Thanks NatterNet. In my humble opinion, Big Buckethead managed to divide the music world between then and now.
He is the most complex and prolific artist mankind has ever heard of.
Despite appearances, none of the records appeared by chance, but appeared as a consequence of the state of mind of this musical genius. Buckethead isn't interested in producing dozens, hundreds or thousands of albums.
Buckethead's philosophy is communication through sound in all its forms. Buckethead always wants and succeeds in conveying moods, emotions, worries, pleasure, pain, love, but never hatred or enmity, because he is a born pacifist. It's very hard to keep up with Buckethead, who is always surprising. This is Buckethead's chosen mode of communication and I personally thank him from the bottom of my heart for everything he conveys through his creations.🙏 ...and, WOO!!🤘

Buckethead is TOTALLY interested in producing thousands of records. Why would buckethead release 4 albums in December and 3 more so far in January. Buckethead should be close to thousand I’m not sure.

@@dannyhood4007 If my memory serves me right, I believe that in January 2024, Buckethead released at least 7 more albums (627-634). Each album of the 634 albums produced so far, each one is a new way, a new form of communication. This is how Buckethead expresses itself and communicates with us. What you are saying is as if you set out to make up new words all the time, every day, just to show that you made up the most words, compared to the rest of the world, even though you didn't set out to make up 1000 words. . Try mentally replacing the notion of "word/idea" with "musical album" and you'll see what I mean.

Bucket is a natural born shredder. Everyone can agree. Only thing that matters is he brings so much through his music to everyone, and will never get enough in return nor likely expect anything in return either.
He's the Martin Luther king of music and people can only chase his dream, place down in words what they think it does mean. 🎶

I bought this just after released because I intuitively felt something exceptional. Listen to this masterpiece daily more times. On first listenings it looks insane, chaotic, disharmonic. But for me - after many repeatedly listenings it started to create harmonic solid feel which I started to be totally addicted to. Couldn't event think something like this can happen.
It's composed the way that I can not get bored of it and still want to listen again and again. Man, that's experience....
My next favourite pike is Journey to Atlantis.
Thanks Natter that you upload it here to discover the beauty and to know what I'm buying then. I stay tuned

Good Evening 👋🏻 NatterNet 🪄 it’s 12:09 am in B.C. Canada 🇨🇦 where I live and I’m only 2 minutes into this new Pike, very nice. I see there’s a few more new Pikes as well dropping tonight. As usual… perfect 👌🏻 timing 😊 I can always use some new Buckethead music ! I can’t even begin to explain how much I love his music! He has forever changed my life for the better and I’ve been playing guitar for 38 years now. He has managed to make me look at my own playing in whole new ways that I never even thought of before hearing him years ago and even made me a way better guitarist as well. Sometimes I try and play exactly what he’s playing ( the key word being “try” 😄 sometimes I can get it right away by ear if it’s not really crazy, 🤔other tracks like say… Claymation Courtyard with the hybrid picking will definitely take a lot more work to get even remotely close ! ( Mostly Buckethead has it nailed down 😮👍🏻 if you’ve never heard him play it yet, Definitely check out his cover version on TH-cam it Kicks Ass! 🤟🏻and he’s a great guy ! 🙂) and other times if I can’t get it right away while I work on it I just jam alongside him playing something that fits note wise playing a rhythm guitar part as if I was recording a song with him. It’s super fun either way. 😊 He is unlike any other guitarist out there. He really can do it all , an entirely new universe of insane guitar playing … i live to hear him play ! I find I need to listen to his solo Pikes for at least a few hours or even way more everyday and I am only continually more blown away than ever all the time. Through his guitar playing he is able to take my mind to an incredible place called Bucketheadland and i never want to leave. I always have new amazing music to look forward to all the time. Endless Thank You’s
for all the incredible music over the years Buckethead ! I always look forward to what you’ll do next. The best part is… I have no idea exactly what it will sound like when I first hear a new Pike as your creativity , imagination and guitar 🎸 playing has no limits . I love ❤️ You and Your solo music beyond measure! You Rule !

