Mr. Ashwin Bawankar, Ex Wealth Manager, Engineer turned into a full time trader. He started full time trading since 2018 and then had ups and downs. He had lost almost 80% of the capital in March'20 during the COVID-19 fall of the market. He did not explain the details of strategy properly. There should be atleast couple of back test to show when the strategy worked and in what situation the strategy fails. If you want to help retail traders then more focus should be on the strategy. It looked like they both did this F2F video just for the sake of doing it. Please take this as a genuine feedback.

Vivek bhai, fellow is confusing.
He is doing strangle both weekly and monthly. But while explaining he says straddle. Such a basic thing is not understood by him, does he really making money?

It's confusing because Vivek ji interrupted this time in his PPT😂. He never showed the complete PPT he brought. Anyways after watching video twice.. found that concept is very simple. Here it is in short:
You sell weekly ATM straddle e.g. 44000 CE n PE and buy 500 pts away monthly e.g. 43500 PE n 44500 CE as safety.
Adjustment(rolling up/down of profitable side) required on every 500 pts move.
SL 4% i.e. 3000
Book pft 2% i.e. 1500.
And most important... Dimaag nahi lagana sirf rule follow karna hai.
Have done calendars so can say with experience it's the easiest form of eating theta like Pac-Man
Kindly clarify rolling up /down profitable side please. I.e If Market is down by 500 points to 43500, then what I am supposed to shift, weekly short 44000 PE to Short 43500 PE or shift weekly short 44000 CE to weekly short 43500 CE. and also what to do with monthly long 43500 pe to 43000 pe or 44500 Ce to 44000 ce.

IN this video there are two sets of strategies explained
(weekly straddle , monthly buy and
Strangle short). at what scenarios we have to use these both
Kindly explain the strangle short method as well.
Clarification on weekly straddel as below:
1. Do we initiate straddle only during 500 points round figure? what will be straddle strike price and monthly hedge price to choose if the spot is 43750 or 44250?
2. As per the video, We need to initiate trade only on tuesday and close it by thursday and hence there are totally 3 sets of trades in a month and no trades on last week. Pls confirm that my understanding is correct.
3. If my above understanding is correct, then we need to initiate for the trade only during 500 points or 250 points spot price on tuesdays, pls clarify.

@elearnmarkets good informative video but a little confusion in adjustment part. After deploying the strategy if market falls by 500 pts then we need to bring CE closer by 500 points or we need to shift PE backwards by 500 points ? Hope you please clarify the confusion

How come calender would be useful in falling vix environment like after covid..? And it looks impossible to get such huge returns with option selling...
Question: if u have adjusted this week. Then for next week say BN is 500 points up n u take new straddle. Do u sell monthly hedge n buy new one or continue with older one?
Your long positions also form cross strangle so some adjustments must have gone in?

Most of trader do strangle selling 15-20rs and having capitals in crores...
Getting 0.5% returns shows a big profit
one more doubt why to buy monthly option at wings and why not at atm strike?
How about liquidity of monthly options… the buy sell spread is often wide causing high slippage

Pls clarify one doubt. Suppose you have initiated this strategy on 1st June. Now if you squared off weekly expiry on Wednesday or Thursday and take next weekly expiry on Monday or Tuesday, do you leave your buy hedge as it is?
Yes, you need to square off both side buying position and re-build as per Monday straddle (Credit spread)
Confused we have to change profitable leg or loss making leg into inverted strangle? And to what extend 1000 points (2 times 500) or it can be upto 2000 points (4 times 500).

If 3-4℅ loss as MTM, do not do any adjustment, if 2℅ profit close the strategy.. If market crosses 1000 points, 4℅ loss hit.. No adjustment required..

Calander spread is very risky if you don't have extra capital to adjust your position. I have lost lots of money just in calander spread positional
