Gee, long time since I heard this -- thank you. Message is real everyday. "Straight out of the gate" - Freddie connects with purpose. For a shy guy, music was his messenger, the vehicle. That's behind his name choice of Mercury - messenger of the Gods! The other Queen gospel like song that comes to mind is LET ME LIVE. Freddie, Brian & Rodger share the vocals which makes it rather special.
Check out Mustapha. It is about the Muslim call to prayer Freddie overheard in India as a child in boarding school. I love that he mixes it with Jewish melodies from their traditional music. Such a smart band trying to show us all we are all people no matter what religion or color or creed. Queen had such variety!
One thing about Queen, they made songs for every mood you anticipated. This was off their final album with Freddie, he was very near the end of his life and I am sure going through a different aray of emotions. Like others have said the song Let Me Live is another gospel type song.
I LOVE this song so much, THANK YOU for this one! I hope you have on your list to react to the 20-minute mini documentary on the making of the song “ONE VISION”? I think you’d enjoy it/find it interesting !
Wow 🥰 beautiful sweet Freddie ❤️ I love Freddie's voice in the 70s😍 please react to seaside rendezvous 🤩 another wonderful song by Freddie Mercury in the 70s🤩
While none of Queen seemed to be very religious, they did several songs that have a spiritual side: Jesus, All God's People, the Miracle, Is this the world we created, the prophets song, etc..
This was meant to be on Freddies second album Btian did guitar on it But he ended up doing an album with montsarat and this track ended up being a Queen song
Last album within Freddie lifetime, he'd become quite reflective on the last couple of albums and with the music he left behind
Another Queen song along these lines is called “Jesus “ Do that one too boss. ✅

Hey .. Brian had a dream about the Great Flood .. he wrote a
masterpiece called THE PROPHETS SONG! Nods to Noah’s Ark.
Fun fact: Their guitarist Brian May is an astrophysicist and has an IQ of 180.
Hadn't heard this for many years. Thanks for reminding me of it!
A couple of Queen lyric videos to check out. It's Late, Cool Cat and Soul Brother. Phenomenal!!!

Do the prophet song
its not about church or christianity, the band didnt believe in man made religions.
Yes, it is not about any man made religion but about a connection to a higher power.
