It’s definitely about God. Especially considering it was a 2015 song. He was on his God stuff pretty strong then. Break both his and Britte’s lyrics down and you’ll see that he is singing to God. But like any good song you can interpret it your own way and it works. It’s definitely a relationship song, in his case relationship with God. Love NF.

Britt Nicole is a Contemporary Christian Artist. At the time that this song was released, they were signed by the same label. This is meant to be a cry out to God, though it can be interpreted in any way you see fit. Britt is a great artist in her own right. This song gets skipped a lot and not taken seriously. I appreciate your reaction. :)
I adore y'all! Love this song and your reaction to it. First song I ever heard NF in was a song called Start Over by Flame. It's a faith based song but it's really good and the video is visually interesting. NF only sings in that song no rapping. I didn't even know he was a rapper. He actually introduced me to rap and now I have an appreciation for this form of artistic expression. Thank you for being so entertaining as well as sincere in your reactions.
