_"There's no such thing as a dead baby rabbit that's cold there's only dead baby rabbits that are warm."_ I don't get it... Can you explain that statement in more detail?
Basically, if a rabbit fell out of the nest box and is cold, you can often save it by warming it up. Now if it's frozen solid that's a different story. But often they will seem dead, and they survive if you warm them up.
@@westmeadowrabbits Okay... I get the first part - you don't want to write off a cold baby rabbit as being dead until you've tried to warm it, but what about the second part? Why would dead baby rabbits be warm? Because you warmed it in order to verify that it's dead?
@@Confoil Yes exactly. There's lots of stories of people and animals seeming dead and frozen but once you warm them up they recover and seem to come back to life. So if an animal is frozen and looks dead it might still come back to life. But if an animal has been warmed up and still looks dead then it's dead for real. Like when you're frozen you won't stink but once you warm up the body and it thaws and starts to smell bad then you'll also know it's dead but if it doesn't smell and starts to breath it might be alive

Just getting started with Meat rabbits!
Thanks so much! Good luck!
Superb
How do you get them to be so variated in colour?
It all depends on the breed and variety, but generally speaking, crossing whites with a colored rabbit will give you a lot of surprises.
@@westmeadowrabbits ohh alright thank you very much
Great videos, new subscriber here
Thank you and welcome!
Nice
I lost 4 baby rabbits after 30days old. Any reason.
We had some die and the only thing we can think is neighbors dog came over and scared them to death and also traveling they don’t do well
Too hot or cold. We have heat issues in Florida.
I'm so sorry. We lost two recently.
