@@latifahgordeeva6198 It mean it wasn't a criminal investigation so her putting her finger in it didn't matter all that much. It was from a curiosity stand point and she wasn't being legally attacked. It was a really bad over reaction on her part.

@@Greenbean144 Marketing. She displayed great marketing skills. She managed to create a need for a nothing product. Despite multiple flaws in both the product and its creator, she had people rooting for its success. We're still talking about it 2 years later. Do you know how many products/businesses fail in complete obscurity ? Marketing is not enough to make a product, let alone sustain a business, but it's not nothing.
@@Greenbean144 I don't care for the woman, and I find the entire situation hilarious, but there's some talent here... The ability to make the sauce regardless of how good or bad people think it tastes is impressive... And she does know how to market herself... Her attitude and ignorance were her undoing.
@@MsKoikI genuinely believe the marketing miracle was of the same kind that sheltered her from any lawsuits: either a complete coincidence or God's work.
Her skill and talent was being an Internet personality and “selling her brand” she’s no chef. Anyone can call themselves that, doesn’t mean they’re good or talented. If that’s so then that lady in all the “everybody is so creative!” Videos is too.(blonde lady that makes boiled chicken and watery Alfredo)
That lady saved her bought awareness to the product. If she kept making that stuff and killed someone. That's how you know that girl ain't wrapped too tight she didn't care about anyones health or that she was making biohazard.
Who would think that ANYTHING bad would happen from buying sauce from a woman dressed like a stripper in a cheap nightclub in Atlanta? Titties hanging out. Borderline porn behavior with licking sauce. So bad for so many reasons. I get it was "genius" marketing bc sex sells but my goodness....
uh huh, and the IRS will bytch slap her back into yesterday for failing to pay taxes. Al Capone murdered people, ran a criminal syndicate. He got away with ALL of that. He didn't pay taxes and got tapped *for that*
I admit I like sauces but she was charging $20 a bottle. Her issues were she was being stupid. She could have made money just be being quiet. She said she was a chef and was catering and how did she not know what the FDA is when you were making food
Obviously she had no understanding of budgeting but she also just stopped marketing the sauce and putting effort into the business after Dave's Gourmet stepped in, which, accompanied with her behaviour is what truly drove the business into the ground.
Giving a bunch of money to someone who has never had money before is like pouring water into a bucket full of holes. No matter how much you pour in the bucket will never be full. Only by getting rich slowly can you learn how to stay rich.
Honestly, the problem is her. She had a golden ticket but didn’t even put enough effort into it to take advantage of the opportunity. Lying to her customers is a dead giveaway…buyer BEWARE!
Never felt tempted to buy her product or simply support her tbh. I never really trusted that it was a good idea to consume. I also feel she lives in a world of delusion

One thing that was never factored in is state and federal taxes. She should have gotten it trademarked and the formulation copyrighted and then sell the trade mark and copyright to a company that wanted to make this in to a big product
@paulatmuniz that's the part that makes her look just so ignorant. Dave's took a big risk in giving her those advances. They was no guarantee the sauce would have made that back. They are literally taking on the full cost of production and shipping. All she had to do was shut up and make her tiktok videos. I do not feel bad for her one bit.
@@jip230Absolutely, but even if someone advised her to do that, I don't think she would've, given that she was mixing milk and "vinger" and telling potential customers that she didn't have to provide nutritional facts.
If you ever get a large sum of money ESPECIALLY if you have a kid. First take care of housing and a car Then debt/emergency fine.... Oh…NOW it’s a prototype! Where was this prototype talk when she was receiving money for it and charging full price? Nowhere 🤦🏾♀️ Plus, instead of using the 120k to build a better business model, she decided to live off of it like it was residual income. She messed it up for herself.

