    Agree on tencel - it's my favorite for tops and bottoms, feels and looks so luxurious but strong. I dye natural fiber fabrics and it takes dye like a dream. I enjoyed this video, thank you!

    Thank you for this video! I am starting my sewing journey and have made a couple of tops from quilting cotton, but I was looking to learn more about fabric selection before investing in my next project. This is exactly what I was looking for and has great explanations!

    This was an awesome video. Very helpful too. You have and extensive knowledge of fabrics and how they are woven and I found that so interesting. I'm glad you included quilting cotton. I have made a couple of tops out of it and I love how they look and feel. And yes, it is very easy to sew with. Thank you for sharing your tips!

      I would use either silk or a lightweight cotton depending on how the handkerchief is going to be used.

      It's probably a cotton knit fabric like cotton jersey or cotton interlock
