    This might be the most well made rotation guide I've seen in GW2, let alone any game probably. Thank you so much for this. I've decided I wanna dedicate myself to mastering Weaver, whether it's top dps or not. It looks insanely cool and the fantasy with Perfect Weave making you the "ultimate being" makes me completely nerd out.

      Hey thanks for watching and I'm glad more people are trying the Weaver! A little pro tip: Try changing your F1-F5 skill binds to be more reachable for your fingers. Mine is set to Alt+ 1,2,3,4 and my F5 is set to mouse 3 key so I'll use my thumb to hold Alt key and any free finger to press the number keys. It is much better than reaching all the way for the F1-5 keys.

    Incredible guide, this helps my condition Weaver so much more. I've been dipping too much into Water and sometimes Earth too much (just for the cool factor), killing my effectiveness. What I learned here is that Fire Aura offers so much protection I thought I was getting better through Water (healing) and Earth (resistance). Subbed!

    I'm staring at the cheat sheet you made and having it just laid out in a flowchart like that makes it so much simpler, knowing that the fire aura juggling portion of the rotation is really just 2 fire, earth, 2 fire, air, 2 fire, earth, really makes it so much easier to remember so now I've really just gotta worry about the actual skill priorities then I can move onto learning the openers / situationals

    Thanks so much for this video guide. Been playing condi weaver for a while now, but really had no idea about keeping up the fire aura. This is by far the best guide/video explanation I've seen. I love weaver, always drawn to the "mage" class, but I do struggle with ele/weaver in a lot of story instance content. This has been by far the most durable build for me, was excited when POF came out and ele got sword.

      Hey thanks for checking out the video! I currently have no plans on making builds on other classes reason being I'm not too knowledgeable about them. I don't want to half-bake a guide video with a ton of errors because I'm no good at those classes. I'm only comfortable with making videos on the classes I play: Necromancer, Elementalist, and Warrior. Once the next Expansion comes out I do play on making guides for all the new potential builds that interest me.

    • @silkyonyen9223
      @silkyonyen9223  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey sorry but I don't have any plans on making a video guide on Power Weaver. From my own experience Power Weaver is more simple to master. All you really need to do is Begin in Air/Fire then switch into Air/Air to proc Elements of Rage at the beginning of a fight. Just rotate between Air/Air-Fire/Air-Fire/Fire-Air/Fire and loop back into Air/Air. Power Weaver is more reliant on teammates providing you boons because you'll be squishy and might not be able to pull off a full cycle on tough enemies. Power Weaver is tough to pull off as a solo class. Some builds will have Fire Greatsword for the Elite Skill but that is only really useful if you have boons like quickness on you.
      When I play Power Weaver I go for Glyph of Elemental Harmony for my heal, Arcane Blast, Arcane Shield, Glyph of Storms, and Glyph of Elementals. I begin a fight by proccing Elements of Rage trait, casting Glyph of Storms (Air) then doing my regular rotation. Use all your 1-2-3 skills during each element swap and try to finish Air Auto Chain. Pop Arcane Blast to finish off enemies and Arcane Shield for Stunbreak and to block hard hits. For my Elemental Summon I use Fire Elemental. I hope this helps.
      Tip: If you have Auto Attack on, your auto's will finish on whichever the element it was initially started in. For example if I start an auto attack chain in Air but switch into Fire without actually completing it, the auto attack feature will actually finish off the Air Auto Attacks even though Fire is my primary Element. You can use this tip to swap into different Elements without having to linger to finish your autos. Here's a quick example I made on my Imgur: imgur.com/gallery/QtFocCi I hope this message finds you well!

  • @madmagus7693
    @madmagus7693 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question: Your perfect weave example has extra steps to reach perfect weave. Are your decisions based on keeping fire aura up rather than more quickly reaching perfect weave? Just trying to understand the logic. Thanks

    • @silkyonyen9223
      @silkyonyen9223  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you've practiced enough perfect weaving you can tell when the timer will expire. Usually I try to squeeze in another element swap before hitting perfect weave. I try to delay Perfect Weave until the last second but if you are just learning it's best to hit the Perfect Weave following all the standard steps.

