This figure is a dream come true for KOTOR fans. Oddly enough, the previous 30th Anniversary Revan couldn’t bend his elbows a full 90 degrees either lol. Love the softgoods, a massive improvement to the plastic cape and robe skirt. The previous release had no articulation in the swivel legs. I hope Hasbro releases Darth Malak, Darth Nihlus, Darth Sion, Darth Traya, Mandalorian Crusaders, The (REAL) Sith Trooper & the entire Ebon Hawk crew on this KOTOR card. Great review BB!
So many cool characters from KOTOR 1 & 2 and SWTOR i'd love to see as figures!
I'd love to see them do the Dread Masters from SWTOR, or at least one, I would be totally ok with them doing a deluxe Brontes if she comes with some of those mechanical tentacle fingers and her Wings.
Really liking this new format with collection in the background. Lighting was much improved for this review too
Bought some LED panel lights. It’s trial and error trying to reduce shadows at the same time as avoid overexposure. Will have it sorted soon.
So happy to finally get a proper Revan in this line. He looks fantastic, can’t wait to get him in hand! Also can’t wait for Jedi Revan! I know the Sith version is what everyone remembers and likes, but he was a Jedi far longer than he was a Sith.
Ever since TVC was revived I had been hoping for an all-new Darth Revan figure. After the justified outrage over Hasbro wanting to repack the TAC Revan, I'm so happy to finally have a modern update. 20 years of KOTOR being one of my favorite games and pieces of SW media has me eager for anything from the source. I bought a full case of Revan that arrived last week. 😁
What a gorgeous figure. Gonna break my heart replacing my old revan. I spent so much money on obtaining him but this is a far superior one to my old one

The problem with the thicker cards in the past was that they didn't increase the size of the wave figure shipping boxes. This meant they damage the cards trying to fit the same number of figures in and the bubbles can get wear too. I noticed in the DV vs OBK duel box that put wax paper between them to reduce wear.👍🏼
Yes, this has become a big problem. I order full cases from EE, and lately if I had to guess, every order since the thicker card stock, I would say 6 out of 8 figures come damaged right out of an unopened fresh factory box. Most common problem is the “ring of death” imprint on the card art where bubbles are rubbing against the adjacent card leaving white worn circles of scuff marks. So irritating! But lately, even bubbles are arriving damaged with crushed/cracked/dented bubbles along the outer sides and bottoms. Totally defeats the whole purpose of buying full case orders for my carded collection. I get better results buying individual figures from Pulse instead, who changed their inner box shipping liners to perforated cardboard wrapping. Most of my Pulse orders arrive mint or near mint as a result. Anyway, would be nice if Hasbro increased the size of their TVC full case boxes to accommodate the thicker card stock but after a year now of them not doing that there’s a zero percent chance we’ll ever see that happen…🤷🏻♂️

Fingers crossed that this updated version of darth revan being made will mean we will see update versions of Dark Malak, Darth h Nihilus, Exar Kun, Ulic Qel Droma, and even a figure of Darth Sion, kreia out in the future

Just got mine in the mail today.
I can't wait to get this action figure. I missed out on the 30th Ann, but the TVC version is much better. I like the cloth cape instead of vinyl or hard plastic. I can add that to Shae Vizla, Bastila Shan and Darth Malgus(when and if I get it). I want to see more KOTOR and other Expanded Universe TVC figures.

I really hope this is a sign for more EU characters in TVC, particularly for the Gaming Greats line. Star Wars games have captivated fans to the point where people STILL play these games 20+ years later. KOTOR I & II, Jedi Academy, Battlefront 2 (2005), Republic Commando, Bounty Hunte4, Jedi Outcast, Dark Forces I & II, Rogue Squadron...there are so many. We really should be getting characters like Asajj Ventress, Alpha-17, K'Kruhk, Delta Squad, Durge, Corran Horn, Ysanne Isard.
Revan is one of the few fictional characters who really lives up to the hype because of how well written the story is and how well integrated into that story he is as a character. Those two games are phenomenal, and I'd put them up there as being some of the best Star Wars media alongside Empire Strikes Back. Really, Hasbro should do a Haslab for the Ebon Hawk, and release the characters from both games. I think they're sleeping on just how well the video game characters would do.
Definitely gonna get this action figure. My son and I still play the game, Knights of the Old Republic, and read the comics once in a while. We needed this updated figure from the previous version that had no leg articulation and everything was plastic.
No knee and elbow articulation is always a no for me
Revan looks great I hope that hasbro starts to make more Legends classic figures, the old expanded universe was the best. We need Kyle Katarn, Jacen & Jaina, Darth Bane, Malak, Sion etc

That Darth Revan looks good, even though the 30th anniversary Revan is somewhat my favorite, this one is sure to go for big bucks later on if Hasbrodecides not to make any more, Great job Tim.

