The horse I treated with their AbPrazole had dramatic improvement in just a couple of days. Please look into it to be honest the mare herself looks to be a bit on edge and could probably benefit from the prevention dose especially with all the added stress of her baby being ill.
Just like humans, there can be several causes of ulcers. Some causes of ulcers are: stress, stomach infection H. Pylori or other "bugs", gastritis, etc. Some horses just naturally make too much acid just like some people. Some hernias can be a cause of ulcers. And laying down on one side is not good for the gut, and can help aggravate stomach inflammation/ulcers. In race horses diuretics can cause dehydration and ulcers. Some medications are notorious for causing ulcers and gastritis such as anti-inflammatory medications. Ulcers can really hurt and cause anemia if untreated. Even death if the ulcer perforates.

What a little sweetheart he is!
Oh sweet boy! Feel better! You're such a wonderful horse mom
OMG Brandy, you and your family went through some tough times with young Manzer, it broke my heart seeing you cry and blaming yourself for not calling the vet out, when he backed flipped. Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us all x
I so hope this little guy is okay. He is so special and his behavior is wonderful. God bless the little one. Prayer for little Manzer.
Sending lots of love and wishes for the little guy from the UK
thank you
OMG 😭 that poor little guy. Even Nika looks concerned! I hope he feels better! PS thanks for making me cry Brandi! Lol it broke my heart to see him like that and you being so upset 💔. Glad it's nothing terrible! Send hugs
Sorry! It was a tough one to edit. Absolutely heartbreaking
Manzer was a beautiful foal. I love that adult palamino too. Gorgeous horses!
Helen Lane thank you for the kind words
Have faith.
thank you
He was so good for the vet, especially the blood draw. I only had two foals and they were good for the vet, but not that good.
I knew he would be easy to handle but, not that easy! I was so proud of him for being such a trooper
He sure is a great little horse! I am so glad you have posted a video of him older than this and so I knew he was ok otherwise I don't think I would've gotten through this video - I can't imagine what you went through! Goodness - they do break your heart don't they?! X
Poor baby. I felt your pain/worry. So obvious how much you care and love him.
Amazing and painful. Thank you for the heads up before all this, I would have been in tears (nearly was anyway). 💜
So glad to know that he is doing better now!
Awww...your a good momma...you got help asap.. don't worry. I hope he's doing better. So sorry....
OMG! I am so sorry Brandi, my thoughts and love are with you, your family, Manzer, and his mum. I hope all goes well. xxx.
I appreciate you sharing the harder realities of your journey with Manzer, its beneficial for anyone thinking of breeding to see the risk as well as the reward involved.
OMG this is so heartbreaking to watch 😢😢😢😢!! I've been following since Nika was pregnant for him!!
My husband changed his clothes expecting to have to bury him. We were SO relieved!
Oh poor baby! He was shaking! He looks so scared. I am so sorry that this happened! I hope he’s doing better now.
This was heartbreaking to watch. Keep the faith your a wonderful person who truly loves her horses.
Love from Australia.
i made a mistake and did not read the description before i watched this and i was devastated. thank God he is alright.
Hope he feels better
I'm so happy he's ok, my prayers go out to you and the foal
Praying for him. I cried when I watched. Please keep us updated.
I'm a dog person and know very little about horses. How can such a young horse have ulcers? Please keep posting updates.
that's a great question and I'm really not sure.
Poor sweetie i hope he will be ok :( i was crying through this whole with you
thank you
Your welcome i got a soft spot for him he look like a sweet heart
He’s such a good little patient....
Poor little guy, hope he's on the mend. Wishing you all the very best.
I love how much this lady cares !! Such a sweet little colt I would be upset also !!! I hope he’s ok now !!!! I’m sorry you had to go threw this !!!
