    Could you guys do me a favor. I have to pause the live show throughout the work day and listen in between patients. I've noticed it's taken down a few hours after airing. Could you leave it on for 24 hours for people like me who can't listen through the whole thing in one go?

      This one is a premire so it won't be taken down. It acts just like a regular video.

      I got a question in the queue this week and had to drop for a meeting. I never found out if my question was answered because I came back and the video was down :(

      Hey, great question! When we livestream full episodes, it's like a preview of what's to come! It gets edited and released on an upcoming Friday, while the questions we answer get released as highlight clips. Our #AskTheMoneyGuy livestreams stay up! We make a note of whether that week's video will stay up or not in the weekly livestream announcement email. You can sign up for those email notifications in the footer of moneyguy.com!

      @@MoneyGuyShow oh I totally get that. I just like digesting it live. I realize it's beneficial to take it down so you can monetize those multiple videos. However, I was just curious if you could keep it up a bit longer for us who are just slightly behind live but trying to watch live as it just stops abruptly when it's taken down same day

    Ha! The Roth explanation is great. I've always joked with my kids about "the dad tax". Halloween candy? Dad tax. Eating dissert in front of dad? Dad tax.
    Learning to dodge the dad tax is a survival skill, and explaining the backdoor Roth that way would resonate well with my kids.

    Depends on the data used to train ChatGPT . I bet they used a lot of dialogue scraped off the internet (think articles and forums)- so basically it's a distilled version of the internet. If a good majority of articles out there say 'a prenup is a good idea depending your situation ' that's what ChatGPT will say.

    Backdoor Roth explained to a child would work better with two piggy banks and maybe saying "mommy and daddy will want some of the money back when you take it out" rather than taxes, but solid example for robot lol

    5:25 It should last forever and IF your mind is on the dissolution of the marriage you are contemplating then perhaps you might want to take more time to make sure this is the one you want to pledge yourself to until death do you part....

    If I told you that you have a 50% chance to have a a piano fall on your head if you go outside, would you? How about I say that percent increases if your spouse dropped a piano on a person before?
    To go into a marriage without an exit plan in case things fall through is fool hearty

    • @getinthespace7715
      @getinthespace7715 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends...
      If you have no assets going into the marriage why should it matter?
      Lol. I was literally "homeless" living in a camper, on a farm, after getting laid off in 2009, having the best summer of my entire life when I met my wife.
      We were both young and broke.
      What good is a prenup when we got married a couple years later?
      All our wealth has been accumulated together. Why shouldn't it just be split 50/50in the event of a divorce as is typical.

    With the increasing % of women going to college & getting paid more as they enter the workforce compared to men of similar age, I'd expect the view on prenups to do a complete 180. If more women have higher income and therefore are expected to pay child support & alimony when marriages fail, I'd expect the narrative to be that women need to protect themselves when they get married and therefore prenups would be seen as a positive. Or marriage rates would just continue to fall.

    • @getinthespace7715
      @getinthespace7715 ปีที่แล้ว

      Having a college degree isn't a 1:1 indicator of earning potential. There are lots of college degrees that are essentially worthless, and others that have terrible Return on Investment, for instance...
      Early Childhood Teachers, health and human services/social workers, arts and humanities, anthropology, the list goes on.
      Many of these career choices are pursued predominately by women but the pay is terrible.
      Vs
      Many men pursue work in the trades and make significantly more money while also requiring no college degree. Lots of small business formed in the trades making big bucks.
      Because of obscenely high costs of college it is becoming more of a liability than the asset it used to be.

  • @Lolatyou332
    @Lolatyou332 ปีที่แล้ว

    @5:00 can we stop this fallacy that you are setting yourself up for failure by getting a prenup? The marriage system already does that by itself, over 50% divorce rates with unfair practices to the men.
    I don't plan on getting injured but I still have health insurance.