    Hey there, very nice video.Can i ask something?You said elementalist can't switch weapon in combat.Whats the point of having Superior Sigil Of Cleansing on the sword?Does it trigger somehow?

    • @wanya6046
      @wanya6046 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it triggers when you swap the Fx skills

    • @electr0n884
      @electr0n884 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sigil mechanic triggers whenever your skills change, the only exceptions being tonics and transformations. So, Engineer kits, picking up banners, entering necromancer shroud, druid celestial avatar, engineer photon forge, swapping rev legends and swapping elementalist attunements trigger the sigil. Just keep in mind the cd.

    • @gailbrookhart1777
      @gailbrookhart1777 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any time you swap attunements (Fire, Water, Air, Earth) is procced as a weapon swap for an Elementalist. Still useful to have that Sigil in a condition heavy environment since that's a condi cleanse on 9 sec cooldown. Many skills for condi cleanse have a much longer cooldown, e.g., the Cleansing Fire utility for Elementalist has a 40 second cooldown. And, since Ele swaps attunement reasonably often, that frees a utility slot for a different use.

    • @baddlyghost5509
      @baddlyghost5509 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh i see.So indeed it triggers on element switch.Thats very good to know.Thanks guys for the info :)

    I should've just played warrior... jkjk haha i love my weaver - awesome guide tyvm!
    also i just bought Dire exotics today because i was following the forum guide - is trailblazers absolutely necessary to switch to or just keep the dire? my ascended pieces are zerkers too so i just took those off for open world

    • @silkyonyen9223
      @silkyonyen9223  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there, Trailblazers is necessary for Solo Open World Condition Weaver because it comes with a stat called Expertise. Expertise increases Condition Duration and Condition Weaver's main condition damage is Burning. If you manage to stack burning you'll do crazy damage and as you can imagine Expertise is a major factor in doing so. Dire is a cheap alternative but will not have the same damage potential as Trailblazers.
      Think of it like this: Expertise + Condition damage if you are going for a Condition build and Precision + Power + Ferocity if you are going for a power build.

    • @stanleysurjanto5572
      @stanleysurjanto5572 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@silkyonyen9223 ahh okay that makes a lot of sense! Unfortunately trailblazers are so expensive in the TP right now at like 10g a piece so that's why I settled for Dire...
      so i guess my other question is
      should i be working towards Trailblazer ascended then? or just save money to buy exotic variant for open world
      and work on Vipers ascended for big group end game content where I'll have a healer? - currently there's also a Snowcrows hybrid weaver Grieving ascended build as well that seems to be a mix of power and condi
      Currently my only ascended pieces are all zerks trinkets, scepter (power tempest), and chest + assassin's shoulders (I was really working towards the full zerks set, but I can't do open world/play the story at all with it...)
      sorry I'm just getting major overwhelmed right now hahaha so much more complicated than building Zojjas ____ zerk gear.
      Thanks so much

Would it be worth learning both for variety? Also, can you use this Trailblazers build in fractals or will the toughness mess up aggro?

    One question about fire aura juggle rotation - there is difference in what you press and what describe regarding when you use fire focus5 and when you leave to expire. I am struggling with this ability the most (when it goes off cd and when it don't). Is there a rule of thumb on when I should blast my fire aura with fire focus5? Sometimes it expires on it's own, fire focus 5 have like 1 sec cd and fire focus4 has like 1.5 sec cd and I am confused on what I should use. Thank you

    • @silkyonyen9223
      @silkyonyen9223  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Dire set won't be as good as Trailblazers. You'll need Expertise (condition duration) to properly stack Burning. Burn stacks in intensity and deals crazy damage when it reaches high stacks. With little to no Expertise, it will be hard to stack up Burning.

    • @silkyonyen9223

      Sorry for the late response. For solo play it's always much better when using Focus offhand. Better meaning it provides more defenses in the form of condition cleanse, invulnerability, projectile block, etc. Warhorn off hand is also much easier to learn because it does not have as many skills that lock you into a specific animation window before it ends. With dagger offhand you can deal a bit more damage in exchange for defense. It's more complex but you can make it work if you are comfortable with the skillset.