She would have definitely been stopped from selling more, and possible already sued. 3. Only 100 bottles were sent out, and a lot of them arrived already blown up, hence were never consumed. 4. depending on the ingredients, the amount of salt and acids could be enough to inhibit the production of botulinum toxin. What I find more likely is that it gave some people food poisoning. Not okay, but not in the same dimension as botulism. //Med student
The craziest part of this is that people are consuming something without an ingredient list. I look at every single ingredient list for food I buy to make sure it’s safe.
lol my brother has severe food allergies and I have to be the one to remind him to check ingredients. I've saved his life 3 times just by not being stupid. Trust me, there's a lot more than you think
11:35 the whole point of a prototype is to test the product before full release, it is tested by a few people and they give feedback to the creator so they can improve the mistakes before full release, you dont sell a prototype especially if its food because you could end up hurting people. So this woman legit has many if not all her screws loose
I must disagree with the title of the video. Both me and my friends, despite not being in any kind of marketing or food production, know not to sell food on a grand scale that has been created in a non-food safe environment, with unknown quantities of various ingredients, without previous and ongoing business feasibility assessment. Oh, and we wouldn't market that homemade poison on tiktok. The whole failure was her fault, start to finish.
This, at the very least learning is a skill and it’s one that would have saved this lady if she had researched and learned from being called out. I can garuntee I’d be researched the heck out of this and back before anything hit the shelves or people
As a future entrepreneur, I made sure to study her entire situation from the start to the downfall, learned from the decisions she made, understanding how she never had a business model. She started hyping up a product before she was done testing and sampling,BIG mistake. I think the hype got in the way of her clearer judgement. She also would not take ANY criticism. She thought everyone was tryna to make her fail. Another mistake, not being personable as a business owner. We are learning a lot, so no😂we will not be making the same mistakes Also as much as she messed up bad, a lot of people came out to admit that they weren’t actually sick, they just kinda jumped on the hate train. Thats why there’s no lawsuits so far lmao(my theory)
I would have thought people doing that would be charged with some form of slander or libel? Making a false accusation against someone with intent to harm their reputation is one of those and it is a crime
@@dynogamergurl She did threaten to sue them but I think she just let it go when the business fully flopped. Also seeing how she blew her first paychecks I can see why she couldn’t afford to take legal action then or now even. It’s a little sad. The closest she came was going on that show. Which was another dumpster fire.
She’s lucky they haven’t sued her for breach of contract… and for actively working to sabotage their sales, while creating a new pink sauce to compete with the Dave’s Gourmet’s version. Her spitefulness, ego, and lies have been her downfall. Even if the in-store version of her sauce had been good, her attitude made people not want to support her. I’d be pretty annoyed if I was Dave’s Gourmet.
She got a once in a lifetime opportunity and arrogantly threw it away. I feel she got what she asked the universe for. Dave's Gourmet is a fantastic company owned by a veteran. They took a chance on her and she stabbed them in the back. They provided all the receipts.
So, essentially. She just keeps scamming even when things miraculously turn around for her. She can't afford to feed her kids? She's about to be evicted? She's borrowing money from her disabled mother? People keep giving her money and she refuses to be grateful. I want her to learn to prioritize properly because how are you doing this to your family and still blaming the people who gave you the money for this business?
I think she was just posting something she made at home and then it went out of control…. Someone giving me 120,000$ I’m paying off all my debt and going to work on Monday 😂
I majored in culinary arts in my community college. My chef(professor) told my class that if you wanted to make a product no matter what it is, you MUST get it approved by the FDA for human consumption! I thought when I was younger, if I wanted to sell something to stores I make it at home, people eat it and loved it, and then, like magic, it's in stores. I can not remember the mechanics of getting it through the FDA, but I know, i was sad when my chef told me that hassle to get anything in stores.😢
“Just try it” but won’t tell us what the hell is it yeah ok 🤣🤣 people on TikTok are a different breed, I’m not trying shit that’s going to be spoiled before you even get to it
I work in banking. You would be surprised to how quickly people blow through large amounts of money like that. Especially when people have their hand out.
It's sad that it's the people that won't be grateful or take the blessing in stride are usually the ones that get a large windfall or mega opportunity not usually bestowed on people who would make the most out of it.
“You’re judging a prototype” yes and a key part of testing something is feedback from testers. But the thing is… even a “prototype” or first run of a food should be safe for the focus group to consume
I think the second biggest source of failure after she got the brand deal, aside from blowing all the money, was that she didn't actually rehabilitate her image. anyone who might have been interested in the sauce didn't trust her to be attached the a product after seeing how she reacted to criticism of her very public product. and she never did anything to actively show she had changed
For people who are wondering why the pink sauce wasn’t pink when it was in stores. She was using dragon fruit to make the pink sauce and dragon fruit isnt self stable. They had to use other ingredients in order to mass produce it and to be able to sell it in stores which is something she would have signed off on.
She admitted to refusing to engage in additional product development and doesn't understand how products work for selling in stores. She wanted her money and thought she could rest on her laurels. Refused to do the marketing she originally agreed to do and a host of other things. Veronica failed because of Veronica, not anyone else.
I thought she was a private chef and they liked the sauce so much she started the business. so being a chef she should know a thing or two about food and HACCP practices.
If she’s truly that desperate for money then maybe she should sell her designer clothes and purses and jewelry. She loves to flaunt them all over social media. Maybe that could bring in a profit for her
is she actually a chef? Where did she go to school? work? I feel bad for the kids! She had 100k and blew it on 1 day. But she was blinded by being tictok famous, and didn't prioritize the wellness of her own family. Then had the nerve to ask for a hand out. I'm offended, and angry. Disregarding people telling you the product is making them sick and arriving damaged. Yeah it's sad where she ended up. They need to teach money management in schools. When it comes to food if there is no proper flavor description, I don't get more interested. The color was so off putting. Pink is only an appetizing color for Salmon, shrimp and Grapefruit... Can you sell a prototype to people?
My problem is that she took absolutely no responsibility for her behavior and ignorance that caused her brand to fail. Her trying to say Dave's tried to take advantage then doubling down on the show blaming the customer for reviewing it for legitimate reasons it's not something everyone else would do. The fact that she hasn't really learned anything is telling.
23:45 Saving and managing money is such an important skill! I learnt it from my parents. My friends always thought my parents were rich, but that’s not the case, they are just good at saving money. My dad bought my mum a holiday house in Spain for her 50th birthday, not because he was rich but because he saved up for years! My parents taught me that an easy way to save is to give up on some luxuries. I don’t get my nails done, I don’t buy take away, I don’t go out to eat, etc. because I can get these things cheaper if I did it myself, and then I can put that money away for something in the future.
I appreciate that you always find a lesson to be learned in these videos. The Internet has been dogpiling on the pink sauce lady (which is deserved don’t get me wrong) but it’s refreshing to see genuinely good advice for solutions and moving forward.
Idk if this story is all that tragic she was a pretty bad businessperson and super arrogant, people tried to warn her and she didn’t listen. I guess you could argue that she got hyped up to not listen to the criticism by others defending her as this was in that “Your price is your price” over infatuation with being a business owner phase in the community with a splash of identity politics but that’s kinda outside the scope of the video.
i definitely believe the 13 yr old buying it bc my mom gave me her card for everything and trusted i wouldn't buy bad things (i didnt). I'm 21 now and called her because i needed to buy another course material and she was like "WHY DIDN'T YOU WRITE DOWN MY CARD INFO WHEN I GAVE IT TO YOU LAST TIME) lol
Not sure if this video broached upon it, and this is the part I don’t see myself doing, but I agree on your other points Chef Pi went out and slandered Dave’s Gourmet and they didn’t respond publicly for a while. It turned out that behind the scenes they were trying to make suggestions for loans to her or staggered payment plans but because they wouldn’t pay for her groceries, she ghosted them and avoided board room meetings, she was contracted to promote The Pink Sauce on social media a few times a month but she protested against them and didn’t make the videos, telling them that they had to pay her more for the videos she was already contracted with. Dave’s even sent her suggestions for a smaller birthday party promotion and said that they would fund that but she ghosted them again. Dave’s tried to work with her and showed her sympathy but instead she went out on videos and tweets talking about how awful of a company they are Had she not done that, and I would have probably been crying to the company and tried to figure out a payment plan with loan repayments with the lawyer they had offered her, I think she had more chance of making a turnaround
$120K is a good down payment for a house and if she behaved she would have made more than that to secure a good life for her and her kids but I guess running her mouth was the priority 😪
Maybe it’s from having a mother and father in healthcare but there is no friggin way I would order food off TikTok. I see so many of these small shops selling food out of their homes and dropping them off to people. No ma’am. I don’t even eat at office potlucks if it’s not catered because you just never know.
What about her content made people think "yeah, I trust her to make a food product that I can consume and not get sick or die." She clearly had no idea what she was doing. I admit it, I've never tried this stuff... it reminds me of that gross colored ketchup they made in the early 2000s -except that stuff was at least manufactured under FDA guidelines by a company that knew what they were doing, lol.

