Rich black soil, bird silhouette obscured by the bright shimmering light of waves upon waves.
That’s how i imagine some souls when they wake up after dead each soul will hear and see different atmosphere depend of their path chosen in life

The title of the song sounds so sad. But when I listen to it, I get a sense of relief. Like a massive boulder being lifted from your shoulders. Maybe becoming strangers was a good thing. Maybe this person was toxic and the ruination of whoever this is, and this song is what the relief of letting that person go feels like.

I recommend a song from the game Inside called Submarine, the song sounds do vast but empty. It gives me a sense of emptiness, but at peace. This song reminds me so much of that song I wanted to share my recommendation if anyone wants to hear a similar song.
Walking away from a toxic person who you love is better than staying in a relationship where you don't feel happy anymore.
You speak my mind. Some people truly are toxic and even though it's painful to feel their absence, it's still a huge relief to know they are gone and there is no need to deal with their toxicity anymore. Pretty much explains my past long-distance relationship where I was dealing with lies, betrayal, and racism. Now, the boulder has been lifted from my shoulders and I don't have to deal with those things anymore.
I heard this about 3 years ago. I was working as a graphic designer at the time, long commute to the workplace, about an hour and a half one way. I’d usually spend all my time in the bus listening to ambient music.
Previous night, fought with my gf, went to sleep thinking it was over but wishing and hoping it wasn’t. Woke up the next morning, heading over to work, sitting in the bus heard this for the first time. Kept it on loop for an hour and a half the whole way. It’s weird how I recall that particular day and how I was feeling on that particular bus commute to work everytime that I listen to this now.

In becoming strangers, I am no longer having to struggle with anxiety because her actions disprove her words of affection to me. In becoming strangers, I allowed myself to find my now wife-to-be who I am happily together with for over 4 years.
We became strangers because I decided that my happiness & emotional well-being were more important than catering to her personality disorder.
Imagine, when two people who used to know each other very well, drifted apart for no apparent reason, became total strangers....with memories. This is what this sound describes to me. A painful feeling to experience. But beautiful at the same time

My wife left me almost 3 weeks ago and on 1/23/19 I'm fucking drunk. Love the one you have. Even if you wonder if they were the right choice. Because trust me, you'll wish you had them back if they leave before you figure that out. Relationships are hard. Communication and perseverance will get you through anything.

I guess my advice is, just be there for her when she needs you, because eventually she will come back. If you were good to her she will remember it. Once she tries other guys and realises how good she had it with you, she'll come back. It may take time, but time heals all things.

This somewhat reminds me of the main emotional track in the walking dead video game. I remember the first time I heard it, I had not known something of such somber nature. Finding this brought that same melancholy which is truly a beautiful thing to feel. To feel pain is to be human. To be lost is to be real.
No idea why, but the first thing I thought when I heard this was being stuck in deep desolate space with no way to contact anyone.
But anyway, I feel so chill to this song. I love it.

I've been listening this song for the last 5 years. So many things happened during this period. And last half of year my country have full scale war with russia. This song helps to make step "outside" as never before.

My best friend commited suicide. A few weeks before she died we had a silly argument over something trivial and didn't talk much after, mostly because we were too busy and caught up in our own lives.

The title to this song already just tells the darkness and despair we were going through with not only one another, but to all other aspects of life. I Listened to this song during those hard months.

This is wonderful. The mystetrious dreamlike background of someone entering a fantasly land with mountains, rivers and a hidden dragon through a squared gate located in space matches brilliantly with the breathtaking slow atmosphere and the progresin throughout the track is beautiful. I didn't even realize it was almost seven minutes long when I first listened to this, this just sets you into a different dimension. And this is FREE? Holy crap

My interpretation of this piece. I've listened to it many times already.
"We Became Strangers" doesn't mean someone who talked to you and doesn't talk to you anymore. It means someone you can no longer talk to anymore, for they have passed away.
For me, the eerie uneasy feeling of this synth, following the silence means that death is slowly creeping up on us. I view death as a beautiful thing as this life is temporary, and death provides the gateway to eternal life. That is why the sounds of this song sounds so beautiful yet the solemn silence and true mystery of death is horrific.
It reminds me of the precious life that each of us have on Earth and how delicate life can be as it can so easily be lost. I remember that we are not physical beings, but spiritual beings who can be transported at any instant.
I encourage you to live your life to the greatest potential, without fear, worries, drama, but seek the things your heart truly desires. Remove the smog and clouds from your thoughts of this world, and figure out what YOU need to fill your spirit.
I love ambient music and I listened to a lot of different music. At first I hated this piece, but now I'm in love with it as it gives me a true reality. This one really impacted me. Just thought I'd share.

We all have relationships with happy stories and memories that always come to a sad and unfortunate end. Trust me I would know I’ve felt this pain from my last relationship for months I wanted to be with her very much so but she wasn’t the one for me and she just wasn’t a good person I truly believe love does exist but just not for some people I hate to hear what happened to you I couldn’t imagine that pain but it will only make you stronger..

In certain situations, I feel as if you have to ask yourself if the person who you are is the person you want to show. Going forward with this context I would like to explain what it means for me to change my persona of myself around different people. Some ways to define it would be to say it’s a shift in my mentality. I would like to say it’s a mask for another show with a different audience. Some can handle a traumatized girl who was raped while others need a girl who is happy and healthy. However, at the same time, these different personas that I present aren’t necessarily not me, they are just different sides of me that I show to other people. While I would want to show the pain and emptiness that I am feeling, I understand and recognize that that’s not available as a choice most days. Most days if not all, around family and friends I have a certain mask that I wear. That mask is of the girl they want, it is of the happy girl who doesn’t have night terrors and isn’t afraid to go to school. That girl gets good grades and can laugh. However, I am not that girl. I am the girl who just has to smile and laugh for them so that they don’t hurt. I am the girl who has to hide behind these masks to pretend that I am fine. I am the girl who has to change for them.
You are mirroring what they want to see. I get it, cause i'm just like you. But in my case, it's because ever since i was 3, nobody wanted to see the real me. So i had to hide really deep, then mirror the person i was talking to.
