I tried the Versace platform and I am 5"5. I think they are amazing. I didn't purchase them because I felt self conscious. If I was a bit younger I would definitely buy them. Im middle aged so I thought maybe not so appropriate for me :o) I totally agree about the man in Birkenstocks. I am not a fan of a man in flip flops. I am so happy you mentioned how we are all different. I think that is so important to note with todays climate in the world.