It was a profitable idea however never seemed appetizing, she clearly is not educated, and didn't know when to stop. She's one of many examples of this kind of situation. & Yes, it's sooo common for people who come across large amounts of money to blow it esp. they aren't financially literate and never had money before - it's a typical outcome (ex: lottery winners going broke shortly after winning). I think it comes down to awareness, education, and your environment.
I watched the whole saga on Atozzy, Tea Spill and other channels, but it was funny seeing Simone reactions, the Pink Sauce Lady is even more unhinged than this video from SunnyV2 has shown. She really is lucky that the early costumers and David Gourmets Didn't sue her, sheel should be in a far worse situation than she is now.
Why people buying food that need refrigerator that shipped over 2 weeks? She should have done research before. After the money reinvest into the brand. Save for the future too. Really money gone to her head
I respect the hustle spirit that a lot of entrepreneurs have...but in some cases it's soooooo obvious that they didn't pay attention during school classes... The same can be said about people who buy food from random people online... especially those with food allergies...like come on people. Do better!
I believe part of the reason why the money got drained was because she didn't rent an apartment but rented an expensive airbnb so she really should have made better choices
Anyone who would buy this and eat this needs to have their heads examined. The woman looked crazy, there is no nutritional information, no ingredients and this woman has never known what the fda was. This is crazy
Maybe go through course careers before starting a business lol . Especially if you have no financial literacy background. I hope her taxes don’t catch up to her.😅
I thought that Dave’s gourmet was gonna be her saving grace, they changed the color to keep the ingredients natural and preserved so they wouldn’t go bad and she thought that making her product edible was such a bad thing
This video should not be about money management. That color comes from “Food Coloring”. There is no other way. Some random person posts something viral on Tiktok, and people buy from her without even considering health implications? Absolute terrible world we live in, this product could have killed someone. How did Walmart even allow this in their stores? Was there no inspection of the product? Her being broke or making a comeback should be least of anyone’s concern. I don't feel sorry for the people that bought it. They knew it was something that was home made and was not approved for consumption. They bought it just because it's pink. The majority of young girls and women bought this crap. Y'all are gonna learn the easy way or the hard way that everything on social media is not all what it seems. She spent over 100 K on herself in less than 1 year that why she broke
uh huh, and the IRS will bytch slap her back into yesterday for failing to pay taxes.
A chef probably means she watched a tik tok on how to fry an egg, and catering means she fed her kids breakfast.
Exactly. Those who made it slow respect the money cause they worked hard to gain it.
I was rooting for her at first, but she was done after she went on that talk show to gaslight the girl for giving an honest review

