      @ I put it on hold. I am working towards my World Class technician certification. I got my automotive master tech complete and almost done with my truck master tech. The world class is 23 test total I think.

    I have the same issue with my iPhone in the compartment. It gets too hot. This is impressive work. The maps hack seems like a wonderful opportunity. Thank you for your postings.

    Daniel, I have a 2021 718 Spyder, which I absolutely enjoy. Super dependable super fun and a head turner. Can you please share with us how you became such an in adept mechanic?

      Thanks for commenting. It’s just experience working on my own cars a bit through the years plus lots of research and reading. A lot of specifics for cars I learn from others who contribute in various groups as well as info I get from official maintenance manuals. I wouldn’t call my self a mechanic though just a DIY dude!

      Yeah it has been so awesome. I used to have a hand-me down Lulzbot Taz 6 from a decade ago - makes me appreciate the new tech in the Bambu!

    I don't think your phone isn't charging because of inadequate power from your wireless charger. I tried it that way and got the same result. Phones will reduce the charging when they get hot and with no ventilation in that compartment the phone will get hot! So I charge the phone via cable. That worked better for me as the phone will more consistently charge to 100% or nearly so.

      That may be true! Today on a short trip I did see some gain in power. My Cayenne has an air conditioned charger - I love that !

    Hi Danial - I always enjoy your videos. You said that you might be interested in some 3d printing projects? I have a 718 Spyder with Cup 2 tyres, and in the summer these are very sticky even in normal use. As a result the amount of gravel/stones that get thrown up by the rear tyres causes a significant amount of paint damage to the forward facing edge of the rear wheel aperture (bottom of the bumper/fender). I have PPF there but it will not survive many miles. I noticed that the Spyder RS has a plastic lip moulding on the upper part of the aperture (I think it is to do with EU regulations on tyres needing to be fully enclosed when viewed from above?) and wonder whether something similar, attached to the forward facing edge of the rear bumper/fender lip, suitably profiled, would help avoid paint damage. I know something similar is available for the forward facing lip of the front wheel aperture (for the 718 and 991 from Tommy Lee?) but nothing has been done for the rear wheel aperture. Also, this TL protector is rather crudely shaped, so aesthetically it is not very pleasing. A whole host of European cars seem to have these small arch "lip" thingies (e.g. Fiat 500, Porsche Macan). Maybe this is an opportunity if your 3d printer can produce something of this size/shape?

      Thanks for h the feedback. I have a friend near by with a Spyder, I’ll have a look at it

      @@JetFuelOnly - thanks for replying. To be clear, the "lip" thing is only present on the Spyder RS, not the normal Spyder. My proposed new "lip" thing would fit both GT4 and Spyder bumpers, as they are the same profile (I think...).

      Yeah I meant my friend has an RS. Are you talking about the little wings that attach to the sides of the rear diffuser that the GT4RS has as well? www.suncoastparts.com/product/pkgt4rsdif.html

    Thanks, Danial! I appreciate your videos (fellow 718 owner, here). Have you considered shooting a behind-the-scenes episode of your channel? I'm considering getting into TH-cam and would love to know what gear you use for these instructional videos, your track day videos, and how you edit everything.

      Thanks! I'm not sure my viewers in general want for that, but I'll consider it. I appreciate those videos, and am tempted to make one. Just not sure how many of you guys want to see that.

    Hi Danial, I noticed that my wireless Apple Car play transmitter remains ON when I shut down the engine. Have you noticed this as well and if so, can it drain the battery if the car is not driven for a week as an example? What are your thoughts?

    • @JetFuelOnly
      @JetFuelOnly  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Wait 15 min and you will see it goes off.

      I have this same issue. It never turns off. No issues with battery draining that I've noticed, but the car doesn't sit more than 2 weeks at a time. If it does, I just simply unplug the transmitter. .

    I get it - but opening and putting your phone in the center console is the same effort as doing the same and plugging it in. You get a connection, it charges, and no buggy behavior.

      @JetFuelOnly  25 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It’s close but not the same to me. I wouldn’t have gone through the effort. Plus just hate having a length of cable in there. Previously I ran a retractable sub reel. But totally understand if someone doesn’t want to do the same.