Great review and figure. Revan is such an iconic figure from KOTOR and i think universally the character is liked. Ill get 2. One to keep carded. The background image is used on the revan novel and is a great image. Would love to see all the major characters from the game in the vc line.

Great review and awesome figure. Really liking your new setup. I like what they have done with the cape on this figure where it is attached under around the neck and under the head. Could they not do that going forward with figures who have capes? Obviously, they would have to be soft, good capes.

Great looking figure but it's really frustrating when they don't include hilts with these figures especially with this one where he has all those rings on his belt you could have easily slid a peg into to hang some hilts. Yes all these characters look great with their sabers out but a Jedi/sith has their sabers on their belt more then in battle. We should just always have the option to display them how we want.

Speaking of articulation getting worse, I’ve noticed that the head articulation has gotten a lot worse recently. With Pre Vizsla for example, he can’t really look up and his head is barely able to move around, as compared to the new Thrawn. Just something I’ve noticed in recent figures that’s been really bothering me
Love the figure, but I think it would have been absolutely perfect, if they could have figured out a soft goods hood! I actually hate plastic hoods on todays figures! Like you said, they figured it out for Luke (Imperial light cruiser) , so they should be doing the same for ALL hooded figures! Other than that, it truly is an amazing piece!!
It's kinda sad this figure might be the best look we get at the slightly altered Darth Revan design from KOTOR - Remake, assuming the remake is actually dead. Hopefully we'll at least get to see some concept art eventually like we did for 1313.

It looks like the blades are not removable from the lightsaber hilts, nor does he come with unlit hilts. Add in the less range of motion in elbows, it looks like Hasbro is cutting corners to save money, just like with the Black Series.
I wonder why they have changed the elbow joints to reduce the range of movement?

Great looking figure. But bad news for collectors like Nick (aka Only One Kenobi) and myself who use peg stands, once again I read this one comes with very shallow peg holes rendering them useless for stands…🤦🏻♂️. So maddening this is happening too frequently now…🤷🏻♂️.
I'm a figure stand guy, this isn't the worst for peg holes, but not great.

Hasbro has it on pre-order for the longest time and I don't see anyone talking about it or selling it on ebay. Also, this set was supposed to come with 2 carded figures: the droid D8D and a reissue of the infamous Salacious Crumb, did you get those figures? what is their VC number? thanks for all you do for the Star War community. This figure is just proof that baylan skoll and shin hati could have had their capes because vintage never gets anything that black series doesn't so I know we won't be getting their capes
On top of the fact that black series actually gets stuff vintage doesn't like the ability to remove pre vizlas lightsaber and put it on his jet pack same with baylan and shin you know we won't get their blades removable like black series is

Seeing this figure shown off between this video and MAKMCSWF's and the limited articulation makes me not want to bother picking him up and just sticking with my 30th Revan.
Disney better not get their cold slimy hands on Darth Revan, Darth Malak, Darth Malgus or Darth Bane. So many characters have been ruined by Disney's usual emasculation of strong male characters (heroes and villains), I sincerely hope and pray Revan will not get touched.

Emasculation? Originally Revan could also be played and portrayed as a female in the game, the player was able to choose. Star Wars has never been about machismo and Princess Leia was a strong woman character from the beginning. At one time in George Lucas’ 1970s drafts the main protagonist was going to be Starkiller and she was a young woman.
@IliasTsatsis-mc9ig Starkiller was absolutely in the early drafts of Star Wars. That name has been known for a very long time, and it was a nod to that history when the name was used for the protagonist for The Force Unleashed.
Revan is canonically a male as seen in SWTOR. The Exile is canon female.

I pre-ordered the figure when it was first announced from BBTS and it's already sold out on their web site. Luckily I did order it when I did and BBTS is stating it should arrive this month (April 2024), so here's hoping for it's arrival.