Now why wasn't she working during this time? They gave her money and she did everything but work.
I believe Dave's gourmet even told her yo do that.
@@LA-mz1dd They did tell her...That was a life changing dream deal she messed up. She had so much debt they had to clear so that they wouldn't look bad she took people money and did ship orders. She was in such bad situation that David Gourmet paid her in parcels before she had made any sells just she would have a roof to her kids head
@paulatmuniz that's the part that makes her look just so ignorant. Dave's took a big risk in giving her those advances. They was no guarantee the sauce would have made that back. They are literally taking on the full cost of production and shipping.

The craziest part of this is that people are consuming something without an ingredient list. I look at every single ingredient list for food I buy to make sure it’s safe.

We are learning a lot, so no😂we will not be making the same mistakes
Also as much as she messed up bad, a lot of people came out to admit that they weren’t actually sick, they just kinda jumped on the hate train. Thats why there’s no lawsuits so far lmao(my theory)

The closest she came was going on that show. Which was another dumpster fire.
She owes Dave's Gourmet money. They gave her multiple business loans on top of the 120k.
She’s lucky they haven’t sued her for breach of contract… and for actively working to sabotage their sales, while creating a new pink sauce to compete with the Dave’s Gourmet’s version. After the karamo show I really did not want to see her win. The way they treated that girl and just her arrogance told me everything I needed to know.

I believe it!
Veronica failed because of Veronica, not anyone else.
stable when freeze dried.
That's confusing to me bc dragon fruit isn't actually pink inside, only the skin. She was blending the skin? I didn't realize the skin was edible.
I don't understand why would anyone buy a food product from some stranger online
I thought she was a private chef and they liked the sauce so much she started the business. so being a chef she should know a thing or two about food and HACCP practices.
If she’s truly that desperate for money then maybe she should sell her designer clothes and purses and jewelry. She loves to flaunt them all over social media. Maybe that could bring in a profit for her
Dave’s encouraged her to keep working but she didn’t.
basically don't buy 800 dollar dresses and throw wild parties
And wigs… I see madddd wigs 😭😭😭😭😭
is she actually a chef? Can you sell a prototype to people?
she larps as a chef. kinda like the cosplayers do.
lol prototypes are not meant for sale, they are meant for testing design and refining a product BEFORE it hits the market
I cannot believe I still see her sauce in stores ..

100% agree

Not sure if this video broached upon it, and this is the part I don’t see myself doing, but I agree on your other points
Chef Pi went out and slandered Dave’s Gourmet and they didn’t respond publicly for a while. Dave’s tried to work with her and showed her sympathy but instead she went out on videos and tweets talking about how awful of a company they are
Had she not done that, and I would have probably been crying to the company and tried to figure out a payment plan with loan repayments with the lawyer they had offered her, I think she had more chance of making a turnaround
$120K is a good down payment for a house and if she behaved she would have made more than that to secure a good life for her and her kids but I guess running her mouth was the priority 😪

I thought that Dave’s gourmet was gonna be her saving grace, they changed the color to keep the ingredients natural and preserved so they wouldn’t go bad and she thought that making her product edible was such a bad thing
Be prudent out there, people.
