Hi Tony - why do you use the pacerpole inside with the rubber ferrule upper most rather than the other way up with the handle in the roof and the spike in the ground?
Funny you ask 😄 in My Welsh trip to follow I have handle up lol I can't make up owm mind I think generally it's this.... older ts both cuben and original nylon I liked handle up. The newer ones the handle doesn't hold so well slips when pitching bit of a pain tbh so not sure why I do it occasionally 😅 bung on and up generally gives better grip traction. I don't like tip in ground because if need to move or adjust its a pita to move it when pitched tip in ground esp if need to retension internally. Hope that helps and thank you for asking A different handle like leki etc etc etc black diamond I'd bung on tip and tip down handle up. Probably but never really used those types in a shelter.
Thanks Tony - I’ve always had (pacerpoles) spike in the ground and handle in the roof (Silnylon ts) which works fine except when I need to reposition the pole which as you say is a pain 😅 so I’ll give the other method a go - cheers
@grahamevans-prosser6045 yes reposition absolutely a pain lol bung on and either way up seems OK I just found bung up easier . Pacer handles more tricky up sometimes. NOTE! Not all bungs are equal I noticed! Short stubby bungs better generally. Note in my ts wrecked video I had a bigger bung up inside (maybe a leki bung as maybe I bought it separately and looks like leki bung) they can move twist buckle under violent weather. It twisting bending is probably what bent tip. So pacer bungs better I think they smaller. Plus maybe in violent weather bung or tip down then if worst happens nothing iffy pointing up. That trip learned a few things lol

Ah yes thanks for the tip (😂 pun) ive got pacepole bungs which fit tightly so should be ok