Good day BC bro 🤟🏻🙂👍🏻 hope you are having a great day. This latest batch of Pikes is a pretty good mix up of styles I’m digging them all quite a bit! 👍🏻 You’re welcome for the kind words! 🙂 i really do love your playing and that Claymation Courtyard is definitely a very tricky track ! Just like you described it was exactly the same for me as well… when I first heard it I was like 🤔 how in the hell is he getting that crazy double guitar sound but obviously on different strings at the same time? Pretty sure that’s not a delay pedal / echo / reverb / octave etc , there’s something else kinda tricky he’s doing there. Gonna take a good long while to figure that out… 😄and I never did for a couple of years until I saw you play it and looked micro close at the technique he must have used ! as your cover sounds awesome! By far the closest I’ve ever heard Anyone do it ! Very Nice ! 🤟🏻 and thanks for the explanation of what he’s doing and whether it actually was hybrid picking etc ! I thought it might be but I confess I really had no idea for sure😄 I’ve heard the term here and there but had no idea how to apply it , or even what it actually sounds like. Thanks for the help with playing his music offer, I may have to take you up on that sometime in the future! 😄 Every time i listen to Claymation Courtyard I have to listen to that specific part about 10 times in a row as I just love how it sounds ! 😮 and I’ve never heard anyone else play that specific type of sound using that style. I know he’s not using it in exactly the same style / way most people do but isn’t the hybrid picking thing a blues / bluegrass /occasional country guitar technique / trick ? I just find it’s a mesmerizing sound I can’t get out of my head ! I could put it on a loop and listen to it for days ! 😄 I Definitely hope he does a live show in Vancouver 🇨🇦 in the future 🤞🏼that would be really cool. I did get to see him as special guest band member with Primus in 1999 at Ozzfest Vancouver, Thunderbird outdoor stadium 🏟️ original 4 member of Black Sabbath 1st time reunion! That show was 100% insane! 🤪 Ozzy , Toni , Geezer and Bill absolutely Rocked ! That’s the single #1 greatest concert I’ve ever seen to this day ! You just knew it was something truly special to witness and the crowd went crazy ! What a cool oldschool metal vibe that was ! so many wicked artists played that day it was totally mental! ( even Slipknot on 2nd stage- 6 weeks before their 1st album released. Even then you could tell they were going to be a huge new band !) That was definitely the first time I ever heard of or saw Buckethead , he was amazing on a guitar even back then. We were all blown away by his playing. We knew about Primus and obviously Les Claypool knows genius talent when he sees / hears it ! ( I’m sure he was blown 🤯 away just like the rest of us 😄) but almost no one around us knew who he was at the time, but to be fair even at this point in time, we still don’t know much except his real name ! 😄 I’d absolutely love to meet him someday… but for now I will just have to be content with his incredible music as that is largely generated by his mind and unique personality so it’s kind of like knowing who he is because he puts everything he has and is into his music.
That alone says a lot without having to say a word. Judging off the Buckethead Speaks interview ( pretty damn sure that’s actually him ! Unlike most of the pictures of the French guitarist that everyone seems to think are BH ! ) and as far as I know its the only interview I’ve ever heard him do just as Brian Carroll the real life person talking about himself, health, back and heart troubles etc. and just the Buckethead persona itself and why he decided to do it that way ( wanting to not worry so much and just be in the flow state performing without all the anxiety, stage fright etc. ) such a truly great interview. I hope he considers doing a new one in the future with the same guy ! It was definitely cool to hear what he has to say about it all and get some insight from 🪣 the man himself! It certainly was extremely interesting and very well done! I must have listened to that video at least 25 times now! 😄 ) he’s such a mysterious, interesting yet kind friendly person in real life
I still think it would be a very special really fun thing to just hang out with him just as Brian the regular guy for the weekend after a live show and just nerd out playing guitars for a few days not thinking about much else besides having a few laughs and watching movies or whatever he feels like doing.
So cool that even Buckethead himself recognized The Mexican guitarist Oscar Lopez out in the crowd at his live show a few years back that did a couple of BH songs live at 2 different shows a year apart on stage with Buckethead was so awesome to see ( another reveal at what kind of person Brian the man himself is truly like in real life 👍🏻 😊) All I can say is congratulations 🎉! I couldn’t be happier for Oscar ! That guy Is someone who truly deserved that meet and greet as well as the stage shred session! He’s a very talented, kind and respectful person himself and is obviously a massive fan who has put in an unbelievable level of effort into playing Buckethead’s music !… that dude can play ! 🤟🏻

Agreed, theres been some very good ones over the last few years (this too is a good one) but the Pikes pre-2018 were light years better in quality, production and song writing. I think he's currently just enjoying clicking record, jamming for 30mins and moving on to the next, and there's nothing wrong with that at all and fans shouldn't be blasted or scoffed at for having that opinion like I've seen them get elsewhere.

@@NatterNet Language of the Mosaics, Dr Lorca's Work, Treehouse Backwards in Time, Journaling to Bliss. Those 4 are surely up there as compositions. I think ones like Sprinkle Tree Glow and Rays of the Magic Lantern are real growers, and bring something different. Going a bit further back - but still post-2018, Cosmic Oven, The Sea Remembers its Own, Through the Looking Garden, Arboretum, Dreams Remembered Version 2 easily hold their own with the older Pikes, no? I agree there are fewer, but I think there are still several. That said, my two current all-time favourite Pikes are Buildor and Rooms of Illusions, which I think are masterworks. (I also think some of the calmer ambient ones of the last 12 months really do reward repeat listens.)

    • @NatterNet
      @NatterNet  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@@VenLon Some solid ones mentioned for sure, I dunno, maybe I just have a fondness for the older stuff. Like Rooms of Illusions, thats an all timer for me too, nothing recent feels remotely close to that tbh. I think im more prone to liking his shorter tracks too/ or tracks that are split into pieces (like Illusions), and so many over the last 4 years or so have been 1 track 30min ones that feel like they were 5 minute tracks extended to make a 30 min pike, a lot with backing tracks that don't elevate the song at all. If I had to guess, I'd say Dan Monti is either no longer co-producing the albums or has scaled back his involvement significantly. Something definitely feels like its changed. Still, this pike will be getting repeat listens, so will 634, so let the rollercoaster keep on rollin long live the
