Her dad is actually African-Jamaican. His parents migrated to Jamaica from Africa. Her mother was from India. They met in Jamaica in a “black studies course” even though the mother wasn’t black. The father had a British upbringing in school while in Jamaica, because at the time the UK was in control.
They were both psychologists of some sort.
They raised a joke of a daughter who got everything she wanted by playing(?) dumb, sitting on her knees, and laying on her back.
