Pretty cool! I hope my son (17 months old right now) enjoys fishing and respects the fish like most of us do. I think I just saw this same spot in a video with taku and Jordan recently!
It takes patience teaching them, but it's worth it! Taku and Jordan spent the weekend out here. They had a good time and it was cool hanging out with them. Thank you for watching
That looks like a lot of fun!!! I am going to have to try beads for kings here in Juneau Alaska! We can use eggs when they allow us to harvest hatchery kings. I usually don’t use a bobber and I do better than everyone else and they get a little confused on my method. I have been doing it for 30 plus years, so I have it down. But that bead fishing looks like fun and not near as messy!
Sweet video guys. I just landed your channel. I went to the Pulaski this past weekend and saw a handful running but only hooked and landed one. Keep rippin lips
Wow this is such an awesome video, I don't think I've ever seen anyone slay one King after another like this, I'm gonna have to try those beads next year! I'm in Southeast Alaska. Can I ask what size hook you are using?
Awesome bead fishing! I live at the mouth of a similar stream/river in Puget Sound where the kings school up like this in tide water. I will be trying beads this year. Do you happen to know exactly what color and size BNR beads you used here? Looks like Mottled Natural color in 20-25mm size? Were they solid color or mixed with white? Hard to tell from video. Thanks for any tips!
@@fathersonoutdoors8049 Bro! Thank you so much for the quick reply. I will order a couple different colors. This is game changing for me! The beads will keep the bait fish off the line and are the reason I can't use eggs. The dudes snagging fish are going to lose their minds when they see me catch them with bouncy balls. haha
@YoDawgUnleashed the reason I tried beads is because everyone around me started using eggs because I was doing go with them, the eggs bite shut off so I threw the bead
Tip : never force in the fish while the fish is pulling away. 1 : the hook will rip off from the fishes mouth 2 : your line will tend to break. But nice video
It's amazing that they like beads, but your hook isn't anywhere near it. How do you manage to get them to bite the hook? Also, I'm kind of confused, are you hooking all those kings in your backyard?
The hook sinks into the fish on the hook set. If you were to have the hook right snug to the bead you'd miss a lot of bites. And this is my father's backyard. The place i grew up at. Thank you for watching 😊
Most of these fish are “lined” in the mouth. If that first fish he hooked hit the bead, why didn’t the bead slide down to the hook? Wearing these fish out should be criminal. Having the bead pegged up the line for steelhead makes it so the fish doesnt swallow the hook. Here…it sure looks like a pile of darkies…leave them alone….are milling around opening and closing their mouths as they BREATHE. Easlily lined. The bead or hook just end up in their mouths..or somewhere else. The water is clear. These fish aren’t HOT on this sucker. They have no where else to go and with the ripping every cast, they move around more, making it easier to have amazing action on fish that aren’t biting and should be left alone. You don’t get a “bite” every cast in poor fishing conditions…reeling while the fish is running? Clueless.
It's my parents property. They have some yurts they rent out, majority of the people on the bank were guests that were renting them. But we are nice people lol. Thank you for watching 😊
My parents own the land we fish on. They were allowing people to fish here, but some of the people were leaving a mess, fish guts, tackle wrappers etc. So they only allow people they know and family. But every hole on the river is full just like this.
@@fathersonoutdoors8049 Thank you. I go up to Neah Bay a couple days a year to hike Shi Shi and do some fishing on the boom for rockfish/lings. I totally understand that strangers just do not respect other people's property when left unsupervised.
