Wellll… technically in The Lion King, scar *was* played by a British actor and mufasa was an American voice. 🤷🏻♀️ So I dunno if that’s what they were going for, but just something people have noticed and also remarked on. I do agree about at first being annoyed they aren’t biological bros, but then thinking about it, you realize there is still a lot history to be had there. For example, we see scars mother trying to save mufasa by telling him to run, before being attacked by a white lion.. if she dies saving mufasa? Scar gon be super pissed from that alone. Let alone the fact that it looks like mufasa basically steals the throne from him lol. Now, in the wild, power would certainly go to the more dominant male so maybe they add something like that showing scar doesn’t quite have what it takes even though its his by right. Just thinking out loud, but I’m hoping we get something close to that to make it believable. Because my thing is, by the end, I need to believe scar will have it in him to kill his brother. Blood or not, the audience knows how it ends for these two and we have to believe scar is capable of it. Then it just makes that backstory all the sadder. 😢
